Close-up of SCP-5699-1 during a 5699-LAMBTON event.
Item #: SCP-5699
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: As the presence of SCP-5699 in the human stomach poses no risk and is undetectable while the host is still alive, containment is instead focused on locating 5699-LAMBTON events after they occur. MTF-Beta-7 ("Maz Hatters") is to destroy SCP-5699-1 growths formed during a 5699-LAMBTON where possible.
Drs. Phoenix and MacWarren are currently in charge of the containment of all SCP-5699-1 entities with Dr. Bold overseeing their termination should the primary containment method be deemed as too unsustainable.
Description: SCP-5699 is a parasitic organism resembling a dark blue flatworm on a superficial level. SCP-5699 manifests within the gastric gland of the human stomach, where it feeds upon gastric acid and gut flora before going dormant. SCP-5699 operates with far quicker agility, allowing it to leap onto the mouths of unsuspecting individuals and forcefully be swallowed by the host. Once inhabiting the body, the affected individual will experience a sudden, brief loss of consciousness before waking up with no memory of the event1.
Event 5699-LAMBTON designates the transformation of SCP-5699 and its host into an instance of SCP-5699-1.
SCP-5699-1 is an amorphous blue humanoid with a height of 2.4 m and a mass that is 2-3 times the size of SCP-5699's initial host. SCP-5699-1 consumes the majority of its host body mass during this time and generates new flesh similar in consistency to the muscularis externa layer of the stomach2. Bodily secretions will usually occur from the orifices in the form of various worms such as annelids (earthworms), nematodes (roundworms), and platyhelminthes (flatworms) which will in turn compose the outer mass of the entity. SCP-5699 is an intelligent being that shows signs of complex problem solving and situational awareness of its environment; allowing it to, upon death, manifest in any human body that is host to an instance of SCP-56993.
SCP-5699 has manifested in approximately 4,800 human stomachs since October 8th, 2019. 5699-LAMBTON analysts have observed that SCP-5699-1 manifests only among adversaries of the Chaos Insurgency. Thus far, no known instances of SCP-5699 have manifested within Foundation personnel. SCP-5699-1 manifests in a singular human at a time. 36 humans have been transformed into SCP-5699-1 instances to date.
Addendum 5699.1 — Discovery: SCP-5699 was discovered during an infiltration on an attack by the Chaos Insurgency. The attack involved a known Chaos Insurgency cell (identified as CI-028 "Kingfisher") and their raid on a lesser known adversarial Group of Interest.
Addendum 5699.2 — Initial Interview: On December 22, 2019, a distress call from the GOC's PSYCHE Division was received by the Foundation requesting immediate support of an SCP-5699-1 instance attacking one of their main barracks. Orders were later sent back, directing the attacking agents to not engage with the entity as the termination would result in a new instance emerging at a random setting. The orders were promptly dismissed as a new instance emerged later inside Site-11's D-Class holding wing before being quickly contained with the rest . The following after-action interview is a transcript of what had occurred in that facility.

Interviewer: Dr. Marcus Null
Interviewed: GOC Agent Alicia "Trident" Jeswyck
[BEGIN LOG]
Dr. Null: Hello Ms. Jeswyck, I am Dr. Michael Null, I'll be your interviewer for today.
Agent Jeswyck: Hi.
Dr. Null: Yes, I think you know what this is for, so could you tell me how your team encountered SCP-5699-1 and how it entered your base?
Agent Jeswyck: Right, the- we were tasked with apprehending and killing the creature when we received word that a small village in Siberia had cut off all contact with the outside world along with a huge parasite infestation after the arrival of an unidentified entity entered the town. Naturally, we responded and we did what we could when we arrived there. We found the creature and we tried our best to kill it but-
Dr. Null: But…?
Agent Jeswyck: Most of our weapons didn't work besides slow it down. Our burners could kill it but, as I'm sure you know…
Dr. Null: Another emerged.
Agent Jeswyck: Yes, most of the townsfolk just hid in their homes. But each time we tried to kill it, it came back in a different body. My team kept getting thrown around and thrashed by this thing. On top of that, we had to kill the worms that kept falling off of it. As if our jobs couldn't get any harder.
Dr. Null: Mhm, right. The report states that you stayed there for nearly two hours trying to kill the being.
Agent Jeswyck: Yes. It kept on running away and hiding around the village's sewage system. Command told us that our mission failed and that they were going to have to glass the place. We couldn't take any chances with the entity, so we figured we could cage it first, send it over to our facility and execute it over there.
Dr. Null: I see. So you- you killed the civilians in the village?
Agent Jeswyck: I- I mean we had to do it. It's not even because of the order, we just- we just can't detect whoever got the worm. We had to do it.
[Silence]
Dr. Null: I'm certain that it was for the best.
Agent Jeswyck: It was supposed to be.
Dr. Null: I- so the reports here states that you brought the entity to one of your facilities for a proper termination. What happened after that- that led to all this.
[blah blah]
Dr. Null: I want to ask you about… KTE-8890-Blackwood Silver?
Agent Jeswyck: You mean the "Writhing Worm Mass"?
Dr. Null: Yes, that.
Agent Jeswyck: I- I don't th
