Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a small, windowless room, with the object itself held up by a winch. The cell is to be cleaned twice weekly by standard janitors. During cleaning, the object must be lifted into a smaller, separate room above the main cell, with a hatch closed beneath it. No personnel except for those with proper authorization are permitted to maintain visual contact with the object at any time. Those who do so without authorization are to be restrained and administered Class-B Amnestics immediately. In the event of a breach, subjects are to be terminated, or told by personnel wearing a valid police uniform: "Get off, you'll hurt yourself." (or a similar response) (See Testing Log 1A and Incident 1A).
Description:

SCP-XXXX is a broken, child-sized bike with pink paint still visible. many parts are missing, with all unpainted surfaces coated in rust. If left alone, the bike and it's surrounding area will become coated in a mixture of oil, blood, and cerebrospinal fluid. Also noted is the creation of plastic and skull fragments, the thickness of which matches that of a young child. No DNA has ever been matched with the blood, fluid, or bone, however these items do not seem to be anomalous in nature.
Prolonged visual contact with SCP-XXXX will cause multiple mental and physical changes to a subject, which will hereby be referred as SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1's breathing and heart rate will speed up to the same average speed as an 8 year old child, and the subject will begin to grin or laugh as they attempt to "ride" the bike, despite a lack of handlebars or usable wheels. SCP-XXXX-1 will carry SCP-XXXX in a riding position (or the closest approximation) to the nearest hill with a slope of above 45 degrees. SCP-XXXX-1 will begin to laugh as they throw themselves down the hill while attempting to maintain a riding position until one of two possible outcomes occurs. the subject will either continue to throw themselves down the hill until their injuries physically stop them from climbing up again, or they are stopped using correct procedure. Testing with cameras and other digital capture technology has revealed that SCP-XXXX's effects do not occur if SCP-XXXX is observed through Pictures, Cameras, Videos, or Artistic Depictions. Further testing has revealed that SCP-XXXX can affect up to 4 normal people at a time. (See Retrieval Log 1A and Incident 1A). However, if a police officer in valid uniform passes by, they will be affected by SCP-XXXX for the sole purpose of telling SCP-XXXX-1 and the subjects possible accomplices (SCP-XXXX-2/3/4), to "stop riding down that hill, it's dangerous". (See Testing Log 1A). This will only work if 4 people are affected by SCP-XXXX, as if someone in normal police uniform sees it without there being 4 people affected, the same effects of seeing SCP-XXXX will occur. There are only two known ways to reverse SCP-XXXX's effects, one is to administer amnestics (See Testing Log 1B), and the other is the police officer procedure (See Testing Log 1A and Incident 1A).
