Special Containment Procedures: Given the nature of SCP-5000 occurrences, containment is functionally impossible at this time. All foundation measures are preventative in nature. The Foundation has set up a bit program to search for instances of SCP-5000 on various social media websites.
Description: SCP-5000 is a two word sentence written on any flat surface, most commonly standard paper. To date 01/01/2020 one copies of SCP-5000 are in Foundation custody. The sentence reads “We Know”, and the individual who receives the message disappears the next time they sleep, with no indication as to who or what took them. No signs of forced entry have been found to date.
SCP-5000 was discovered when a foundation Doctor, Doctor B. Nótt1 , found a note on their desk on 01/01/2020. Upon reading the note, Dr. Nótt reviewed security footage of the area surrounding their office from the time they left to when they arrived that day. Upon realization that no personal left the note, Dr. Nótt returned to their office.
Approximately 70 hours later, the following email was sent from Dr. Nótt to Site Director Bonner:
Hey Bonner, I found this fucking note on my desk. Just says “We Know” I went looking for whoever sent the note and couldn’t find anyone. At that point I was like “shit, who sent me this note.” So I looked deeper into it. Turns out people have been getting these notes for a while now, but here’s the thing: everyone who read the note is missing, I think it may be an anomaly. I’ll come talk to you in your office soon, I need to sleep it’s been three days.

The following is the timeline of events after the email from the now missing Dr. Nótt was sent.
Site Director Bonner receives and reads the email and waits eight hours before heading down to Dr. Nótt’s office.
Bonner knocks on the door, no answer.
Site Director Bonner opens the door Dr. Nótt is nowhere to be seen, but the couch is made into a bed.
Site Director Bonner launches an investigation into the whereabouts of Dr. Nótt.
Search results determined that Dr. Nótt had not left their office.
Upon inspection of Dr. Nótt’s office serval handwritten journals where found in Dr. Nótt’s handwriting.
The journals sent to Foundation 05-9 for translation.
According to Dr. Nótt’s research they discovered that at least four individuals who had received the same SCP-5000. All four of these individuals have been reported missing, the Foundation has since set up a bit program to search for images containing a potential instance of SCP-5000.
