Item #: SCP 4376
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP 4376 is to be held in a standard 5x5 meter humanoid containment chamber. SCP 4376 is to be fed one scoop of ███████ brand dry cat food twice daily and one can of wet food once a week. A cat tower and clean litter box must always be available to SCP 4376. Due to all scientists refusing to clean said litter box on the accord of the abnormally horrid odors, all D-class personnel on floor 1 at Site MEOW will be designated cleaning days, or as Doctor Melcher calls it, "A ████-Scoop day" on which they are to clean the litter box if any waste matter is present, and to check for any tapeworm larvae present in said feces. In the event that a DECA event is declared, all personnel at Site PURRRR are to don radiation suits and evacuate to the nearest safe room until the lockdown is lifted.
Description: SCP 4376 typically assumes a solid form resembling MEOW an orange and white tabby cat. As of September 17th, 2020, SCP 4376’s MEOW torso measures at approximately 34.2 centimeters long, and weighs 3.7 kilograms. SCP 4376 shows no signs of hostility towards humans but displays predatory behavior when exposed to small rodents and insects. SCP 4376 can shift through different phases of matter, including solid, liquid, gas, and plasma. It does not seem to need to go through the natural cycle of states, such as a solid becoming a liquid, then becoming a gas. It can deposit and sublimate itself at will and does not need to be a gas to transition into a plasma state. SCP 4376 has also been recorded to achieve a new state of matter yet to be recorded in what has been designated a DECA event. This matter is similar in behavior to a gas and gives off a strong amount of ionizing radiation of varying wavelengths. Said wavelengths have been recorded to fluctuate wildly between 0.07 nanometers to 3 picometers. Testing has revealed that SCP 4376 only transmutes into this state when mortally wounded, suggesting that this is a state that SCP 4376 enters to heal its wounds, as it emerges with no indication of any previous injuries. SCP 4376 was taken into Foundation custody on February 12, 19██ in Draßmarkt, Austria, where Agent ████ was stationed at the time. Local newspapers had published an article under the name “The Cat of Goop: Secret Government Experiment?” that described SCP 4376. Under the guise of a health inspector, Agent ████ was immediately dispatched to investigate the news station, and found SCP 4376 in a cat carrier in the backroom of the news station. Class C amnestics were administered to all of the news station crew and civilians that the newspaper was delivered to.

Begin log:
DR BREWT: What do you mean, SCP-4327 fried the file!?!
TECHNICIAN: It found a way into the room. I had the file on it open, recording the escape attempt, and it ran into the room right over here, by the computer. I tried to grab it fast, but it just kind of melted and spilled on the computer. Sparks went flying, all that crap.
DR BREWT: Is the computer okay?
TECHNICIAN: Yeah, it works, but I can’t change the part of the file that corrupted for some reason. It just says “meow meow meow” now. I may have to delete the document and replace it with the backup.
DR BREWT: Not just yet. Maybe this will be useful. Can you write around it?
TECHNICIAN: Sure, I guess. I don’t get you guys… I’m still going to run 24ndR6 so you can read most of it though.
DR BREWT: Thank you.
