Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a Class B Humanoid Containment Chamber at Site-██. Any personnel reporting abnormal hunger or thirst are to report their condition to Dr. Sandoval. Any personnel confirmed to be under the effect of SCP-XXXX are to be removed from the premises until cessation of the effect, after which they are cleared to return.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an adult female of Guatemalan descent, formerly known as Isabela Garcia de Hernandez. SCP-XXXX exhibits an anomalous ability which prevents others from satiating hunger or thirst. Regardless of the quantity of food or fluids ingested, those affected by SCP-XXXX exhibit increasing signs of starvation and dehydration, as though nothing were consumed. Testing suggests that substances ingested by those under SCP-XXXX's effects disappear in the esophagus, before reaching the stomach.
The effect is tied to SCP-XXXX's emotional state, affecting any organism within a 2km radius towards which SCP-XXXX holds strong negative feelings. SCP-XXXX reports that they are unable to activate the effect at will, but are capable of suppressing it.
Recovery: An adult Guatemalan male by the name of Juan Carlos Velasquez, the first discovered victim of SCP-XXXX's effect, had been previously classified as SCP-XXXX. It was incorrectly understood that his starvation was the result of his own anomalous nature. Following cessation of anomalous effects, he was amnesticized, classified as Neutralized, and returned to his home under the cover story of having received treatment at a foreign medical facility. Foundation surveillance ceased 30 days later.
On 2019/03/23, approximately two months after Velasquez's return, and one month after the cessation of Foundation surveillance, he was declared dead of dehydration. SCP-XXXX was taken into Foundation containment after turning itself in to the local police, claiming responsibility for the death of Velasquez, its husband.
Subsequent investigation and interviews reveal that SCP-XXXX has been aware of its anomalous nature since childhood, but suppressed the effect until 2019/11/17, after learning Velasquez had engaged in an affair with a coworker. SCP-XXXX allowed Velasquez to be deprived of sustenance until he was taken into Foundation custody and removed from its presence, at which point the effect ceased. Upon Velasquez's return, SCP-XXXX refrained from applying the effect again until learning of a newly initiated affair, at which point it prevented Velasquez from obtaining medical assistance, and allowed the effect to operate until Velasquez's expiration.
