Where we are now:
- Alpha-9 activates.
- Division Three, Bowe's children, are hiding holes in the world and are stealing anomalies to build an Olympian army.
- The Chaos Insurgency takes an active interest in Alpha-9, driven by one or more ex-O5s. The Insurgency leadership has a plan to become God, or something like it — make an all-powerful neo-Foundation that can directly control reality/normalcy. They start secretly backing Division Three with this goal in mind.
Here's what I plan to write, except where noted:
one
- Yesterday — POSTED
- Calm — A bunch of conversation with & about Alpha-9. Calm Credits — POSTED
- MTF Alpha-9 Dossier — Waiting in line to be revised and posted (Mann has suggestions)
- Nadezhda — (Tab 2) Dmitri Strelnikov is brought out of retirement, kicking and screaming.
- Thunder — Alpha-9 gets a new Able. One of Bowe's children / Division Three debuts. [No longer sure this is next in line]
- Lightning (WIP) — The Insurgency attacks Site-19, targeting Alpha-9 and providing cover for Bowe's children to make their moves. Intro's SCP-239, the Black Queen, and the Insurgency leadership. Style in numerous short chapters with 1-3 scenes each. This storyline will be moved. This is replaced with a heist story in which Division 3 steals an army of Olympia clones (planned by Clef).
- Welcome to the Foundation — Complete draft, will be rewritten.
- Welcome to the Insurgency — Complete draft, needs revisions.
- (Originally planned by Clef, Dexanote, Lurk, and LordDeath) The Call From Inside The House: Tav-666/Lambda-2 discovers Division Three.
two
- (Originally planned by Clef) Protection: Alpha-9 stumbles into a near-forgotten part of the anomalous world and captures a unicorn, starting a war w/ the GOC.
- (Originally planned by Clef) Fight Like A Girl Alpha-9 vs GOC Strike Team.
- Alpha-9 vs Fairies? (Guarding unicorn)
- (Originally planned by Clef) The Armies of Olympus Division Three.
(Clef's original plan) Adams discovers that she is Olympia.
(Original plan) Foundation & GOC make nice and join forces to beat Division Three.
Division Three's secret is that there's a Great Unknown plowing through reality, a nameless thing that can't be comprehended or stopped. When it takes over realities, it changes them to a representation of what the About The SCP Foundation was afraid of. Incomprehensible darkness where no sapient being has any power to fully understand their world. (Moose plans a story exploring this.)
(Most likely) The Chaos Insurgency leadership wants to harness this Great Unknown, and have been backing up Division Three as part of their plan to understand it.
This is also the reason reality has previously been rebooted using the Bloom (now the Thorn), and is the secret behind Incident Zero. Cain & Able shared motivation is stopping this thing.
(What does the Thorn do? Up in the air, but what we DO know is that it currently can't be used to reboot reality anymore.)
Alpha-9 goes to the Wanderers' Library. [Figure out how they're allowed in. An end of the world exception? MTF Sigma-3/Moose arranges something?] Iris (and others? Adams?) shown visions of the Foundation's secrets, notably terrible things done by the Foundation (like SCP-4000, the fairy genocide).
three
Alpha-9 shutdown is ordered (possibly because some O5s are disappeared or dead? see notes). Iris disillusioned with Foundation & the monstrous acts it carries out.
Led by Iris, Alpha-9 goes on the run from the Foundation, with Cain, and eventually Able. Cain and Able confrontation. (Possibly, may be changed)
[ UPDATE 2021 The Insurgency aims to complete their plan to become God by trying to harness the Great Unknown, attacking Site-19 to get the final piece. Story mirror of "Immediate Actions". This leads into… ]
Everyone finally joins forces (including with GOC/Hand) to stop the Great Unknown, which they do by forcing a perception shift: they name it. They make it into a Dragon, and Alpha-9/Able is really good at fighting Dragons. They are ultimately able to turn it into a tiny, easily containable being. A Named Known, contained by being perceived as beatable and ultimately harmless.
(Clef's original plan) Adams comes to terms with being Olympia.
Iris comes to the conclusion that even though the Foundation may be oppressive, they can be changed, and rejoins of her own free will. Since she's saved O5s, she's reinstated to good standing, and leads Alpha-9.
This concludes the original planned arc for Resurrection.
