collab: Dr.Benjamin Goodman

Concept: Dr. Benjamin Goodman

- He is hispanic man in his mid-30s that is deemed a "doctor" by the foundation although he has no educational background. He is in charge of interviewing SCPs in order to try to understand them.
- His fake identity is that he is a researcher in the Foundation who was once a child psychologist. He was hired by the foundation due to his reputation.
- In reality, he is an Euclid-class SCP that only members with high clearance know.
- He is "contained" by giving him clearance to the whole site (being constantly observed) but cannot leave without permission.
- He has a "calming aura" that allows him to neutralize dangerous beings & their effects, & interacting with them enables him to establish an emotional attachment similar to family or someone who needs to be protected by the being.
- The being needs to at least meet Dr. Goodman in person once to be affected by this. Once Goodman leaves, the being returns to their normal state. After their first encounter, Goodman's "aura" can affect the being regardless of distance, as long as it is having a conversation with Goodman.
- If Dr. Goodman is in grave danger, he is able to subconsciously let anyone who has met him know, & they will try to protect him to best of their abilities (This is known due to an incident)
- He is very kind & friendly, as well as respectful to others, often thinking carefully on how to encounter someone as to not disrespect or offend them.
- He has high moral standards & the foundation is very careful in respecting his decisions, as if he is he is harmed in ANY way, he subconsciously makes any being within 3 meters from him become extremely hostile towards the person who has harmed Dr. Goodman.
- Dr. Goodman was discovered when a dangerous SCP escaped containment but was found in a nearby city having a conversation with a Dr.Goodman, who was then a homeless man.
- Dr. Goodman has recollection prior to his involvement with the SCP foundation, but does have "dreams" of him being with a kind fragile woman.
- The thing that makes Dr. Goodman a possible threat is that he can not only calm anyone around him but he also is able to control them, in a way. If Dr. Goodman wasn't the kind gentleman he is, but a sadistic madman, who knows if anyone is going to be able to stop him?
- Due to the fear of him reacting in a bad way, the foundation has restricted letting Dr. Goodman know of his abilities, or the fact that he himself, is an SCP.

- The main idea behind Dr. Goodman is that he is a tool in providing a more humane approach to an SCP
- His notes on an SCP he encounters are of how the foundation can try to understand that the SCP's shouldn't just be contained, but understood.
- He believes that many of the SCP's should be treated in a more humane way, & believes that many of the hostiles SCP's are just trying to defend themselves.
- I'm hoping that later on this could be a collaboration in which other people can write the interviews of Dr. Goodman & their own SCPs, so we can try to understand how these SCP's think & how the foundation can try to contain them better.
- For now though, as this is my first SCP, I would like to co-author this with someone in order for them to help me mold this idea into something more presentable. Plus: I wouldn't mind having critique on how to make this better.
