Foreward - About the Foundation

"Humanity has only crawled from the darkness and into the light within the last few millennia. We prevent it from falling back into fear and ignorance. We seek to understand that which kept is huddles around the first fire cowering at the shadows dancing in the dark. We no longer will be chained to notions of divinity or superstition. We are the indomitable force of human ingenuity and steadfast determination in the face of the unknown. We secure. We contain. We protect." — The Administrator

Welcome again to the SCP Foundation. We are glad to have you with us.

Here at the Foundation, you will be well compensated for your skill an dedication to your work. You are one of the best and brightest and your colleges will be the same. We here secure objects that do not fit into our current understanding of the laws of reality. We then contain them with specialized and refined processes and procedures. We do this both for their protection and our own. We learn and explore our universe in part by tests and study of these anomalous entities we refer to as SCPs.

Each SCP has a file that may be accessed by personnel, with the proper clearance, that describes the containment procedures, the description, and any other information or notes associated with that object. This allows us to make sure that personnel working with an object are informed about whatever qualities it possesses, but most importantly the proper way to contain and more importantly maintain containment of that object. Never forget to read and reread the containment procedures. <-Bold makes Joke as people tend to skip those?

If you ever have any questions, please contact us at HR or your supervisor. It is your responsibility to raise questions and concerns as safety is a group effort and no one individual alone can ensure security. We are a team. We succeed as a team or fail as a team. Go, team Foundation!

"As a member of the Foundation, always remember that your actions contribute toward the protection of humanity. This means that you must never forget that humanity cannot be expended in the pursuit of security. If you find your or another personnel's actions questionable, please contact a member of the ethics committee." - Notice from the Ethics Committee

2 - Security

As a new member of the Foundation, it is required that all of your data sharing or containing devices meet company standards. You should be receiving an email from MTF Rho-9 ("Technical Support") on your company email account. Don't worry about missing it, you will know when you get it.

Inside will be listed will be instructions on making sure your devices are protected, along with our password policy, data security policy, and best practices.

In addition to data security, it is important to remember that informational security starts with you. Never mention Foundation operations or locations in public and keep the work-related conversation at work.

2.1 - Other Benefits/Perks

The Foundation is proud to offer its members many additional benefits in addition to those mentioned previously. Please be aware that not all sites participate in the following additional benefits.

Note: Remember, as always feel free to contact us at HR or your supervisor with any questions.

Wilson's Wildlife Temporary Transfer Program: Interested in a break from the enclosure of your site and wanting to see the wonderful weather and wilderness of Oregon?

We now have a Temporary Transfer Program where you can take some time to work with our friends over at Wilson's to better learn to contain and study "Critters" of all kinds.

Continuing Education Programs: We here at the Foundation believe in continuing education and offer on-site seminars, classes, and both scholarships and grants for your higher learning prospects.

Contact HR or your supervisor to inquire about seminars and classes offered at your location or scholarships and grants current open for to applications.

Amnestic Therapy Program: Life can be traumatic and damaging to the mind as well as the body. In addition to the wide variety of mental wellness programs The Foundation offers, as a part of its health plans listed previously, it has recently begun the Amnestic Therapy program.

This program allows Foundation personnel who have undergone serious trauma to "Redact" their own memories if you will. It also offers hypnotherapy to replace the omitted memory so you are not walking around with a metaphorical hole in your head.
