Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in the foundation owned Mochdre Limestone Mine and may be free to walk through the lower level caverns while monitored. A collection team is to retrieve SCP-XXXX deposits every 48 hours. SCP-XXXX fragments may be stored in standard mineral shipping containers, maintaining the guise of an operational mine. See Experiment log XXXX-B
SCP-XXXX is to be stored within site XX Extreme Temperature Research Facility, contained in a 0.5m diameter pressurised tank at temperatures excess of 2100°F/1150°C to maintain a constant molten state.
During standard temperature experimentation, testing chambers are to exceed 20mx20m in size with excess storage tanks of a minimum 26,000 gallons/120000 litres available to contain excess fragments from SCP-XXXX, with test duration kept as short as possible.
Due to the exponential nature of an uncontrolled specimism duplicating, and how ineffectual small arms/low yield weapons are on SCP-XXXX, specialist armature capable of generating extreme heat fields (ie. Thermal Amplification Rifles 'TAR' guns, Volatile Incendiary Implosion Explosives 'VII grenades, etc.) are to be kept on site in the event of containment failure to reduce SCP-XXXX to a molten form as quickly as possible.
Description:
SCP-XXXX are pseudo-immobile limestone statues of humanoid appearance approximately 6'1" tall.
While the rock comprising SCP-XXXX is completely static (and in fact, seemingly non-anomalous in nature), SCP-XXXX is able to achieve motion via spontaneous replication of it's form, moving in a staggered stop-motion-like nature. The generation of these states of motion destroys previous states, which proceed to crumble and collapse.
SCP-XXXX appears docile in nature and shows little signs of intelligence. See Incident XXXX-A.
In previous experiments SCP-XXXX has wandered aimlessly inside it's chamber, with no reaction to stimulus.
Concerningly, the 'waste product' produced by SCP-XXXX appears to be produced without limit, so long as SCP-XXXX continues to move. When a space has become entirely filled by SCP-XXXX debris, pressure rises to a critical point.1
SCP-XXXX was discovered by local law enforcement attempting to survey the extent of nearby rockslides which had blocked several roads within the ████████ district area.2
Addendum XXXX-A
SCP-XXXX is capable of spontaneous replication of independant SCP-XXXX instances, and will seek out nearby heat sources, mechanical or biological in nature. See Incident XXXX-A.
