Special Containment Procedures: Due to the size and remote location of SCP-4814, full containment is currently neither possible or necessary. All photos of Ganymede are to be altered to remove SCP-4814 if SCP-4814 is present. Astronomers involved in the study of Ganymede are to be monitored by embedded Foundation agents.
Extraterrestrial Site-713 has been constructed on the surface of SCP-4814 to house researchers and task forces. Mobile Task Force Lambda-31 ("Stone Cutters") and Orbital Task Force Gamma-1 ("Multiworld Travelers") have been assigned to exploration and securing SCP-4814.
A series of checkpoints and Forward Operating Bases have been established within the lower tunnels of SCP-4814. All checkpoints are to be controlled and defended by Mobile Task Force Zeta-9 ("Mole Rats").
Description: SCP-4814 is a massive superstructure located in the north pole of Ganymede1. SCP-4814 covers approximately 100 km² on the surface of Ganymede. The surface portion of SCP-4814 consists of several thousand buildings of various function connected by walkways.
Within the largest structure on the surface level is a centralized junction leading to subterranean levels of SCP-4814. The first subterranean level of SCP-4814 begins 20 meters beneath the surface of Ganymede, and extends to an unknown depth. This level is predominantly composed of buildings used in the research and experimentation of various fields of science.
The second level of SCP-4814 compromises a total area of approximately 65 km². All areas and rooms within the second level are entirely dedicated to a industrial park, often towards major heavy industry. Several storerooms within the second room include advanced military and industrial mining equipment produced from still operational factories within SCP-4814.
The third level within SCP-4814 is composed of thousands of decayed concrete tunnels leading to various points throughout Ganymede. Each tunnel measures with a height of 60 meters and a width of 65 meters. The length of each tunnel ranges from a minimum of 500 km to a maximum of 4,500 km. The only accessible entrance to the third level are massive circular concrete shafts beginning in several points of the second level.
SCP-4814-1 refers to humanoid entities composed of igneous rocks. SCP-4814-1 instances vary in height and material, however are most commonly seen standing at 1.8 meters and are composed of Basalt and Peridotite. SCP-4814-1 instances perform maintenance on SCP-4814 throughout most of their existence. SCP-4814-1 instances have largely ignored all Foundation attempts of contact. No SCP-4814-1 instance has been observed in the surface area of SCP-4184.
Addendum 4814.1 Discovery
SCP-4814 was discovered in 1997 by The NASA Space Satellite Galileo after astronomers noticed an unusual topographical pattern within Ganymede's North Pole. After a second fly-by of Ganymede by the Satellite New Horizons, SCP-4814 was confirmed to be an extraterrestrial structure.
Foundation Astronomical Command was alerted by NASA shortly after conformation. Construction of Site-713 began after initial Foundation response units reached the surface of Ganymede.

EXPLORATION LOG
DATE: 14/3/2132
EXPLORATION TEAM: Lambda-31 Detachment, Company A
TEAM LEADER: Cpt. Ryan Schemenauer (λ-31A-SL)
NUMBER OF PERSONNEL INVOLVED: 18, Designated λ-31A-2 to 18
SCP-4814 LOCATION: Level 1
[BEGIN LOG]
IRRELEVANT SURFACE EXPLORATION EXPUNGED
λ-31A-SL: This is Captain Schemenauer, we are moving into this structure's interior now.
Command: Understood, keep us updated.
The team moves from the entrance concourse and into a large "junction" various tunnels and hallways are seen across the walls.
λ-31A-17: I would advise we split up here captain. Whatever we are looking for we probably won't find just clumped together like this.
λ-31A-SL: Denied, don't you watch horror movies? I don't want anyone out of sight until we know what's down here.
The squad nears the concrete wall on the left side. Two multicolored lines are painted on the walls directing towards different rooms. It reads:
AERODYNAMICS TESTING RANGE | ████████████████████▶
◀██████████████████ | MISSION CONTROL CENTER
λ-31A-SL: (To radio) Command uh, we appear to have two options on where to go here. One for aerodynamics and one for some kind of mission control.
λ-31A-13: Why is this written in English?
Command: Proceed towards (Pause) mission control, over.
λ-31A-SL: Copy that. Alright squad, everyone on me.
After 7 minutes of moving down long corridor the mission control center is seen. The center, which has "GANYMEDE ROCKET CONTROL" written over its entrance, is soon investigated by λ-31. The squad briefly scans the rooms various computers and file cabinets, λ-31A-5 and λ-31A-18 remain outside as a sentry.
λ-31A-SL: Team, has anything of value been found yet?
λ-31A-10 approaches the squad leader.
λ-31A-10: This could be of some value, not sure what it is however.
A piece of graph paper is handed to the squad leader. On the paper is several illustrations of Jupiter and its surrounding satellites. A drawn arc originating from Ganymede's North Pole moving and ending at the Great Red Spot of Jupiter is observed. Several mathematical equations for the orbital inclinations for Jupiter and Ganymede are written below.
λ-31A-SL: And this is supposed to mean… what?
λ-31A-10: It could mean anything really. This was the only paper found on any of the desks here so I assume it's worth something.
λ-31A-SL: Well good find, but it just looks like some mathematical junk written by one of the aerospace engineers.
λ-31A-10: I doubt we'll find anything else of value here.
λ-31A-10 walks away and resumes to searching file cabinets.
λ-31A-18: (Radio) Captain, I believe we found some lifeform. I'm not sure what the hell it's doing. Just get out here and you'll see.
λ-31A-SL: (Radio) Describe the lifeforms appearance.
λ-31A-18: (Radio) Um, it's humanoid but it looks like it's made of rocks.
λ-31A-SL: (Radio) Hostile?
λ-31A-18: (Radio) Er, negative.
λ-31A-SL moves out from the room, and several other squad members follow. A SCP-4814-1 instance is seen cleaning the floor with a floor mop.
λ-31A-SL: Everyone stay back, I'm going to try to talk with it.
λ-31A-18: That's exactly what I was doing, it's just ignoring us.
λ-31A-SL: Command, are you seeing this?
Command: That is an affirm, we see it alright.
λ-31A-SL: What are our orders pertaining to lifeforms such as (Pause) that?
Command: Ignore all non-hostile lifeforms. We are here to explore, not make enemies.
λ-31A-SL: Copy that.
λ-31A-SL: Squad, let's keep moving. We still have a long way to go before we meet up with Company B.
λ-31A-15: And where is Company B anyway?
λ-31A-SL: Allegedly in the tunnels to the second level of this structure.
λ-31A-SL disables the camera.
[END LOG]
Note: Upon returning to base λ-31A-SL was reprimanded for turning off the recording without approval from the base camp.

- FCU-1 "Red One"
- FCU-2 "Green Two"
- FCU-3 "Blue Three"
- FCU-4 "Yellow Four"
SCP-4814 LOCATION: Level 2
OBJECTIVE: Meet with Foundation Advanced Subterranea Team in the central building of SCP-4814.
[BEGIN LOG]
FCU-SL: This is squad lead, check in.
FCU-1: Red One standing by.
FCU-2: Green Two ready and waiting.
FCU-3: Blue Three all ready to go.
FCU-4: Yellow Four ready as well.
FCU-SL: Good, keep in formation. Geographical scans done on this area indicate this second level is… (Pause) significantly larger than what we expected.
The team moves from a downwards tunnel entering a large room with a total area of 75 meters and height of 30 meters. The room is largely unfurnished and is constructed of reinforced unpainted concrete.
FCU-SL tosses a wrench with moderate strength into the center of the room. The sound of the impact echoes throughout the room and into the tunnels.
FCU-SL: Just seems like a huge waste of space to me.
FCU-3: It all feels just a little off.
The sound of echoing footsteps is heard coming from the opposite side of the room. The fireteam readies their weapons toward the source of the footsteps.
FCU-SL: (Low voice) Get behind that support beam! Go!
The fireteam moves behind a large cylindrical support beam. A SCP-4814-1 instance walks into the large room. FCU-SL and the other fireteam members move ahead of cover and continue moving.
FCU-4: It's just another rock janitor.
FCU-2: Yeah, what the hell are those things anyway?
FCU-SL: I got no fucking clue.
FCU-1: Probably the best answer given so far.
FCU-SL exits the large room into another set of tunnels. The remaining fireteam follows. Several SCP-4814-1 instances walk past the fireteam moving towards a unknown destination.
FCU-3: Good god, how long does this tunnel go on for?
FCU-2: It's an anomaly, it could be infinite in length or…
The team reaches the end of the hallway where a set of doors is visible.
35 MINUTES ARE SKIPPED DUE TO LACK OF ACTIVITY
The sound of industrial machinery and metallic banging is audible on the camera. The fireteam moves against the wall and moves slowly towards the source.
FCU-SL: Red One.
FCU-1: Yes sir.
FCU-SL: Move ahead and see what's behind that door, use caution.
FCU-1: Got it.
FCU-1 moves to a metallic door leading into the room. He twists a valve, opening the door and soon walks inside slowly. FCU-1 moves out of the room a minute later and gestures to move inside. The other fireteam members move inside the room.
Inside the room is a massive complex conveyor system with large sections of ore processing and refining equipment. Moving on the conveyor belt are large clumps of rock, with a unknown2 silvery white metal protruding.
FCU-SL: Oh boy. Any of you know any way to figure out what the flying hell this place is here for?
All fireteam members shake their heads sideways.
FCU-SL: I figured.
FCU-1 points towards a control station next to an ore grinder. The other squad members soon look at the pointed direction.
FCU-1: That place could probably be worth our time.
The fireteam moves towards the control station, climbing a ladder and moving across a elevated catwalk to reach the small building.
FCU-SL: Got some lengths to go for just some control building.
FCU-SL enters the building first, he begins to look at papers for possible information. The other fireteam members file inside and look inside the file cabinets. A notebook computer is present within a cabinet. FCU-4 powers on the device. The hard drive on the device has little to no data, however several forwarded memos from an unidentified sender have been saved.
FCU-SL: Any information on those memos Yellow Four?
FCU-4: Negative. I'll open one and see what they even say to begin with.
FCU-4 opens a saved memo. The memo reads:
MEMO
Regarding your concerns over increased uranium production; I assure you it is fully necessary for our new thaumatologic power reactor. No other fuel source would generate the full amount of electricity needed to power this structure and uranium is the easiest ore to process here. Plutonium would be a even greater resource to use, however the process needed for its importation from Earth does not make it a practical resource for our reactor.
Uranium-235 is our best bet on a sustainable resource to keep our generator running. This structure requires electricity generated at such high demand other sources such as solar cannot keep up with the demand for energy.
I appreciate your concern in contacting me in this matter. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely, Head Thaumatologic Safety Officer
FCU-4: Well, this whole damn system is here to power this place.
FCU-SL: I'm not exactly surprised. Given the complex shit we've seen all over, something crazy must have been running it.
FCU-2: That computer got a map on there?
FCU-4: Let me see here.
After several minutes of searching, FCU-4 locates a partial digitized map of the level 2 area.
FCU-4: That's all I could find, and that's probably all there is. I assume we are here on the map.
FCU-4 points towards the upper left side of the map.
FCU-SL: And we have to move here.
FCU-SL points to the center room of the map.
FCU-SL: Hmm, the least confusing way to the center is that tunnel there. Where does it start off exactly?
FCU-4 zooms in on the start of a tunnel on the map. The map indicates the starting room as:
╲╲╲╲╲╲
╱╱╱╱╱╱
REACTOR CORE
╱╱╱╱╱╱
╲╲╲╲╲╲
FCU-4: Lovely.
FCU-SL: Well if we want to meet with that team by today, we're probably going to have to go through with it.
FCU-4 turns off the notebook computer and places it within his backpack.
FCU-SL: Alright, move out.
All fireteam members move down the ladder and move into the next tunnel system.
1 HOUR IS SKIPPED DUE TO LACK OF ACTIVITY
The team moves down a large downwards stairway. The concrete walls soon transition into dark, partially reflective metal sheets.
FCU-3: Got a whole lot sleeker don't you think?
FCU-2: Well, it is a nice change from all the gray concrete that seemingly went on forever.
FCU-SL: Quiet. Keep moving, we're almost there.
Another corridor is passed. The team enters a control room reminiscent of a nuclear power plant's. Approximately 25 SCP-4814-1 instances are monitoring various dials and electronic screens.
FCU-1: Never seen one sit in a chair before.
FCU-2: On the bright side, at least these guys are preventing a meltdown in this place.
FCU-SL moves ahead into a hallway, on the right side is a men's locker room.
FCU-4: Er, squad lead. I recommend we check out that locker room for some protective clothing. I'm not entering a nuclear reactor in just this.
FCU-SL: Yeah, no shit Sherlock.
The team files into the locker room and soon locates protective gear, the team is dressed in MOPP Level 43 All fireteam members put on the equipment over their uniform and move outside afterward.
FCU-3: God knows if this will be enough.
FCU-2: Most likely, no.
The fireteam walks in front of the reactor airlock. More than 10 warning signs are present near the door, saying "EXTREME RADIATION HAZARD" and "CLASS 4 LASER WARNING".
FCU-SL: (FCU-SL Sighs) End of the line.
After turning a valve and opening the airlock, the team enters. The airlock slowly becomes depressurized.
FCU-4: So Major, what is your plan to get across here?
FCU-SL: The plan is to run as fast as you physically can. Unless you want to die of some radiation caused illness. Not the best plan, but it's one of our only options at our disposal.
FCU-4: Fair enough.
The outer airlock door opens. FCU-SL signals to run.
The reactor core covers the entire room in a bright blue glow. The sound of florescent lights, dripping water and flowing steam pipes are heard. The fireteam sprints across a elevated walkway. Another airlock is present which is soon entered by the squad.
FCU-SL: (Heavy Breathing) Everyone alright?
FCU-2: (Heavy Breathing) Yeah… we're fine.
The airlock pressurizes and the inner door opens. The fireteam finds enters a secondary control room with more SCP-4814-1 instances. The team removes their protective equipment and moves on.
FCU-3: Hey Yellow Four, do we have any more death traps on the way to center?
FCU-4: Negative. Probably just a lot more tunnels after this.
FCU-3: Okay.
The team moves into a linear concrete tunnel. The end of the tunnel is not visible on the camera or observed by the team members.
2.5 HOURS IS SKIPPED DUE TO LACK OF ACTIVITY
FCU-SL and the rest of the fireteam move into a large cylindrical concrete atrium. The ceiling skylight is non-transparent white glass. Bright light comes through the glass giving the illusion of sunlight. On the far side of the atrium is a logistics truck with several emplacement machine guns mounted onto sandbags. 3 members of Foundation Advanced Subterranea Team are present waving to the fireteam.
FCU-SL: About time we showed up.
The fireteam approaches the other squad.
FAST-SL: Hey, you finally made it huh?
FCU-SL shakes hands with FAST-SL.
FCU-SL: Yeah, we had to take quite a detour just to make it here on time.
FAST-SL: We also had to take a rather bizarre shortcut. We climbed through some rather confusing ventilation shafts to get here.
FCU-SL: Today certainly has been a day for detours that's for sure.
FAST-SL: Well, it is rather nice finally meeting you Major.
FCU-SL: Likewise.

EXPLORATION LOG
DATE: 16/3/2132
EXPLORATION TEAM: Foundation Advanced Subterranea Team
TEAM LEADER: Sgt. Lloyd Ellzey
NUMBER OF PERSONNEL INVOLVED: 3
PERSONNEL:
- FAST-SL
- FAST-1 "Rookie One"
- FAST-2 "Lightning Two"
SCP-4814 LOCATION: Level 2
OBJECTIVE: Recover a broken remote controlled drone and explore its surrounding area.
[BEGIN LOG]
FAST-SL: Squad lead reporting in.
FAST-1: This is Rookie One, checking in.
FAST-2: Lightning Two standing by.
The fireteam moves down a faintly lit concrete hallway. A large crack in the wall is present. SCP-4814-1 instances are also seen repairing the crack.
FAST-2: So, how exactly did that drone break again?
FAST-SL: Command told me apparently it fell down a hole of some kind. Yeah, woops.
FAST-1: Anything known about the whereabouts about this drone?
FAST-SL: Well we know the coordinates of where landed. Not much else was told to me however.
FAST-1: So we are walking in blindfolded essentially?
FAST-SL: Affirmative.
A hole measuring approximately 1 square meter is currently within the right side of the tunnel. A metal railing fences off the hole, preventing falls. A sign imprinted on the concrete wall says "FIRE EXIT". FAST-SL moves to the hole and kicks down the ladder. The fireteam moves down the escape ladder and into another tunnel. Three more short corridors are passed in the tunnel before the fireteam encounters another doorway.
The fireteam moves onto a set of stairs leading into a doorway. Inside the doorway is a downwards stairway.
FAST-SL: You see the bottom of that stairway?
FAST-1: Partially. Christ, I feel the deeper you go in this place, the less it's lit.
FAST-SL: Try to drop something down there.
FAST-1: Copy.
FAST-1 drops a socket into the stairway. In approximately 5 seconds a "bang" sound is heard.
FAST-SL: Well, let's get moving. We seem to be on a roll for weird shit here.
FAST-SL and the other squad members move down the stairway with moderate speed. After exiting the stairway, another set of tunnels is present. The tunnels are significantly less lit than as encountered before.
FAST-SL: Well I'll be damned. You were right. Alright, NVGs on.
The fireteam members equip their nightvision goggles.
FAST-1: (FAST-1 Sighs) Here comes the fun part of this mission.
FAST-SL: Don't fret about the night vision Rookie One.
FAST-1: It's not the night vision I'm worried about.
15 MINUTES ARE SKIPPED DUE TO LACK OF ACTIVITY
A large metallic blast door comes into frame. Two ceiling lights are present near the door. FAST-SL signals to turn off night vision devices.
FAST-2: That's one hell of a door alright.
FAST-SL shines a flashlight on the blast door. FAST-1 and FAST-2 attempt to open the door by turning the handle. FAST-SL assists the other squad members in turning the handle.
The handle is turnes after several minutes. The interior of the structure is fully lit and is covered with tiled flooring. The squad moves inside.
FAST-SL: Coordinates show our target location is just about 200 meters away. Keep moving.
FAST-2: Got it.
Another corridor is passed. The structure's concrete walls transition into white brick and the hanging lights transition into ceiling fluorescent lights.
FAST-SL: Every turn I feel something new is here. (FAST-SL Sighs) Every single turn.
FAST-1: I feel like I'm becoming claustrophobic. I don't think I've seen sunlight in days.
FAST-SL: Just keep moving.
Another blast door is approached by the fireteam, the blast door remains partially open.
FAST-SL: I guess whoever made this place forgot to lock the door.
FAST-1: Looks like this is our stop alright.
The fireteam moves into the next concrete tunnel beyond the open blast door. The walls, flooring and ceiling return to concrete. Steam piping and electrical wiring are present along the walls.
FAST-2: And back to normal.
FAST-SL: Command we are nearing the location of our target location, do you copy?
Command: Copy that, we hear you. Continue moving forward towards the target location, over.
A hatch, commonly seen on submarines and ships is observed. Similar to the previous blast door, it remains open. The fireteam enters the next room. The room is curved on the left side wall and several ladders to the higher levels of the room are present throughout.
FAST-SL: This must be the place.
FAST-1: It damn better be.
FAST-SL moves inside the room. He moves towards a radio communications station next to the wall. A thick white binder is on top of the stations desk.
FAST-SL: What the—
FAST-SL turns the binder towards the camera, the symbol of the Global Occult Coalition is visible on its cover. The binder is titled "OUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE", FAST-SL retrieves the binder.
FAST-1: Sarge, what is it?
FAST-1 moves near FAST-SL.
FAST-SL: Aparently a familar group has some influence here.
FAST-SL shows the binder to FAST-1.
FAST-1: It's just a binder you found on a desk. I doubt it has much significance.
FAST-SL: If it has no significance then why the hell is it here?
FAST-1: Do you think I have a clue on why? Because I clearly don't.
FAST-2: I really don't think it's something to worry about.
FAST-SL: Whatever the reason it's doing here, It's still a cause for concern. Well, let's just keep moving up that ladder.
The fireteam moves up a ladder within the room leading into the next level of the room.
FAST-2: I'm really getting sick of these ladders and stairs.
Fireteam moves towards the wall. A similar hatch is on the curved wall. A sign indicates "DEPRESSURIZED AHEAD, OXYGEN SUIT REQUIRED".
FAST-1: Guess that answers that.
FAST-SL: Coordinates say the drone is only about 10 meters away from where we are.
FAST-2: Hang on Sarge, look.
FAST-2 points towards near the corner of the curved wall. A reinforced pane of glass is present. Fireteam moves towards the glass pane.
FAST-SL: Oh shit.
Camera points out to the window. Outside the window is a missile launch silo covering approximately 6 square meters. In the center of the silo is a missile superficially resembling a Titan II ICBM however with a added 2 meters in length.
FAST-2: I'm going to take a guess and say the drone fell down in there.
FAST-SL: Correct.
FAST-SL: Command this is squad lead. We appear to have found (Pause) something on the lines of a nuclear missile.
Command: Copy. Is the warhead armed?
FAST-SL: Unsure. Its encompassing area is depressurized so we cannot exactly go out there.
Command: Roger that. We are sending a extraction team for further investigation, over.
FAST-SL: Rookie One.
FAST-1: Yes sir.
FAST-SL: While we are waiting for our inevitable extraction, search the room for any other documents.
FAST-1: Affirmative
FAST-SL: Lightning Two.
FAST-2: Yes sir.
FAST-SL: Search for any information regarding this rocket and its destination.
FAST-2: Copy that.
FAST-SL: Estimated time of arrival is 35 minutes. Let's see if we can clean this hellhole out before they get here.
