This is the collection for skips we find to write about but is also a test

To just iterate what was said in IRC: These are going to be about essays that concern the containment of Keter/Euclid SCPs and to revise that containment based off how the SCPs have shown to hunt or hurt people during tests or containment breaches. We should try to find skips that are less popular

We could create a hub to hold different documents, with each document being an analysis of an individual skip with 3 goals in mind:

  • Preventing breaches through more pleasing containment
  • Improved tracking of entities post-breach
  • Reducing casualties by redirecting or baiting entities during re-containment

Questions: What character(s)/group(s) are examining these SCPs? What are there reasons for it?
Perhaps its just one researcher, maybe two. They feel that the containment for these entities is unstable at best, and wishes to redefine their protocols, so they go out and writes up these proposed experiments. Some of them get approved, some of them don't. The ones that may be successful, but also have some ones that fail. or something like that, I don't know all the details yet.

Answer: I'm thinking researchers, probs a couple cause it's good to have your stuff peer reviewed. A biologist and someone who studies something less mundane would be good. That way we get their down to earth ideology; and anomalous experience both in one group. I'm thinking that it's an effort to ground the skips in reality for the biologist and for the other it's to help protect people? Protecting people is the goal for both of course.

Intro paragraph (In character): We make tremendous efforts to contain SCP entities. We spend vast sums of money every year on individual containment procedures for keter-class beings. Many of these are biological in nature, and appear reminiscent of non-anomalous predators. After conducting research on the issue, and compiling research from other departments, we believe we can enhance security protocols, reduce casualties from containment breaches, and reduce costs all in one stroke.

(Meme_man's note: This intro needs work, I think some of my wording is a bit awkward, but I am doing my best to make this seem like an effective intro paragraph. We are trying to convince higher-ups to accept these containment procedures, so the use of pathos, logos, and ethos are probably allowed.

Solari's note: I fixed grammatical issues and changed the wording to make it less awkward, by the time you've read this I've also run it through the guys at IRC)

Series name idea: Predation and Containment - A Dissertation on Comparative Biology and Behaviors in Anomalous Beasts of Prey.

Skips that can work:
SCP-1447
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1447
Brief: Two parts, this really fast monk dude who wants to kill the guy who created him, and the guy who created him.

SCP-4975
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-4975
Brief: Tall long bird thing, makes ticking noise, can hunt without leaving its cell.
Containment re-proposal: Provide very ill d-class to be within proximity of the SCP. This will result in less civilian causalities
How: We examine multiple cases of terminally ill persons and see if the entity goes after them.

SCP-2421
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-2421
Brief: Weird underground oval creature, sucks up into a lake, but only sucks in humans. Maybe has seagulls in its belly.
Containment re-proposal: Create a network of tunnels that surround the object, isolating it. Also, find out what's inside the creature.
How: Mine and excavate the area around the creature, and throw some d-class with cameras connected to the internet, and see what inside.

SCP-906
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-906
Brief: Mass of worms that form a humanoid, has corrosive abilities, like to eat humans. (NOTE: Not super unique, but is unknown enough to be fun. Its honestly is just another "scary monster that eats humans"

SCP-75
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-075
Brief: Snail, but also claw hand. If it's dry, it's angry, fast and tries to kill people. Its also has really powerful corrosives, as everything does.

SCP-668
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-688
Brief: A type of Chestnut Lamprey, it can go on land. It eats anything organic that goes into its mouth and fits into dark holes. If exposed to light, it retreats into a pocket dimension by "eating" itself.

SCP-1568
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1568
Brief: A huge hermit crab, it uses fishing boats as a shell, and will eat any fish found in fishnets that are cast over the side of it. If that doesn't happen, it will capsize and eat the humans that fall out.
Containment re-proposal: Re-Locate to a large fish tank, preferable to some nearby site. Provide "shells" when the subject leaves his current one.
How: Sealed shipping container, make a deal with one of those boat manufactures.

SCP-844
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-844
Brief: Flesh and bone mound, likes to eat children, but is classified as "safe" (NOTE: This one could have real potential, as it's containment procedures are lacking in anything that extensive. Also, I don't know why it's safe, but that is something that we can bring up in the document for it)
