Projected timeline

  • Dismas (2020) fights an emboldened 1285
    • Dismas, then a scrawny sidewinder, eats the goo, and begins to grow (This might seem like an extra step but I'm imagining a sequence where a small desert lizard eats like a bug that's infected or some of the goo, and its starting to imply that the lizard will be the monster when bam, a rattlesnake strikes from beneath the sand and eats the lizard. That's not really something you can portray in the article, I'm just having fun.)
    • The Foundation finds evidence of a giant (and growing!) snake
    • The snake rampages through the town, confused and frightened by its sudden change in size and the strange situation it finds itself in. It's rattle creates powerful concussive blasts that it doesn't understand how to control.
    • A local child finds it after it hides, and feeds it BBQ chicken. This is very important. He LOVES BBQ.
    • 1285's influence begins to spread through the valley and into the town, in the form of strange roots and plant growth.
    • Local kid names Dismas. Shares connection with him. Implied to be caused by minor mutation in the child. Maybe she shows him to a secondary character like her single mom or something.
    • People in town start dying. 1285 makes it's presence known. A giant, partially humanoid plant being that is attempting to spread it's roots into the town.
    • The kid and her parent/friends/whatever take refuge in Dismas' cave. Dismas is frightened of the strange plant bastard. The kid has to go back into danger for some reason. Maybe her mom is in town. I dunno.
    • The kid is endangered by 1285, which prompts Dismas to action. Dismas saves the kid from something and has a showdown with 1285.
    • 1285 has a vulnerability to Dismas' venom, but while it has a connection to the ground via it's roots, it is almost invulnerable.
    • Dismas loses the first skirmish, and is knocked unconscious. The kid goes up to it and puts her hand on its head and begs it not to die, asks for help.
    • Dismas awakens, and now takes on 1285 again. This time, he is emboldened. He knows all the plant monster's tricks.
    • After a brutal fight, Dismas finally utilizes his Concussive Rattle (His rattle is his Thing, like how Godzilla has his Atomic Breath) to destroy 1285's roots, and then injects it with his venom, destroying 1285 once and for all.
    • The kid and the supporting cast watch from a distance as Dismas is triumphant. Maybe he roars or something. Snakes don't roar, but whatever. Dismas is also backlit by a sunrise. The people of the town cheer as Dismas returns to the hills to rest. Credits roll.
    • After the credits, the kid is being interrogated by shadowy people. She explains that Dismas is a not a threat, that he's a hero, but they do not listen. Camera cuts to behind one way glass. A mysterious figure is holding a file folder that says "2677-PRIME". Cut to black.
  • Dismas: Foundations (2023) has Dismas fighting a modified 2677, designated 2677-PRIME
  • Dismas: King Worm (2025) sees Dismas protecting the countryside from an empowered 4947
    • Although the Foundation tries to send Dismas to King Worm, King Worm comes through the one-way portal through hole trickery.
