Special Containment Procedures: Due to its nature, SCP-XXXX cannot be contained. Predictions have lead to human extinction, and preparations are currently taking place to ensure the survival of the human race. There is technically a way to reduce SCP-XXXX globally, but technically couldn't happen due to human extinction.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an anomalous effect, affecting the entire planet, even universe. It affects individuals of all age, but it seems to prefer children. Anybody affected by SCP-XXXX can hallucinate, hear noises that aren't there, and even be affected physically. SCP-XXXX's effects include, hearing footsteps, lights being turned on, and sometimes even noises outside that are not there. SCP-XXXX can come at day, but it mostly at night.
Sometimes, people affected by SCP-XXXX are too scared to even open their eyes, and sometimes even die of a heart attack later in their life. Sometimes, SCP-XXXX will come in the form of real events when people are paranoid. These effects include lights going out, lights flickering, making them feel watched, and more.
There has been technology that has been created to reduce the effects of SCP-XXXX, but it does not work.
