The Whistleblowers

Several Academy Award jokes later…

THE WHISTLEBLOWERS

Humanity wanted the truth. The universe couldn't handle it.

A cosmic sci-fi and horror saga combining meta themes with dystopian space opera, expanding on one of the most significant pieces of lore the SCP wiki has ever dreamt up.

The Bold Adventurers

Bard: TheeShermTheeSherm"OH MY FUCKING GOD! IT'S ALMOST GOD DAMNED UNDERTALE!"

Alchemist: BlazingTrailBlazingTrail"How about—no, that's stupid."

Ranger: ModulumModulum"yall motherfuckers better write write write like your hands are on anomalous fire"

Mage: YossiLeinerYossiLeiner"they're not tricks! it's magic, nyeh!"

Set over a [TIME PERIOD]-period in the later half of the 21st century, early 22nd century. Humanity has started to colonize and mine the solar system, AI is becoming more commonplace, etc. (see: The Expanse, Ghost in the Shell, Firefly)

1. SCP - Introduces Great Filter. Something is causing all highly advanced civilizations to suddenly die. Modulum
2. Tale - Introduces main characters. Research team that is looking into the SCP - maybe style as an after-action report or such? TheeSherm?
3. GoI Format/Serpent's Hand - Pattern Screamers: who are they, where did they come from? Yossi
4. Tale - Early signs of the Universe breaking down. In this story, shit gets real. Humanity must protect themselves against doomsday by creating a planetary isolation field. Modulum and BlazingTrail
5. GoI format/Black Queen or Oneiroi - Set some time later. The entire universe is now severely breaking under the burden of the disintegrating cosmos, and nobody can stop it. Yossi
6. SCP or Tale - The truth is revealed. We are in a simulation, and by saving ourselves from the pattern screamers we doomed the Universe to a slow, agonizing program crash. BlazingTrail
6.5 Tale - Set some time later. The universe is basically dead. Time is no longer real. Probability is no longer real. The universe is stagnant, static, and meaningless. Consciousness is nothing and everything that exists. A 3999-style surreal story with weirdness - like Like Clockwork BlazingTrail??
7. Tale - In the final moment of the Universe, whatever remains appeals to the computer and the creators to save them. The reader must decide how doomsday ends. TheeSherm and BlazingTrail?

Any of the above may be rearranged or combined as appropriate when we figure it out.
