Special Containment Procedure: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in cryochamber 32F of site 42, with wall mounted thermometers constantly monitoring the containment chamber to ensure its temperature remains at -30 degrees Celsius. In the event 32F involuntarily reaches -29 degrees Celsius or warmer, all testing of SCP-XXXX is to immediately freeze until the cryo chamber temperature has been re-adjusted. Personnel are advised to keep a minimum distance of 15 feet between them and SCP-XXXX, and to always avoid direct line of sight with SCP-XXXX-01.

Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a wooden cabin approximately 1.6 meters wide, 1.333 meters long and 2.03 meters tall which hosts a triangular roof. Wood carvings on the back of the cabin suggest it was built in 17██, however age testing has shown it to have actually been built in 18██.

SCP-XXXX has a constant scent of burning wood surrounding it until an initiation phase is performed, at which point the aroma will shift to that of methanol. SCP-XXXX displays no signs of anomalous activity until an organism or object is placed within it. If SCP-XXXX is locked with a subject contained within the entity, SCP-XXXX will begin making sounds akin to that of wood burning at a very high volume, with one instance having been recorded at 120 decibels. This process, named the "initiation" phase,
lasts approximately 13 to 22 seconds.

Once the initiation phase is complete, SCP-XXXX will automatically unlock and open. The organism or object which was previously contained within SCP-XXXX (who from this point on will be referred to as SCP-XXXX-01) will completely disappear if the surrounding environment is exactly -29 degrees Celsius or colder. However, if the temperature of SCP-XXXX's vicinity reaches above -29 degrees Celsius, there is a possibility that SCP-XXXX-01 will still be present once the initiation phase is complete. If present, SCP-XXXX-01 is usually found in a decaying, immobile state, with the intensity of damage to the subject varying based on the exact temperature of SCP-XXXX's surrounding environment.

The temperature in SCP-XXXX's immediate vicinity will also affect the longevity of SCP-XXXX-01, with every degree Celsius warmer increasing the estimated lifespan of SCP-XXXX-01 by 2 seconds. Once 30 degrees Celsius has been achieved, SCP-XXXX-01 will begin to re-animate whilst showing signs of hostility. At 50 degrees Celsius or above, SCP-XXXX-01 has enough energy to actively seek and assault any organisms in its line of sight until its estimated lifespan runs out. It is shown to be completely immune to all forms of outside stimuli, with the only known method of halting its advance being to physically incapacitate it. Whether or not SCP-XXXX-01 can be killed —is still in debate- has been proven to be false; the only known method is to wait for its lifespan to expire.
