Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: A research facility has been constructed at the site of SCP-XXXX, around which a perimeter approximately 1km in diameter is to be kept under constant surveillance by security personnel. SCP-XXXX is housed within a 100m x 100m x 30m-tall rectangular structure with two 8cm-thick steel blast doors at the north and west ends. The interior of all four walls, as well as the ceiling, have been lined with reactive armor plating to prevent supersonic projectiles from exiting the structure.
Thirty-six D-Class personnel, designated D-XXXX-1 through D-XXXX-36, are to be kept on-site at all times. D-XXXX personnel are to be be regularly administered performance-enhancing steroids, and must continually undergo a rigorous physical training regimen to ensure peak physical fitness. Twice a week, eighteen D-XXXX personnel are randomly selected to participate in a game of baseball at a training field that has been constructed on-site. Members of D-XXXX not actively assigned to these games are assigned to SCP-XXXX to conduct routine maintenance and upkeep of the field.
During a manifestation of SCP-XXXX-1, nine D-XXXX personnel are selected to take positions within SCP-XXXX corresponding with those of the home team at the start of a baseball game. This team is referred to as D-XXXX-A. Roles are assigned as follows:
- D-XXXX-A-1: Pitcher
- D-XXXX-A-2: Catcher
- D-XXXX-A-3: First Base
- D-XXXX-A-4: Second Base
- D-XXXX-A-5: Third Base
- D-XXXX-A-6: Shortstop
- D-XXXX-A-7: Left Field
- D-XXXX-A-8: Center Field
- D-XXXX-A-9: Right Field
Eight additional D-XXXX personnel are selected to assume the role of the visiting team, hereby referred to as D-XXXX-B. Members of D-XXXX-B are assigned a batting lineup and instructed to wait in their corresponding dugout for the game to begin. When SCP-XXXX-1 is observed to have assumed a ready position near home plate, D-XXXX personnel are instructed to commence playing baseball.
At the bottom of each inning, members of D-XXXX-B are assigned roles similar to those of D-XXXX-A, with the exception of the pitcher, as this role is always assumed by SCP-XXXX-1. D-XXXX personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX at this time are not permitted to leave SCP-XXXX for any reason until completion of the game. Additional D-XXXX personnel are to be kept on standby to replace active players should any casualties occur during the course of the game.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a Little League Baseball field located in ██████ County, Nebraska. Originally constructed in 19██, the field was used a total of six times for Little League games before being seized by the Foundation later that year. SCP-XXXX appears to possess no anomalous properties other than the periodic manifestation of SCP-XXXX-1 within its spacial boundaries, occurring approximately once every 4 - 6 months. No records exist of SCP-XXXX-1 appearing prior to the construction of SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a rotting corpse of a man in a ####### uniform (circa 192#) with extensive cybernetic augmentations including:
- replacement of both legs and one arm with long, multi-jointed appendages ending in three-to-eight fingered "hands"
- Extra limbs (as described above) attached to right shoulder, tailbone, and side near left kidney
- Neck and spinal column replaced with thick, wiry metallic pieces including extended neck
- Organic eyes replaced with red glowy ones
One of SCP-X-1's limbs is much larger than the rest and seems to be devoted entirely to hitting balls. Another has a webbing-like structure between the "fingers", and functions as a catcher's mitt.
SCP-X-1 is capable of moving at speeds in excess of ##mph, hitting balls in excess of ####mph, and lifting over ####lbs with minimal effort.
SCP-X-1 will, upon manifesting, take its place at home plate and pull a baseball bat out of (somewhere). It will stay there for a while, getting more and more agitated if no one plays baseball with it. If it's left like this long enough, it will become enraged and start killing everyone. Other actions known to enrage it include:
-trying to leave the field during a game
-any attempt to subvert the rules of baseball (note that it follows rules from the '20s, so everyone must know these)
-Any attempt to speed the game along. It somehow knows if the players are not using maximum effort, and will kill those people very messily
- any attempt to touch it, talk to it, or do anything that interferes with the baseball game (it won't kill everyone, just the poor fucker who got close)
It doesn't always hit that hard or move that fast, just when he's pissed. There are still occasional times when it's just kind of pissy and plays hard enough to kill some people
