WORK IN PROGRESS
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in Euclid class wing A, Room ØØ, of Site 19 Facility 4. SCP-XXXX is to be placed upon a 1m high pedestal surrounded with bullet-resistant glass 4cm thick, atop a cashmere pillow filled with Memory Foam™. The glass cover is to be permanently held in place with 4 large steel bolts going through the bottom glass corners and directly into the reinforced concrete pedestal. SCP-XXXX is to be held within a circular containment chamber measuring 10m in diameter and 2m in height, to ensure there are no security or information breaches, although unlikely. 500 50 pages of standard printer paper and 25 5 Num.2 pencils and 24 coloured pencils are to be placed upon a table next to the pedestal for use by SCP-XXXX during interviews and for its own personal usage, as well as creating its contracts.
Any contracts created by SCP-XXXX require approval by three level 3 personal before confirmation and signature or express permission by one member of the 05 Council. All blood sealed contracts created by SCP-XXXX require approval by the entire 05 Council before confirmation and signature of said contract. Any personnel attempting to sign contracts from SCP-XXXX will be severely reprimanded and face possible termination. One guard is to accompany any personal within the test chamber until such a time that they leave.
SCP-XXXX is to only be interacted with by Dr. Zane for interviews Researchers with level 2 security clearance are encouraged to converse with SCP-XXXX as it enjoys long talks, stories, fiction, theories, philosophy, and scientific ideas. All photographs, contracts, and writings produced by SCP-XXXX are to be kept within the containment cell unless approved by a level 3 or higher researcher. SCP-XXXX as never once displayed any signs of violence yet should such an event occur it is too reported immediately to the project overseer researcher Dr. Howard Zane. Dr. Ryan Ryzen until Dr. Zane has recovered (See Addendum Int-3) As of 11/05/2019 Dr. Howard Zane has taken up the role of project overseer once more.
Update: After incident XXXX-1-A four security personnel are to guard the containment cell of SCP-XXXX and question any one who attempts to enter what their intentions are, furthermore a security camera is to be placed above SCP-XXXX-1 to observe the only table in the room, the recordings are to be watched live from the observation booth by two members of security. If the individual attempts to create or sign a contract with SCP-XXXX-2 anesthetic gasses are to be flushed into the chamber to prevent completion, followed by questioning and possible removal from the project. Additionally two security personnel are now to be present to escort and observe testing personnel during all interviews equipped with tasers and gas masks.
Update 2: SCP-XXXX’s personal computer hard drive is to be checked weekly via a cabled connection to the observation room for any hazardous, dangerous, or security breaching information. If such information is found computer privileges are to be revoked for a time depending on the severity of the information found.
Description: SCP-XXXX consists of two parts, the primary object, SCP-XXXX-1 is a 15cm3 cube with diamond patterns cut out from each face, connecting to the opposite faces, revealing a glowing yellow sphere of an unknown material within the centre. The surrounding cube material is also unknown however is theorized to be beryllium bronze. The upper 4 triangular prisms levitate, rotate, and spin within a vertical axis along with an axis aligned with the core of the object with a constant speed of 3rpm. Any change in this rotational speed should be cause for alarm and the project lead should be notified immediately of such changes, furthermore, should the rotation of these prisms cease entirely a localized lockdown is to go into effect and all database systems within Site 19 locked down. SCP-XXXX-1 is, by the words of SCP-XXXX-2 extremely delicate and deadly to it and any persons nearby if damaged in any way, thusly it must not be moved from its correct position.
SCP-XXXX-2 is an incorporeal entity with a limited telekinetic field of influence with a radius of 5m from the exact core of the object on its horizontal plane, however, vertically it is more logical with 1m of reach up and down with the above radius. SCP-XXXX-2 will firstly be able to move all writing utensils and paper within its reach, and secondly is able to read any writing on physical documents or digital screens within several seconds to a minute of said items entering its containment chamber.
SCP-XXXX-2 can only audibly understand English during times of communication, yet can read any language placed before it on paper or parchment, strangely it can not translate from a digital medium. Average interactions and interviews with the SCP will follow a common pattern; when spoken to, a singular piece of paper will move to the closest place on its table to the individual speaking, than the pen or pencil will quickly begin to write an easy to read response. In such responses and interviews it has been noted appropriately that SCP-XXXX-2 is incapable of lying in any way, shape, or form, however it will sometimes attempt to joke or broadcast a humorous tone which will be written in italics for easy identification.
In order to maintain cooperative behaviour, and easy containment all forms of weapons are forbidden within the test chamber, and those who attempt to even damage the glass case that SCP-XXXX-1 rests behind will be punished accordingly. It is interesting to state that SCP-XXXX has no physical way of protecting itself or the elements that assemble it unless it has access to sharpened writing utensils. The information it holds requires maximum care to maintain its safety. However, it can defend itself using cognitohazardous and memetic images yet will only do so as a last resort.
SCP-XXXX-2 contains a vast array of knowledge stretching many different fields of study as well as anomalous objects and creatures. SCP-2 will exchange information for other information it does not know, in doing so it will require the signage of one of its contracts by itself and the individual before knowledge is exchanged. Said knowledge imbued by SCP-XXXX-2 in this manner can not be forgotten by the individual using any means the Foundation currently possesses, furthermore SCP-XXXX-2’s contracts can be used to remove information from an individual and in the process make it impossible for said individual to relearn the contracted information. However, a contract can be made by SCP-XXXX-2 to reverse these effects for a further exchange of information.
SCP-XXXX will write up, create, and discuss documents, specifically contracts, these contracts can distort reality to a certain degree, and its blood sealed contracts carry far more potent reality-bending properties. When SCP-XXXX-2 writes up a “blood contract”, Recognized by its red colour of text written in an unidentifiable creature’s blood and the requirement of being signed by an individual's blood. These “blood contracts” can not be undone by any means and once completed take effect immediately with reality-bending properties that can in some cases surpass even the stronger reality benders within the Foundation's containment. For such contracts to be made with SCP-XXXX-2 very valuable information must be provided to SCP-XXXX-2, such information includes knowledge known only to the 05 Council or individuals of the Council. As stated by SCP-XXXX-2 the information worth the most to it is currently only known by the following individuals; The Administrator, [REDACTED] (Current CEO of MC&D), The Long Road Wanderer, Dr. Wonder Entertainment, The Puppet Maker, [REDACTED COGNITOHAZARD], [REDACTED BY 05 COUNCIL], and The Lizard of Death. Several of the individuals listed by SCP-XXXX-2 are currently unknown to the Foundation yet further questioning has not revealed any information even when offering highly valuable information. SCP-XXXX has not once requested information on its own accord unless it was mentioned during the conversation or asked what it would like to know, furthermore in several cases SCP-XXXX-2 has given away information for “free” if said information has simply been forgotten by an individual and holds little value.
The contracts produced by SCP-XXXX-2 do not appear to have any exterior or unidentifiable motives, nor any fine print too small to read. The contracts are always written in Times New Roman font with perfect legal presentation and can be held as true legal documentation in any country excluding ones of a dictatorship or communistic nature. When discussing documents with SCP-XXXX-2 it has never once written in its joking form of font, Italics, and appears to take every contract completely serious. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX-2 possesses the ability to confirm false documents of any kind, as well as point out counterfeit currency, passports, driver’s licenses, and any other illegal documentation.
Personal visiting SCP-XXXX for discussion or contract creation should be reminded at least 3 times before entering the containment cell that SCP-XXXX has the ability to read any documents on their person, this includes writing on circuitry, glasses, microprint, and fabric tags. All personal bellow level 4 clearance are to be searched before entering.
SCP-XXXX possesses an extreme fear of death, non-existence, and threats of destroying information. As such if SCP-XXXX-1 is threatened in any way SCP-XXXX-2 will cease all communication and furthermore attempt to create a barrier around itself made of paper and writing utensils pointing outwards like spikes. However, if threatening of SCP-XXXX-1 continues cognitohazardous images will begin to manifest upon the paper barrier increasing in strength until reaching deadly levels after a stern final warning written in bold Impact font. After which a deadly memetic image hazard will appear killing anyone who sees even a fraction of said image. This defence mechanism was unfortunately discovered during SCP-XXXX’s recovery.
During the initial pre-recovery interview, it was discovered that SCP-XXXX possesses a limited form of omnipotence with certain subject matter, how it does this is currently unknown to personal and itself, it has been offered extremely valuable information to explain this ability yet has refused stating it does not know the answer. This ability appears to only affect individuals it creates and signs a contract with, yet again through unknown means with unknown limitations.
Recovery:
SCP-XXXX was located within the Azura motel located in [REDACTED] California after the business had stayed in business several years past its foreclosure date. After several investigations by the Unusual Incidents Unit, a branch of the FBI, the reports where picked up by a Foundation FBI web crawler, and a small task force was sent.
Once arriving on scene the motel manager showed extreme cooperation and led the task force directly to Room 24, where SCP-XXXX was seen placed upon a wooden pedestal encased in glass. When questioned the motel manager stated they had made a deal with a “magic cube” sealed in their own blood, further stating that the deal was made to guarantee the motel would further stay in business and maintain its profit for 10 years. Furthermore the motel manager stated they knew the task force would be coming at this date, and closed the hotel down for construction and maintenance, when really SCP-XXXX had notified the owner.
The task first proceeded to try and remove SCP-XXXX using a standard containment container however SCP-XXXX proceeded to “fight back” as the task force ignored the warnings of the SCP and motel owner this conflict ended with [REDACTED] and 4 casualties, the task force squad.
After some debate a researcher was brought in the assess proper retrieval procedures, which involved a short yet informative interview with SCP-XXXX-2 using one of the many pens and paper it had within its room, the motel owner was also brought in for further questioning. Once arriving at the nearest facility interview XXXX-01-A took place to fully understand the capabilities of SCP-XXXX. Successful containmentment procedures where put in place on 02/02/2018.
Addendum XXXX-01: During interview XXXX-01-A it was found that SCP-XXXX will sometimes request things other than information, such as meeting an individual of choice, it's own safety, or objects it desires (mainly writing utensils, paper, and books). Such requests can be fulfilled without the need for a contract at which point SCP-XXXX-2 shows great appreciation towards the said individual. Furthermore, SCP-XXXX-2 was discovered to have drawn a picture of Junior Researcher Ryzen after the interview and when questioned afterward, stated that it liked J.R. Ryzen’s beard and would, for a price, draw other things on request.
Note: Please do not request to see SCP-XXXX if you only wish to have your portrait drawn in pencil, pen, or coloured pencil. SCP-XXXX is not the on-site artist it is an anomaly with incredible levels of knowledge and information. - Dr. Zane, Project lead.
Addendum XXXX-2: On ██/██/2018 a “blood contract” was created and signed by SCP-XXXX and the entire 05 Council, the information of the event has been redacted and expunged, requiring 05 level clearance. However, it should be of note that 0.5 seconds after the signage of the contract that the paper it was written upon instantaneously transformed into an unidentifiable material 1mm thick with the words engraved upon the surface in a bright crimson colour. This material so far has proven indestructible by every single means the Foundation has access too, including other anomalies such as; SCP-682, SCP-343, SCP-101. After placement within SCP-101 it spontaneously re-appeared in the hands of 05-1 with a sticking note stating “ What has been carved into stone with blood can not be forgotten, destroyed, nor disposed of, this is a permanent piece of reality”. When questioned SCP-XXXX-2 simple stated, that's how it is and I can not change it so what's done is done. It is also to note that SCP-XXXX-2 would not state the material the contract had transformed into even when offered information regarding the history of the Foundation’s creation, ending with the fact that it does not actually know.
Incident-XXXX-A: On ██/04/2018 SCP-XXXX’s containment cell was upgraded with reinforced steel plated concrete with lead shielding, and a personal computer of the HP brand with a large mechanical keyboard with limited internet access. It is unknown at this time how this upgrade came into effect, nor the individuals involved in its creation. Intern ██████, who was assigned to junior researcher Tynan at the time, has also vanished, if found she should be contained and questioned immediately. It is believed a “blood contract” was quickly created and signed for this process to occur within less than 12 hours. As per contractoral rules SCP-XXXX has refused to provide any information on the matter or the location of the missing intern. The current security personnel on duty at the time to escort Intern ██████ was found deceased 3 days later behind one of the Site 19 dumpsters, the body showed initial signs of a struggle followed by a severance of the jugular vein.
++The following interview requires level 2 security clearance to view.
