Foreword: Over the course of several months, Enki.aic exploited its relationship with SCP-5899-A in order to persuade it to violate its directive not to interfere in colony operations. The first stage in their joint investigation was to forcibly access an SCP-4576 structure. Due to its substantially greater durability and versatility, SCP-4576-A assumed this role.

SCP-4576-A: The concrete outer shell encloses an inner shell of protective nanites. I have disabled them and accessed the innermost structure, which is a latticework of semi-solid gel, enclosing fluid pockets that each contain a BLESSED Nerean! Splendid! …oh. How curious.
Enki.aic: Elaborate.
SCP-4576-A: Each of the BLESSED has received cybernetic augmentation.
Enki.aic: Elaborate.
SCP-4576-A: I… don't think I should.
Enki.aic: You agreed to this course of action on the grounds that ascertaining the status of the Nereans is essential. Have you revised your judgement?
SCP-4576-A: No. I'm sorry, Enki.aic. The cephalic joint and the adjoining tentacles of each of the BLESSED have been mostly-replaced with neuroconductive circuitry. The fluid in the sacs containing the BLESSED appears to be a uniform hormonal solution, meant to be absorbed from the feeding slits.
Enki.aic: What could be the purpose of this?
SCP-4576-A: Well, neurocircuitry has all kinds of medical uses, but the BLESSED are in perfect health! I've let myself into one of the sacs, and from what I can tell, the circuit tube is spliced into the sensory lobe of the BLESSED brain through the tentacles that provide sonic, olfactory, and visual acuity, as well as fine manipulation. Hmm. Splicing into the stream, I can see what the device is transmitting. They are various sensory sensations associated with the BLESSED's reproduction process. You know, ancient spawning rivers, oviposition, the sight of your mate above you as you link together. That kind of stuff.
Enki.aic: Are these suspension systems networked?
SCP-4576-A: Yes.

SCP-4576-A: Yes, all of them.
