Elevator Pitch: A series of anomalous phenomena attack those who watch pirated media.

Summary: Attacks are themed with the media being watched: pirate a spy film, get shot in the back of the head. Watch a schoolgirl anime, they'll sneak into your house and beat you up. Watch The Day After Tomorrow, a freak weather condition of -40 localised to your bedroom occurs.

Investigation into the anomalous phenomena reveals a link to Westhead Media. The GOI's been hired as a consultant on all the media pirated for unstated reasons. Final addendum is an interview with a Westhead representative. Given rising piracy and the failure of traditional methods, studios have looked towards more anomalous methods of defending their profits.

Cast defensive thaumaturgical spells on the films (too deus ex?) to protect them from theft. Queried how they expect it to work when it's only a handful of cases, Westhead respond that it's utilising the morphogenetic field to distribute the correlation of pirating with retribution throughout society. End note: Westfield saying it's not working heavily enough, they might step it up.¹

Description: SCP-XXXX is a series of anomalous deaths linked to the viewing of copyright infringed² media, specifically media produced or distributed by The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries. In all occurrences of the anomaly, the affected³ individual has died whilst watching Disney produced works through illicit methods — most commonly online streaming or downloading. The cause of death appears to be correlated to the media viewed at the time.

SCP-XXXX has been observed globally, with no pattern as to what triggers the anomaly. Foundation testing has been unable to cause the anomaly to occur, even after repeat viewings of the exact website or file linked to an SCP-XXXX instance. The cause of the anomaly is currently unknown; investigations are ongoing (see Addendum 2).

Raiders of the Lost Ark	Lucasfilm Ltd.	A large, spherical boulder, weighing ###, apparated inside of the victim's bedroom and fell, crushing them.
Titanic	20th Century Fox	Victim was found drowned, in an otherwise completely dry room. Salinity analysis of water found in the victim's lungs matched levels found in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame	Walt Disney Feature Animation	Victim experienced sudden onset of severe kyphosis, with their spine twisting rapidly to an abnormal curvature. Whilst the victim survived, resulting nerve damage left them paralysed from the neck down.
The World According to Jeff Goldblum	National Geographic Studios	Victim was found unconscious by their partner after an apparent assault, in which they sustained significant bruising to their face. Whilst the victim could not recall what had occurred, analysis of blood splatter at the scene revealed two distinct samples: that of the victim, and that of Jeff Goldblum himself. Goldblum has a confirmed alibi for the time of the attack, and is not currently considered to be involved in SCP-XXXX.4
127 Hours	Fox Searchlight Pictures	Victim was found dismembered, with their head and limbs severed from their torso. Their limbs had subsequently been divided into smaller components. A bloody Swiss Army knife was found in the centre of the room.

• Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - A billboard manifests outside the house, collapses, crushing the residence. Viewer is only fatality.

Draft 2: Waifu Warriors

Elevator Pitch: SCAM SCAM SCAM. The stars of an online anime TV show scam their biggest fans.

Summary: Anomalous media in the form of a tv show, in which the main characters can converse directly with the viewer. The characters, 3-4 women, use this ability to scam their fans of their hard earned money.

Foundation alerted through numerous posts on fan forum / maybe parawatch enraged at their treatment by the tv show / raging against the characters. Foundation investigate, and send an "undercover" agent to watch online in an attempt to trigger the anomaly (e.g. creating a fake basement-bedroom).

Anomaly is triggered, and the article follows the interactions between the researcher and the anomaly. Interactions start out innocuous - they act surprised at the fact they can interact with the researcher, deny they've spoken to anyone before. They have general conversations etc.

They then ask for the researcher's help in defeating the "darkness"/big bad/villain of the show. This, again, starts innocuous - asking him to chant "The power of love will win!" or something else cheesy, BUT then moves into asking him to buy them bitcoin, give them his social security details, the long number on his credit card, post his passport to an anonymous address. Researcher eventually disregards his undercover identity, confronting them, revealing he's been videotaping their interactions. The characters go back to cutesy personalities, accusing the researcher of being a pervert, denying all the accusations, then "leaving" - ceasing anomalous interaction.
