Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in Locker 72 at Mobile Task Force Operations Site 16-███ in ██████, New Mexico. Access to SCP-XXXX is only to be granted to the current Mobile Task Forces Commander on site. Use of SCP-XXXX in operations may be granted to any member of the unit with permission from the Mobile Task Force Commander on site, SCP-XXXX may be released to a science team for experimentation only with permission from the O-5 Council. Should SCP-XXXX be stolen or otherwise fall into the hands of non-permitted personnel standard recovery procedure consists of engaging the wearer in hand to hand combat in order to physically remove SCP-XXXX after which the former wearer can safely be terminated or detained.
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be an Iraqi M80 combat helmet, the material composition of SCP-XXXX has been shown to be no different from other helmets of the same model being made up of compressed canvas. SCP-XXXX was recovered during Operation Desert Storm outside the village of ████, Southern Iraq. It's anomalous properties were noted during the assault when several firearms misfired and a grenade failed to detonate, SCP-XXXX was removed from the Iraqi infantryman, █████ █████, only after he ran out of ammunition and surrendered, SCP-XXXX was recovered from the unit that captured the village by embedded SCP personnel, it was determined use of amnestics was unnecessary as the members of the unit believed the failure of their weapons was through bad luck. SCP-XXXX was given classification upon discovery of it's anomalous abilities that include causing any weapon used on a wearer of SCP-XXXX to fail before the attack can be carried out. It was previously believed that SCP-XXXX gave wearers an enhanced state of bravery in combat however it was determined through further experimentation that this was simply a result of the wearers knowledge of SCP-XXXX's abilities.
Though SCP-XXXX causes the failure of weapons used on any wearers, it does not enhance the strength of the wearer, nor does it prevent attacks from being carried out without the use of weapons. Because of it's anomalous nature, firearms, knives, swords, clubs, vehicles, tasers, light based and acoustic weapons are all useless against a wearer of SCP-XXXX and a misfire or other failure may even injure an agent attempting to engage a wearer.
Addendum: Following deliberation is was determined that SCP-XXXX did not require extensive containment procedures and could be more useful to the foundation if use is granted to MTF units in situations where they may meet combat.
