A middle-aged female low-ranking Foundation employee. She first notices the crack at the original facility, but is largely ignored because of her low-rank. Once the Site is destroyed, she forms a hatred of her superiors for the way that they've treated her and other events which happen over the course of the series. Her character culminates with her choosing to attempt to assassinate Light/Bright/some other important character.

Characters are split into two groups, those traveling between past realities and those continuing to research how to shut the breach. This secondary group could experience first hand the challenges of navigating the political maze of the current Rez foundation. Tale - Overture: - Redredred POSTED
An independent tale about a single woman going through her everyday life at the Foundation. She's low-ranking, unimportant, and does menial tasks like organizing system files. The tale repeats several times, coinciding with CK-Class Restructuring Events caused by the Bloom. Over time, the atmosphere gets darker and darker, represented by a flower at her desk which slowly willows over time before dying in the last iteration. This tale is meant to be a teaser, giving the reader a taste of the themes to come.

Tale – I: We are introduced to many characters. - Nagiros POSTED

  • LIGHT
    • Light arrives home to discover who she believes is O5-10's Factorum, but is in reality a distraught O5-10. Ten hasn't taken her near-death well, but it's given her the perspective to focus on the bigger picture: fixing the broken timeline.
    • Ten gives Light a classified run-down of Yellowstone's purpose, past and present, and tells her about the Thorn, and the recurring issue of histories/concepts disappearing around Yellowstone, indicating that soon Yellowstone itself might disappear entirely.
    • Ten tells Light to fix the problem. When Light asks for some advice on how she possibly can, Tell refuses to answer and leaves. Light is left to do the only thing she really can as A-9's director: assemble an emergency sub-team.
  • DENEB
    • Carlotta has been evading Light's calls, messages, and emails by filtering them through an AIC. Eventually, she grabs Lurk to show her where the AIC's server is hosted; Lurk reveals that Carlotta has manipulated the AIC's internal ethics system to assume that Light means her harm, and that it was only protecting her. Light resets it, finds Carlotta's address, and Carlotta receives a letter on her doorstep inviting her to A-9.

  • 5310
    • Light receives an email from Irving Gat proclaiming his "probable" intent to join A-9 as a human consultant. Light obliges.
  • 4051
    • Rainer is in a hospital bed at Site-17 after an unknown incident, comatose. Yesenia stands by him and informs Light about how Foundation higher-ups have gotten in the habit of awakening him, using his ability for whatever purpose, and then putting him back in a coma.
    • Light does the same, but with no intent of putting him back under.
  • ECKHART
    • Light enters Allison Eckhart's containment cell. Immediately regrets it and scraps the idea.
  • 5601
    • [Uncertain.]
  • SALT
    • Light meets privately with O5-10's Factorum, who reveals that there is likely a mole active on the team or on-site, based on chatter from GOIs. Light resolves to solve that problem too.
  • Then, the first major reality shift happens. Tens of SCPs are gone. They haven't escaped, there's no damage to their containment cells. They just vanished. Also, there is a major “breach” or crack in reality, somewhere in the base. [we should endeavor to describe]

Tale – II: We meet the two main characters + 1360: -Grigori POSTED

  • Deneb and Lucretia arrive at Yellowstone
    • Carlotta Deneb, an investigator of anomalous events, and Lucretia Popescu, a Sarkic SCP who is currently contained on site.
      • Carlotta has only been with the Foundation for a little while, but believes she can do more good here than with the UIU (UIU incompetent tropes, etc)
      • 1360 is withdrawn, seemingly inhuman… but also sad, it has been abandoned by its creator, and so wants some purpose
      • Lucretia grew up in Sarkic cult fighting pits, she has been in containment for a few years. She is cynical and is bored, wants more activity. Leaps at the chance to do something productive. It is revealed that she was previously dismissed as a possibility due to Iris and Clef harboring suspicions on Sarkics.
      • SCP-4494 - throwing this in so I remember.
  • All three start to experience anomalous events as the former investigates the containment cells and the latter two lives their normal life in containment.

Tale – III: . Officially building the team- Calibri_Bold POSTED

  • Light officially recruits Carlotta, Lucretia, 4051, and 1360 into an ad hoc Alpha-9 squad.

Tale - IV: Light and the mole (Pt. 1) - Grigori POSTED

  • Light is determined to discover the identity of the mole, playing a game of "cat and mouse" with it across the site.
  • The site's director is introduced, seemingly aggressive and obstructive throughout. He seriously opposes sending Carlotta, Lucretia, 1360, and 4051 armed with 2719 deeper into the facility.
  • Light zeros in on the mole, much to the chagrin of the director. By the end, she's identified the insurgent.
  • Light's security clearance revoked, locked in her office with Vaux
  • Teammates get to know each other, scene with Carlotta/Lucretia and 1360, then Rainer/4494, then Carlotta/Lucretia again
  • Turns out the security clearance was not properly revoked, this was a fake out by the mole… confirming to O5-10 and Light that there is a mole.

Tale - IV.5 - Grigori - Light and the mole (Pt. 2) POSTED

  • Light, Carlotta and Lucretia interrogate their suspect… this goes wrong and he escapes into facility
  • the three give chase and end up in a trap in the containment sector while the mole tries to escape the facility through the maintenance tunnels
  • Standoff between Light, Lucretia, Carlotta and 4494 outside the base versus a suped up mole, powered with cognitohazardous speech and concussive/light/aural powers. Mole dies.

Tale – V: Investigation (Pt. 1) - Redredred POSTED

  • Follows the main team investigating the underside of Yellowstone. Here, we learn a little bit more about what's happening as each member experiences reality shifts that bring them into alternate timelines.
    • focus on each's motivations for being part of this new group. Can show them interacting more.
    • Light hunts down the mole, but they are killed by a new team in a tense chase sequence through Site-θ. Light thinks this is the mole, another sabotage happens within the area the team is investigating, and Light realizes that the mole has to be one of them.

Tale - VI: Bottom Floor - Grigori POSTED

  • Lucretia and Rainer and 1360 are together in the underbelly of the site, experiencing significant deviations from reality… the facility has "attacked" them and separated the rest of the group.
  • 1360 leaves the group after Lucretia acuses it of trying to sabotage the mission
  • Dr. Irving Gat is introduced and spends the episode with Light in the operations room, carlotta is also there.
  • Light eventually she pushes too far (trying to utilize SRAs to contain the anomaly) and the Thorn pushes back, causing dozens of SCPs to vanish all at once. Lucretia/Rainer is cut off from communication, trapped in an area where reality is constantly shifting, and is apparently being hunted by 1360 who realizes that it has been found out (Lucretia only hallucinates that 1360 is hunting her; she doesn't realize 1360 is the mole).
  • Eventually, Lucretia discovers SCP-4867 still exists and finds that it negates the reality warping effects, including the fake 1360 hunting her and Rainer (big fight/chase sequence ends in 4867's containment chamber)
  • Carlotta decides to go in after her team, and is issues a prototype portable SRA so she can reduce the reality warping around her… she finds the remains of 5601, and also finds a very injured 4494.
  • At the climax, Lucretia/Rainer encounter 1360 in the room where the Thorn is located and all three are drawn into the anomaly.

Tale – VII: Investigation (Pt. 2) Calibri_Bold POSTED

  • 1360 suddenly begins acting friendly to Lucretia. It realizes that Lucretia doesn't know that it has been outed, so its trying to build trust. Lucretia is hesitant due to the hallucinations she suffered, but she accepts him.
  • A nightmare scenario occurs as the world begins to dramatically shift. Each shift causes Lucretia to experience more and more emotional distress, while 1360 grows more and more menacing.
  • Thorn like a black hole. The closer one gets to it, the more of a "grasp" it has over reality, including them. Lucretia and 1360 are dangerously close to the Thorn, so it has almost complete control over them. Therefore, they can't really escape since reality would just be twisted around so that they could never leave.3
  • Meanwhile, Light is convinced 1360 is the mole but doesn’t know how to tell the team (as they are lost in the breach. —> show light desperately trying to get message to them, with help of technicians monitoring the breach)
  • Lucretia witnesses the Thorn (this is the scene with the world-sized planet eater thing)
  • Technicians manage to bring communication back online and inform Lucretia that 1360 is the mole. Here is the standoff between Carlotta and 1360. Lucretia and 1360 argue, where 1360 reveals that it doesn't have the ability to understand or communicate why it sabotaged the Site.
  • Throw in some more contention from our Site-Theta director, "I told you so!" etc
  • Finally, at the climax, Lucretia through some wild bombastic action. retrieves SCP-4867 (establish this in Tale-V as an anomaly that didn't vanish; so this is an alternative version… but is also tied to universal core) which is unchanged by the shifting realities.

Tale – VIII: Climax/Epilogue - Grigori

  • Director Avery argues with Light that they need to try to shut down the breach; Light resist as our team is still unaccounted for and she has no idea how to shut down a breach like this. Light promises that if she cannot retrieve the team and shut the Breach within 5 hours (can be less time to make sense), she will evacuate the site and activate the on-site nuke (or other drastic action)
  • Climax: tense back and forth of Lucretia (whole team?//) traveling through various realities/instances of previous iterations (using 4867 to home in on the prime reality) and a countdown of time remaining.
  • Explosion of light and color (just a place holder for __ imagery) Lucretia strikes the breach with 4867 (as she had discovered in previous tale it can affect the shifting realities) which closes the breach. Team re-enters the scene in a stunning bombastic fashion… just moments to go before Light would have called the evacuation.
  • The series winds down as Lucretia and Carlotta talk with Light to discuss their experiences.
  • Lucretia argues that the things she's seen make her believe that there is no hope in the universe [comparing Foundation to her experiences with the Black Lodge]. Both Carlotta and Light fail to convince her to find hope, as they simply have not experienced the same things that she has.
  • O5-10 reveals two things: the Foundation knew about the existence of the Thorn beforehand, and that SCP-4867 kind of fractured the Thorn underneath Yellowstone. Since the Foundation used an anomaly instead of waiting to use a more advanced reality-stabilizer, more reports of altered reality popped up all around the world. But O5-10 states that they have hope that they will be able to understand it/prevent further breaches.
  • Lucretia expresses doubt at this, which O5-10 responds to by saying that they have contained unkillable lizards, mind-ending phenomena, and saved the world thousands of times. The tale ends on a hopeful note. “You closed this breach; we can close the next if there is one.” or whatever…
