Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Personnel with a Cognitive Resistance Value (CRV) of lower than 12.2 are not to be assigned to the SCP-XXXX project. A guardrail is to be erected around SCP-XXXX's ledge as an additional safety measure.
Description: SCP-XXXX is sinkhole with a diameter of 2.1 meters, located in an apartment in Ojai, California. SCP-XXXX does not obey spacetime laws: While no bottom to SCP-XXXX has been detected, the apartment directly under SCP-XXXX appears unaffected.
SCP-XXXX is a naturally occurring instance of a "conceptual warp". Concepts exposed to SCP-XXXX physically or conceptually will lose definition, changing the concept or blending it with others. This effect has been most evident on concepts relating to identity. Currently, the concept of SCP-XXXX is identical/synonymous to the concept of Julia Marquez, the former resident of the apartment.
Discovery: SCP-XXXX was first discovered by Ms. Marquez's significant other, Researcher Jimena Moreno. Due to SCP-XXXX's cognitive effect, Moreno was initially unaware of Marquez's disappearance and the anomaly went unnoticed for four days. It was brought to Foundation attention when Moreno exhibited increased symptoms of fatigue and loss of productivity on other assigned projects. When approached, she mentioned that she had been taking care of her bedridden girlfriend during this time.
Researcher Moreno has been separated from SCP-XXXX, as well as restricted from access to its documentation.
Addendum:
Test Log 01:
| Input | Outcome |
|---|---|
| A simple leather stool, accidentally knocked into SCP-XXXX during initial containment. | SCP-XXXX and the concept of minimalist sculpture were blended, causing containment specialists to be unable to perceive SCP-XXXX as anything other than a sculptural installation. Other than minor analysis of the artistic implications of SCP-XXXX, very little work towards containment was completed until the separation of the concepts two weeks later. |
| A conceptual cognitopoison was broadcast into SCP-XXXX in an attempt to neutralize the anomaly and all affected concepts. | SCP-XXXX integrated the cognitopoison, expanding its area of effect to 2km around the containment site. Foundation inoculation memes were sufficient to prevent civilian casualties. After approximately 26 hours, the cognitopoison was distorted to the point of nonfunction. |
| Containment of SCP-XXXX, introduced during the installation of the guardrail surrounding SCP-XXXX. | The concept ceased to exist. Testing and containment of SCP-XXXX halted for 5 days and 15 hours until the concept resumed function. It is unknown whether or not this incident is SCP-XXXX defending itself. Further testing is required to come to a suitable conclusion. |
| Level 4 security clearance, introduced after an unassigned Foundation Level 4 clearance card was added into SCP-XXXX. | [INSUFFICIENT CLEARANCE. PLEASE CONTACT A SENIOR MEMBER Of STAFF IF THIS HAS BEEN DISPLAYED IN ERROR] |

Jakobi: Thank you for your time today, Jimena. I'll keep this brief so you can get back to resting.
Moreno: No, it's fine. I honestly miss having work to do. I guess I can pretend this is work for now.
Jakobi: Whatever helps you relax. So, how long have you and SCP-XXXX been living together?
Moreno: If by SCP-XXXX you mean Julia…
Jakobi: I do.
Moreno: …then about four months. Together for three years.
