Special Containment Procedures: The region of SCP-6000 has been blocked by Site-68 and all healthy residents have been transferred outside the area with the reason of water pollution. MTF-Eta-40 "Iridium-rich sedimentary rock" is responsible for the containment and manipulation of the item. All suspects of members of the Broken God Church (GoI-004) are to be strictly forbidden to enter the area, and all relevant trespassers are to be executed immediately.

Multiple water treatment facilities are built around the MMMM lake and are continuously processing the purification of water in the lake for the removal of all SCP-6000-1. Small amounts of samples of SCP-6000-1 can be preserved only under specifically authorized conditions for research purposes; In all other circumstances, all samples of SCP-6000-1 are to be destroyed with 68% concentrated nitric acid after enrichment from water.

Completed personal protection measures members should be guaranteed for all individuals participating in the preservation and studies of SCP-6000-1, and contact of SCP-6000-1 with skin should be avoided if possible. If direct contact is considered essential, strict protecting procedures should be considered for mouth, eyes, nose, ears, and wounds to prevent SCP-600-1 from entering the body of the experimenter.

Description: SCP-6000 is an area around the MMMM lake (with the geometric center at XX°N, XX°W) located at XXXXX county, WV, United States. About X towns are included in the area with the number of total permanent residents as XXXX.

Based on the current investigation result, it is confirmed that a major stronghold of the Broken God Church (GoI-004) existed in the area around MMMM lake, but was abandoned before being discovered by the Foundation. Complete investigation towards the residents only found 6 members of GoI-004. Further investigation revealed the potential connection between the place and a previously unknown new branch of GoI-004 (GoI-004D).

The main anomalous property of SCP-6000 embodies as a special electromagnetic field existing in the region covered by the item. The electromagnetic field affects specifically the interaction between different iron atoms, as well as the interaction between iron and sulfur atoms. The result of the anomalous effect is the spontaneous formation of a complicated molecular aggregate SCP-6000-1 which is unstable under general conditions. The structure of SCP-6000-1 is similar to a combination of molecular machines such as molecular motor and molecular bearing, which allows SCP-6000-1 to execute a series of complex functions. Free SCP-6000-1 can undergo further aggregation to form black vesicle-like substances, which still have the tendency of assembling into larger structures, which is more complicated both structurally and functionally.

The item is an area surrounding a lake located at WV, United States. The area was a strongpoint of a mysterious branch of the broken god church (GoI-004D), which differs from the previously known three major branches of mekhanism. The strongpoint had been abandoned since its discovery by the foundation in 2012. A high dose of Akiva radiation was detected in the area, indicating its close relationship with Mekhane.

The anomalous properties of the item embody as the anomalous electromagnetic field exists in this area (which was called by the members of GoI-004D as "Holos Field"), which strongly affects the chemical properties of iron and sulfur, promoting the reaction between these components and resulting in complicated self-assembled aggregates composed of iron-sulfur clusters. The structure of these aggregates is like molecular machines/nanomachines, and they have a strong tendency of assembling further to form greater and more complicated structures. Based on current observation results and testimony from the members of GoI-004D confirmed that the ultimate result of this process would be an entity similar (or can be regarded as) Mekhane.

Members of the broken god church threw a lot of stuff made of iron, such as gears and abandoned machines, to provide the iron needed for the process.

The aggregates invade into other organisms' bodies via wounds, mouth, and nose, etc., and will gradually replace the original iron-sulfur clusters that existed in their proteins (despite they have quite different structures). This process leads to a four-stage symptom for the host: (1) Tendency/preference of ingesting large amounts of iron and sulfur; (2) Decrease in mobility and consciousness/lethargy; (3) Black spike-like structures pierce the surface skin of the host and grow out; (4) Complete destruction of the original tissues of the host.

Addendum I: A brief introduction of the history of how the anomaly was found by the foundation. Some interviewing record about the "weird disease" was included. Some broken god church members were interviewed here, some terms occurred (such as "Holos" and "Holos field"), but the detailed information of GoI-004D itself was not told.
