Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: A DNS hijack protocol has been implemented by Foundation webcrawlers in order to redirect anyone attempting to access the SCP-XXXX channel or collection of videos. An alert has been set in place for any future activity by the channel.
A containment cell has been prepared on the chance of Ty Rex being secured in Site-45.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a channel on the online video-sharing platform YouTube, titled "Best Prehistoric Pranks!" Videos uploaded to the channel demonstrate a number of anomalous properties, the most prominent of which is that the videos uploaded to the channel feature footage of living, anatomically correct dinosaurs filmed in what appears to be the Mesozoic time period.
The channel currently has 51 videos uploaded, all of which revolve around a juvenile tyrannosaurus rex interacting with other dinosaurs. These interactions are, for the most part, highly anachronistic - see Addendum 1 for further details.
Technical discrepancies exist within SCP-XXXX as both the upload date and other pertinent metadata state that the videos were uploaded between 66 million years ago and 1 million years ago, despite YouTube being launched in 2005 and the Internet and video cameras not existing until the 20th century. All videos have been uploaded with the title pattern of "Dino Pranks" followed by a number corresponding to the order of the video's upload and the "About" section of the channel is blank.
SCP-XXXX was discovered during investigation into the effects of SCP-XXXX and is believed to be produced by the same Ty Rex.
Addendum 1:
Video title: Dino Pranks #1: Walking Water
Thumbnail: A cartoon Tyrannosaurus Rex is depicted in front of a photograph of a pond in a wooded area. The pond is believed to be the same one depicted in the video itself.
Footage starts with the standard Dino Pranks intro animation before revealing Ty Rex standing in front of a pond in a wooded area.
Ty Rex: H-hey! Welcome to my YouTube channel! I've had the idea to do this for (Ty Rex trails off for a moment, appearing to be lost in thought) a while, I guess. But better late than never! Today I'll show you a simple prank that anyone can do!
Ty Rex: This (Ty Rex pans the camera over a small pond) is the local water hole where everyone gathers for a nice drink every now and then. But consistency makes for a great target of a prank! So what we're going to do here is just dig a little trench-
Footage cuts to a series of wide shots from various angles as Ty Rex digs a trench, using his snout and feet as shovels, until he reaches another dug out area down the hill. The camera then jumps back to the original view and Ty Rex returns to standing in frame.
Ty Rex: And then you just finish your trench by digging the last little bit and watch as the water flows down into a new pond that you made! The next time someone comes for a drink of water they'll be so surprised! Alright that's it! Thanks for watching!
Footage then cuts to the standard Dino Pranks end card, recommending the playlist of other videos.
Video title: Dino Pranks #8: Messing with the nerds
Thumbnail: Two cartoon Tyrannosaurus Rexes are depicted facing each other. The one on the left is depicted wearing overalls and bottle glasses with tape on the bridge. The one on the right is depicted wearing a varsity jacket with a bright red torso and dark green sleeves.
Ty Rex: Hey everyone! Welcome back to DinoPranks, where I teach you how to be the ultimate prankster!
Ty Rex: Today, I'm going to show you a trick all pranksters should know: the long prank. All you'll need is some mud, a stick, and your own two feet.
Ty Rex: First, you stick your feet in the mud, let it get all over your feet, and then let the mud dry on in the sun or by your firepit. Once it's dry, go get some more on and keep going until you have big blocks of mud for feet!
Ty Rex: Then, with your stick, carve out your block of mud to look like big ol' monster feet. I, personally, like to give myself an extra toe just to be extra confusing. Then, go stomping around and leave your big, weird footprints everywhere! In the future, they'll find your footprints and think there was a big, five-toed monster walking around and only you'll know the truth!
Ty Rex: Alright that's it! Thanks for watching!

Video title: Dino Pranks #4: Tar Pit Pool Party
Thumbnail: A cartoon Tyrannosaurus Rex in sunglasses appears to be laughing in front of a photograph of a horizon above water.
Footage starts with the standard Dino Pranks Intro animation before revealing Ty Rex standing in a wooded area. A herd of Apatosaurus are out of focus in the background
Ty Rex: Wazzap pranksters! Today this herd of longneck idiots decided to walk into my territory and you know what that means! DINO PRANKS!
Footage cuts to a first-person perspective of Ty Rex looking at a tipped-over log with a series of objects placed upon it. The objects, in order, appear to be a pile of cladophlebis fronds, some removed meganeura wings, and a concave rock filled with mud
Ty Rex: For this prank you're going to need to know a little bit of geography! So before you do it on your own, make sure you scout out the area to find your local tar pit and that you know where it is. Just to add to the prank today I've gathered a big ol' leaf for a towel for chillin' on the beach, some sunblock, and some nice shades. And now I'm ready to go!
Footage cuts to a landscape shot with the Apatosaurus herd in focus. Suddenly, from the left side of the screen, Ty Rex comes running at full speed yelling "CANNONBALL!!" towards the herd. The Apatosauruses turn and begin to stampede in the direction that Ty Rex had been running. Footage then cuts to an angular view of a tar pit as the herd rushes into the tar, becoming stuck and sinking in, while Ty Rex walks towards the camera wearing the meganeura wings as a pair of sunglasses.
Ty Rex: And there ya go! Another successful DINO PRANK! Catch ya later!
Footage then cuts to the standard Dino Pranks end card, recommending the playlist of other videos.
Video title: Dino Pranks #5: Jump scaring the neighbours
Thumbnail: A cartoon Tyrannosaurus Rex is depicted beside a set of three small cartoon compsygnathuses. Each compsygnathus is depicted with large cartoonish eyes and a large exclamation point is placed above each of their heads/
Video significance: First look into the home life of Ty Rex.
Footage starts with the standard Dino Pranks Intro animation before revealing Ty Rex standing in front of a cave.
Ty Rex: Wazzap pranksters! Today a group of compsygnathus chose to move in above me and I was gonna scare them off, but then I realized this was a time for a DINO PRANK!
Ty Rex: Obviously I could just go up there and scare them away myself. But where's the fun in that? So I'm gonna show you a little trick I learned when I was little to scare anyone off!
Footage cuts to the interior of the cave. A rudimentary nest has been constructed out of leaves and stones, presumably for the purpose of sleeping. The walls appear to be covered in small, straight scratches. Ty Rex walks into frame with a collection of supplies in his mouth and arms. He then spits them onto the floor and proceeds to lift each one before explaining its purpose.
Ty Rex: You're going to need some tree bark, some leftover bones, and some meat for this prank.
Ty Rex: First, you lean the bark against the wall, then you take the bone and smoosh it into the meat until it's all red like this (Ty Rex lifts the bone up to show the camera that it has been coated in blood and various viscera). Then you just rub it around on the bark until it starts to look nice and scary!
Ty Rex: Of course, if your arms aren't as stubby as mine, you could probably just do this using your hands. But I just prefer this way because it lets you control it more.
Ty Rex: Another tip I have is that this doesn't only work as a prank. If you get really good you can make your bark look nice and friendly and talk to them when you get lonely. Sometimes talking to some bloody bark is better than nothing, you know?
Ty Rex: Alright! And there we go! Three monsters to scare off the new neighbours!
Ty Rex lifts each piece of dripping bark into view of the camera with his mouth. Each piece resembles a child's drawing of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, Megalodon, and Spinosaurus, respectively.
Footage cuts to being lifted up above the cave, presumably attached to one of the pieces of bark, and is shaken around while Ty Rex lets out a roar and the compsygnathuses run away. Footage is then spun around to a close-up shot of Ty Rex's snout.
Ty Rex: And there ya go! Another successful DINO PRANK! Catch ya later!
Footage then cuts to the standard Dino Pranks end card, recommending the playlist of other videos.
Video title: Dino Pranks #6: Pranking the ULTIMATE VICTIM
Thumbnail: Two cartoon Tyrannosaurus Rexes are depicted facing each other. The one on the left has been given large cartoonish eyes and an exclamation point has been placed above its head.
Video significance: Video presents an advanced look into the life of Ty Rex and depicts a monumentous prehistoric event.
Footage starts with the standard Dino Pranks Intro animation before revealing Ty Rex standing inside his cave observed prior. On the left side of the screen, the environment outside the cave seen through the opening is completely obscured by smoke and embers. As Ty Rex walks into frame, he pivots the camera to frame himself sitting in his nest.
Ty Rex: Hey there pranksters! You probably already know this, but there's a bit of an event going on outside1 so instead of pranking someone else, I'm going to show you some pranks that you can do on the ultimate victim: YOURSELF! Dun dun dun!
Ty Rex: The hardest part of pranking yourself is that you will always see it coming. But that's also a strength because then half the prank is the stress of always expecting the prank!
Ty Rex: For the first prank, which I call yucky food, is where you go to your stockpile of meat and take a little piece out and dip it in something yucky. (The camera pans over a pile of bones and meat in the corner of the cave. Ty Rex walks over towards it and pulls out what appears to be a piece of a triceratops thigh while he continues to talk in a voice-over) For me, I like to use bug juices to really up that yuck factor. Then, once it's all gross, just throw it back in the pile and mix it around! For the next few years you'll be anxious of taking from the pile until suddenly BAM! you get the yucky food. Plus, it'll make you stop snacking so much while you wait for all this to blow over! Pranked!
Ty Rex: The second prank is just like the one we did when scaring your neighbours with a little bit of a twist! Just like in the other video, you're going to need the bark, meat, and a bone. This time, though, instead of drawing something scary, you're going to draw something friendly! And then, when you're done, you'll put it outside your door or a window if you have one and just do your normal business until you can leave your house again. Then, by the time you leave again, you'll have forgotten about the prank and will open the door to some friendly neighbors come to say hello and by the time you realize they aren't real you'll have had a full conversation! BOOM! Pranked yourself! Obviously this one only works if you're like me and don't usually have anyone to talk to.
Ty Rex: Thanks for watching! Hopefully I'll catch you pranksters when this finally ends! Deuces!
Footage then cuts to the standard Dino Pranks end card, recommending the playlist of other videos.

Video title: Dino Pranks #11: A mammoth of a prank
Thumbnail: A cartoon Tyrannosaurus Rex is depicted wearing a fur coat and a photograph of a woolly mammoth has been utilized as a background.
Video significance: Video depicts Ty Rex’s fist interaction with intelligent beings.
Footage starts with the standard Dino Pranks Intro animation before revealing Ty Rex standing in front of a pond in a wooded area.
Ty Rex: Hey there pranksters. It's been a while since I made my last video on this channel but I need something to do in the cold so let's see what kind of mischief we can get up to!
Ty Rex: For this prank you are going to need to have caught a big ol' mammoth and to have found a group of humans. First, you'll just crawl into the mammoth hide (Ty Rex crawls into the hide of a mammoth and tucks his tail under him until only the hide can be seen awkwardly slumped atop him) just like this and duck down to keep it from falling off while you walk to the humans.
Footage cuts to a view on Ty Rex's snout as if the camera were attached to the tusk of the mammoth pelt as though it were a headset. A second, smaller screen is spliced into the video showing Ty Rex's first person perspective from within the mammoth pelt.
Ty Rex: Alright I've just walked past the humans and they've been following behind me for a while. I'm gonna let them get a little closer now and then-
Ty Rex suddenly spins around to face the group of humans pursuing him. There appears to be three adult human males carrying rudimentary spears and one older human carrying some form of torch made from a tree branch.
Ty Rex: ROOOOAAAARRRR- Wait a second! Is that fire?!
The humans turn and begin to run back in the direction they came from while jabbing backwards with the spears.
Ty Rex: No! Please! If you have fire you must have some kind of intelligence, right?! Please! Ouch! Stop throwing things! You're the first things to have also found fire! Please I just need to talk to someone!
As the group humans reach their cave, they run deep within the cavern, beyond where Ty Rex can fit, and disappear into the dark. Ty Rex continues to try to reach them by throwing himself against the stone and pleading for the next 30 seconds. The footage then cuts to the view of Ty Rex's snout as he walks back to his cave with the night sky behind him.
Ty Rex: Heya pranksters! Looks like I have some more impressive prankees on the rise! Today didn't go so well, but if I can get them to talk to me we could probably get some great group pranks! Maybe even a prank war! The possibilities are endless! Talk to ya later pranksters!
Footage then cuts to the standard Dino Pranks end card, recommending the playlist of other videos.

Video title: Dino Pranks #45 - No more pranks
Thumbnail: Thumbnail is a still taken automatically from the video itself.
Video significance: Video depicts a significant moment in the activity of SCP-XXXX
Footage starts with the standard Dino Pranks Intro animation before revealing Ty Rex standing in front of a cobblestone brick wall. Beside him is a window overlooking a grassy landscape with an early European castle in the distance.
Ty Rex: Hey pranksters. I'm really sorry that it's been so long since I last uploaded but I don't have any pranks for you today either. Instead, I wanted to just talk to you and let you know what the future is for dino pranks.
Ty Rex: I've been trying really hard to talk to these humans and be their friend but they just won't listen to me and anything I do seems to just make them mad. I've even been working really hard on some more advanced pranks but they just seem to make them even more mad. I had planned to make a video of a fire-breath prank a few years ago but as soon as I started filming some guy in a shiny suit ran up to me and stabbed me. Obviously I'm fine now, but it was really discouraging and I don't know it it's worth it anymore.
Ty Rex: So unless something changes, this is goodbye. Thank you for all the laughs and maybe one day I'll be back. But don't expect anything from me for a while.
Ty Rex: Deuces.
