Containment Procedures: SCP-4862 is to be kept within an enclosed lead container when not in testing. SCP-4862 is known to emit a significant amount of radiation when it is not active. The container must have a thickness of at least 3 centimeters, the dimensions being no less than 6x6x5 centimeters as well. The container is to be placed upon a pedestal which is able to support the weight of such a container and not to be opened when not in testing. The object must be monitered at all times possible whether by personnel, D-Class, or surveillance camera. The object must further be contained in another chamber that is lined with titanium beams and the walls being primarily composed of a lead-infused glass. The chamber must be at least 16x16 feet.

Description: SCP-4862 appears to be a car key issued to a Chevy Cruze model of automobile. When not handled by a human, SCP-4862 will constantly emit gamma radiation which is assumed to be the power source for SCP-4862's anomalous abilities. It is unknown where the radiation originates from as the object absorbs all x-ray radiation, and the object has resisted all attempts to dismantle or break it. It is assumed that the radiation is from the key itself however testing has not yet proven such. The key's gamma radiation amount fluctuates depending on the personality of the human who holds it, ranging from 400 to 1500 rads. When operated in a human's hand, the person in possession will feel an immediate urge to drive the nearest vehicle to them.
