MISSION BRIEFING: PROJECT DIASPORA

It should come as no surprise to you or any other Level 4 personnel that the Foundation can no longer depend upon arguably our most vital Thaumiel-class anomaly: SCP-2000. SCP-2000 appears to be unusable following a malfunction after a bomb exploded inside. The nature of this bomb is potentially anomalous, but that cannot as of yet be confirmed.

The O5 Council has approved you, Dr. Angela Williams and Dr. Alto Clef as the leading task force for Project Diaspora. Project Diaspora is a mission to create a suitable alternative plan to protect humanity in the event of any future K-Class scenarios.

Human technology, anomalous technology, and all other resources available to the Foundation are incapable of repairing SCP-2000. As such, Project Diaspora's primary goal, as approved by O5 Command, is as follows:

Creating a fully self-sufficient human population center inside an extradimensional space currently controlled by the Foundation.

After much debate, O5 command has come to the conclusion that the best anomaly for human habitation at the moment is SCP-3008. While this may come as a surprise to you, SCP-3008 is not an unsafe environment for properly armed exploration teams. The primary anomalous effect, inability to exit the anomaly, is of no concern in any situation for which Project Diaspora seeks to accommodate.

SCP-3008's second anomalous effect, the "staff", will be greatly susceptible to foundation weaponry and resources.

Other anomalies have certainly been considered.
