Item #: SCP-4XXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in ((a standard humanoid cell, furnished with a bed and a desk)). Handling personnel must provide SCP-XXXX with ((plenty)) of paper sheets and pencils ((// paper sheets and pencils are to be provided in exchange for ((compliant)) behavior)). The sheets of paper are to be retrieved ((every two weeks)) by at least three ((level 2 personnel with high mental resistance)). All subjects being used for experimentation with SCP-XXXX are to also be provided with paper sheets and pencils. ((/X/ These are to be retrieved applying the same procedure as with SCP-XXXX.))
No other ((cell/room)) is to be built or used within a ((15-meter)) radius around SCP-XXXX's cell.
SCP-XXXX's cell can only be accessed through a pathway of 10 m x 2 m x 2 m, with a door every two (2) meters, creating five (5) individual 2 m x 2 m x 2 m cubicles where tests will be run.

After incident 4052-C on ((██/██/████)), ((test subjects must only be D class personnel.))

It is required that all personnel working directly with SCP-XXXX ((have passed the ███████ test)) in order to certify a sufficient level of ((mental resistance)). Additionally, personnel working with or near SCP-XXXX are to be ((checked)) once every month to ensure that its effects ((do not go higher than the second stage)).

In the eventuality of a level 3 or higher personnel falling under SCP-XXXX's effects, class C amnestics are to be administrated. After 48 hours, ((the subject will be available to do further testing with either SCP-XXXX or other SCPs)).
((In case of a level 3 or higher member of personnel falls under SCP-4052's effects, they may visit SCP-999 for a period of up to 5 minutes depending on the severity of the symptoms, with authorization from the Site administrator)).

((/?/ In case of a containment breach, SCP-XXXX must try to be reasoned with. If SCP-XXXX remains unresponsive, task force Eta-10 will be dispatched with orders to make use of tranquilizer darts or threaten to use lethal force, if neither of them causes a response, SCP-XXXX is to be terminated.))

Description: SCP-4XXX is a humanoid creature, 2m 30cm in height, 80 kg in weight, and with a completely featureless head. 4XXX's extremities are extremely long, about twice the expected size of a normal human being of 4XXX's height.

^We really need a redesign.

SCP-XXXX has not shown a necessity to eat and will refuse any food offered. It has, however, been observed to follow an erratic "sleeping pattern", in which it will enter a state of catatonia for approximately two to twenty hours daily.

((Based on interviews)), SCP-XXXX was formerly an unidentified human male. According to the subject itself, the mutation that resulted in SCP-XXXX was artificial, and caused by “Arthur Goodwin”, a possible P.o.I. Further interrogation about SCP-XXXX’s past or origin have resulted in unresponsiveness and refusal to cooperate.

Direct exposure to SCP-4XXX……..

SCP-4XXX's effects have been observed to develop gradually, being able to be separated into five (5) stages:

Upon initial exposure to SCP-4XXX, subjects have reported a general feeling of uneasiness, as well as the need to get away from SCP-4XXX, who will urge the subject to stay. Dizziness and fatigue has also been observed.

2. ((Big doubts ("Should I be here?", "what brought me here?" kind of stuff, existencialism)

3. ((Doubts intensify, guilt gets more intense ("I have done so many bad things", "I deserve to be punished") ))

4. The subject will begin to manifest suicidal thoughts and tendencies, as well as nervous breakdowns ((replace term/effect))

5. The final stage seems to vary depending on the subject, although no pattern has been found yet. The majority resort to committing suicide by any means available………. or they'll have a complete breakdown, entering a sort of vegetative state

((Usually the drawings start appearing in stage 2 or 3, to "get rid of boredom" or "get the mind off that stuff"
They start getting darker with the stages, highly realistic if the person is capable. Pencil has been used by subjects to commit suicide, so it must be handled with care, and subjects must always be monitored during the experiments.))

Addendum 4XXX.1: Discovery
SCP-4XXX was found living in a forest near a small town in ██████, Nevada. The locals had deemed the forest as “haunted” after several disappearances linked with it. The forest in itself came to the attention of a field agent, who called field forces in order to investigate.

(Consider interview. First-hand experience)

According to Agent █████, as they entered the area, a feeling of uneasiness started to affect the entirety of the unit, and continued worsening to the point of some agents expressing doubt of their own capabilities, thus fearing to proceed. Upon advancing further into the center of the forest, the uneasiness began to morph into hatred, both towards themselves and other agents of the unit. This led to a shootout resulting in ██ casualties and one allegedly missing agent whose corpse was later found and retrieved. Due to the unit being far enough into the forest and away from the town, no civilians were alerted by the shots.

A second incursion into the forest was approved, this time with highly mentally resistant agents. The unit found SCP-4XXX near a cave in the depths of the forest, and after being threatened, agreed to come into the foundation’s custody.

Interviewed: SCP-4XXX

Interviewer: Dr. Carter

Foreword?: Due to SCP-4XXX’s incapability to talk, D-█████ was assigned to act as an intermediary between it and the researcher

Tests (just so I don't forget)

A>Regular initial testing via class-D personnel, enters stage 5, death

B>Other D-class, no belongings except pen and paper, suicide by pen

C>Lvl 2 guy ends up in there bcuz he's too cocky, gets controlled, opens up cell with his keycard, breach (he's terminated and security is reinforced in doors, better locks pheraps?)

D>Test made at night (add interview with 4XXX to explain why), D-class is interviewed halfway through, explains that he's deteriorating way faster, after interview is sent back to experiment, enters vegetative state, is still like that)
