Associated Groups of Interest: Are We Cool Yet?

Site of Operation(s): Australia, Canada, and the United States of America

Profile: Person of Interest XXXX/07 is a Caucasian, Australian male known for manifesting during public protests related to animal and/or environmental conservation. PoI XXXX/07 often manifests donning related clothing which conceals identifying features, usually full-body mascot suits.

PoI XXXX/07 possesses moderate thaumaturgic abilities allowing for instantaneous or near-instantaneous travel across large distances as well as Class-III voluntary manifestation capabilities (See Associated Incident XXXX/07) (Update 15/06/2019; See Addendum XXXX/07.1). It is currently believed that PoI XXXX/07 utilizes these abilities to acquire and transport exotic and often endangered species of animal for the purposes of spreading political messages.

Numerous anomalous events with connections to artistic and conservationist Groups of Interest have been attributed to PoI XXXX/07, whether through circumstantial evidence or their own claims. However, due to PoI XXXX/07’s elusive and often melodramatic nature, verifying these claims has proven to be exceedingly difficult.

19/11/2018

Perth, Australia

A spike in fatalities resulting from animal attacks led local police to recover and subsequently euthanize one Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis), a near-extinct species found exclusively in northern China. The official police report noted that the words “i am not safe [sic]” was written in bright-pink spray paint on the leopard’s pelt.

Manhattan, United States of America

During a public protest, fourteen Hawaiian monk seals (Neomonachus schauinslandi) spontaneously manifested, resulting in two injuries. Officials only managed to recover eight of the seals. Several eyewitness reports claimed that a male individual shouted the phrase “They’ll be safe now” several seconds prior to manifestation.

Southern Ontario, Canada

For three minutes and eleven seconds, the broadcast signals of several news stations located in the Southern Ontario region were hijacked and replaced with footage from the 2015 activist film “Racing Extinction” along with the text “We are not safe”. Several days prior to the event, the CFO of the affected news stations publicly endorsed a conservative politician who was criticized for accepting campaign funds from various whaling companies.
06/05/2019

Queensland, Australia

At “Furry Down Under 2019”, a convention for members of the furry fandom, two Black rhinos (Diceros bicornis) manifested in the main meeting area. Witnesses reported that the rhinos remained docile before eventually demanifesting. Following demanifestation, an unmarked business card with the printed text “We are safe here” was recovered.
15/06/2019

Hobart, Australia

A broadcast of security camera footage showing thirty-three Tasmanian tigers (Thylacine) destroying the remains of the now-closed Hobart Zoo appeared on various popular live-streaming platforms. Occasionally, the text “Are We Safe Yet?” was displayed. Foundation personnel traced the signal to the home of Thomas Rickard, an environmental activist and artist. The subject was detained and transferred to a local police station (See Addendum XXXX/07.1).
