Containment Class:
esoteric
Special Containment Procedure: All audio channels are to continuously monitor communications for mentions of Dr Jones outside of Site-11. If seen, MTF Pi-7 (Nosy Coworkers) are to be deployed to the vicinity and are tasked with covertly monitoring the area for up to one week. SCP-ZZZZ-1 is considered hostile and currently uncontainable as SRAs are proven ineffective; thus, an order for decommissioning has been passed.
Description: SCP-ZZZZ describes the relationship between an anomalous object and its anomalous holder. The holder (designated SCP-ZZZZ-1) is an anomalous Type Blue individual identified as Dr Jones. The object (designated SCP-ZZZZ-2) is an ornate broken mirror carried by SCP-ZZZZ-1 which can be used to create imperfect copies of itself.
SCP-ZZZZ-1 is a 1.9-meter tall white male, aged 37. SCP-ZZZZ-1 is a copy of Foundation researcher Dr Jones, aged 28.
SCP-ZZZZ possesses an ability to duplicate itself and manipulate these iterations at will. These iterations are not entirely corporeal. When their form is disrupted, they will dissipate or otherwise appear to shatter. Small physical disruptions are sufficient to produce this effect. All iterations of SCP-ZZZZ appear to have to word "opyt" branded into their foreheads alongside slight defects and deviations from the original.
Furthermore, SCP-ZZZZ is capable of near-instant manifestation and de-manifestation. However, it does appear to have limitations to where it can manifest. Furthermore, SCP-ZZZZ can de-manifest in any location, despite nearby SRAs. SCP-ZZZZ has also been linked to a raid of Site-64. Both incursions into these sites were from the exterior.
SCP-ZZZZ was first discovered by the Foundation during a containment breach at Site-11. Upon further testing, researchers have deduced that SCP-2540 had become riper. It is unknown how this has affected the anomaly overall, although it still seems stable. The full video log has been transcribed below.

Notes: SCP-ZZZZ seems familiar with the facility's layout despite never being seen there previously. Higher identification checks of personnel are pending.
<Camera 04: Entrance (18:04)>
SCP-ZZZZ casually converses with the guards about entry to the offices.
<Camera 04: Entrance (18:12)> The conversation between SCP-ZZZZ and the guards escalates, an attempt to restrain SCP-ZZZZ is made. The subject punches a guard and is seen to divide into six copies of itself; the instances are labelled SCP-ZZZZ-2 to 7 respectively. Many of these copies are seen to have slight defects such as an extra finger or lacking ears; although, all of them display the word "opyt" on their forehead. This does not seem to affect the capabilities of the instances.
<Camera 04: Entrance (18:13)>
Both guards attempt to fire at the instances, causing them to dissipate.
<Camera 04: Entrance (18:16)>
The guards are quickly subdued via a blow to the back of the head. SCP-ZZZZ is seen patting them on the back and laughing. It then enters the administration offices.
<Camera 03: Entrance (18:17)>
SCP-ZZZZ re-exits the offices. Face recognition confirmed the face as matching Dr Jones from Site-11's research department. The figure proceeds to walk towards the stairs leading to the Primary Containment area.
<Camera 12: Wing E (18:25)>
SCP-ZZZZ stops at a doorway with a plaque on reading SCP-2540. He then opens the door and enters the containment chamber. Footage from the camera within the chamber is corrupted and inaccessible.
<Camera 12: Wing E (18:37)>
Grasping a metal box in one hand, SCP-ZZZZ walks out of the chamber. He is observed to check a simple metal watch on his wrist and de-manifest.
<Camera 12: Wing E (18:38)>
A note can be seen to be left upon the floor, it reads "I would appreciate it if you pretend this never happened. Dr Jones".
Finding out more about this unidentified group is a high priority. Its connection with a recent containment breach at Site-64, along with the theft of a recently recovered anomalous object, needs to be investigated. O5-2.
This new POI is to be given the temporary designation of "Opyt". When seen, Pi-7 is to be mobilised immediately. O5-2.
After an investigation into the whereabouts of Dr Jones during this period, security footage showed him working with SCP-████ in his lab. There was no evidence that the footage was tampered with. An interview log with Dr Jones is attached below. Under no circumstances is Dr Jones to be made aware of the incident. Furthermore, Dr Jones is to be kept under surveillance by MTF Pi-7 to prevent him from meeting SCP-ZZZZ-1.
Interview #ZZZZ-01:
Interviewer: Dr Martha Gschwind (Director of Personnel of Site 11) and Dr Rose Foster (Containment Director of Site 11) on standby.
Foreword: Dr Ted Jones is to be questioned about his background and recent SCPs tested to determine what could have caused this anomalous version of himself to manifest.
[Begin Log, 29/07/2015]
Dr Gschwind: What was your occupation prior to being recruited by the Foundation?
Dr Jones: Uh, I was studying at the International Center for the Study of Unified Thaumatology. I was in my last year when one of your agents approached me at the job seekers fair.
Dr Gschwind: Why were the other options unsuitable for you?
Dr Jones: What other options?
Dr Gschwind: Nevermind. What made you want to join the Foundation?
Dr Jones: I mean your facilities for research are amazing, The ICSUT was good and all, but it could have had better labs. Here, I get to do things they can't even imagine. It's a pretty easy choice.
Dr Gschwind: I see. What anomaly have you been working with recently?
Dr Jones: Oh god, uhm. If you discount the mini SRAs, [REDACTED], my work on improving the range of the XACTS… er… Working on portable thaumaturgical pocket universes, can't quite seem to stabilise them yet though.
Dr Gschwind: Thank you. Did you experience anything unusual during any of these tests?
Dr Jones: Not that I could tell, the pocket wasn't stable enough for any further examination.
Dr Gschwind: Anything with the SRAs or XACTS then?
Dr Jones: Nope. Well, apart from the fact the SRAs seem a bit weaker when smaller.
Dr Gschwind: Alright that is all, thank you for your time Dr Jones.
Dr Jones: No problem doctor, have a good day.
Dr Jones strolls out of the room, humming loudly.
Post Interview Notes:
Dr Foster: He seems… Scatterbrained for lack of a better word. Definitely dissimilar to the one we saw on the video footage. He looked younger than the video too.
Dr Gschwind: He is a known type blue, but what we saw from the video certainly wasn't comparable to any known thaumatology, The email I got back from Dr Moose said she hadn't heard of anything like it before. I radioed Site-██ before the meeting and they have agreed to lend us an agent from MTF Pi-7 to keep watch on him for the foreseeable future.
Addendum 1 - 16/07/2015:
Dr Jones failed to report to his assigned workplace. After having no response from his flat, guards were deployed from the nearest Foundation site. Following multiple attempts to gain access to the residence, they managed to force the door open.
Inside the flat in the living room, Dr Jones was found bleeding heavily on the floor with lumps and bruises covering his body. In front of him was a partially cracked mirror with the words "This is a miror" etched into its surface. Below this, written in blood, was a reply: "And I, am a typo". Dr Jones was taken to the medical bay of Site-11 to recover. He is currently held in stasis on life support.
A subsequent search of his apartment found a note on his desk. A transcript of it is attached below.
Hello again, I do believe I already asked politely for you to stop interfering. The path you choose here determined the outcome. I was content to let him be, but you made him a liability, an unknown variable to me. He had the potential to become dangerous to the timeline.
I happen to dislike such worrisome loose ends.
Dr Jones
p.s. Sorry about the mess.

Foreword: Your interest in me is quite entertaining. I apologise for my relative secrecy.
Dr Gschwind: Hello Dr Jones, we are just doing a regular check up on our staff. I'm going to ask you some questions about yourself, if that's alright?
SCP-ZZZZ-1: Hello there Foundation of W-006. Sorry that we couldn't meet face to face.
Dr Gschwind interrupts Dr Jones
Dr Gschwind: Sorry, I have a selection of questions to ask today.
SCP-ZZZZ-1: Sure Doctor, go right ahead, I have all the time in the world.
Dr Gschwind: What was your occupation before being recruited by the Foundation?
SCP-ZZZZ-1: I was studying at the International Center for the Study of Unified Thaumatology. I was in my last year when a Foundation agent approached me at the job seekers fair..
Dr Gschwind: Why have you defected from the Foundation.
SCP-ZZZZ-1: We never did defect, we are still a Foundation of a kind. Just not one that you recognise.
Dr Gschwind: Nevermind. What made you want to join the [DATA REDACTED]?
SCP-ZZZZ-1: Someone has to keep all of you in control. It's bad for everyone when a timeline goes under, you could say we learnt this first hand…
Dr Gschwind: I see. What anomaly have you been working with recently?
SCP-ZZZZ-1: I believe you have regrettably experienced our work on the 1207 instances. I am sorry about the… loss of a colleague.
Dr Gschwind: Thank you. Did you experience anything unusual during any of these tests?
SCP-ZZZZ-1: It was just as gruesome as I remember it, effective but haunting. Although I see in here that you have figured out some of their drawbacks.
Dr Gschwind: Why are you here?
SCP-ZZZZ-1: The Foundation collapsed, the world died, and we faced it head-on. We were merely part of the lucky few to survive. We hope to spare you— spare everyone, that experience.
Dr Gschwind: Thanks for your time Dr Jones
