Welcome to the RAISA Review Team Hub!
RAISA Review Team is an open IRC channel where members of the SCP Wiki meet to discuss posted articles and offer critique, similar to a book club. Feel free to join a discussion on SynIRC at #raisareviewteam!
RAISA Notice
As of August 14th, 2020, RAISA Review Team has concluded scheduling new discussions on #raisareviewteam until further notice. The channel will still be up for new people to join, however, and general, unscheduled discussion is allowed. Just follow the rules, okay? <3
I'd like to give a sincere thanks to everyone who has joined during any of our 81 logged meetings, including but not limited to:
redredred, who has helped immensely in scheduling, setting up, leading, and picking out multiple articles for our many RAISA discussions. Without their hard work, RRT wouldn't be half of what it was.
gee0765 and
Calibri Bold for being wonderful ops and for taking the time to participate (and occasionally, moderate) in our many events.
cybersqyd,
BlueJones,
MalyceGraves, and a number of other folks for actively partaking in our discussion and for carrying the conversation forward for all these months.
Once again, I appreciate all of you for coming. It's been a real fun one and I hope it was fun for you, too. Y'all've been nothing but stellar.
Until next time, folks. Take care.
Rules
All #site19 rules still apply in #raisareviewteam. You can access the rules here, but you should know them already.
With that out of the way, let's get to the more specific rules.
- Nothing in an established series. The reason this is a rule is so that we can have an equal understanding of the background of an article. If we do choose to discuss something in an established series, we will read the entire series.
- Nothing below +10. This guarantees that the quality of articles at least reaches a forum minimum. There's not much point in reading something that's going to be deleted the next day.
- Nothing younger than 1 week. A fledgling article can be really affected by 10 or so votes, and we aren't here to control the fates of articles, so we're gonna leave newer articles to the side for now.
- State in advance if an article is long. We should have enough time to read through an article before discussing it, and if necessary, we can choose to continue discussion at another time.
- State if you're going to comment. If all of us comment at once, it's going to become spam, so please state that you're going to be posting a comment. Additionally, this allows us to differentiate your comment from the collective views of other members of RAISA Review Team.
