Containment procedures: SCP-5036 does not require any special containment procedures but is advised to be kept away from easily manipulated individuals
Description: SCP-5036 seems to be a normal broken television from the 90s and is damaged beyond repair. SCP-5036 was found in a remote location in █████ guarded by 5 instances of SCP-5036-1. SCP-5036 seems to lure in it's victims by means of █████████ █████████████ telepathic communication or auditory illusions. SCP-5036's anomalous effects only occur when an individual is within ██ Feet of it, SCP-5036 will begin whirring and the subject that entered the field SCP-5036 imagines the screen still being intact and has the option to pick any show ever created, how they pick is still unknown as there are no buttons nor a remote, and after choosing a show the subject will begin thinking they are various characters of the show, usually the one that most appeals to them, and after █-█ weeks begin changing mentally and physically into said character. These are then collectively classified as instances of SCP-5036-1. Instances of SCP-5036-1 seem to not be dangerous unless the character the subject morphed into is dangerous/destructive. SCP-5036-1 will then become apparently confused asking about where it is and referring to episodes of the show it came from. SCP-5036-1 does not require any type of sustenance. SCP-5036-1 never dissipates are currently each held in their own containment cells. SCP-5036-1 instances from the same show may not be able to be contained together due to incident[DATA REDACTED] where multiple SCP-5036-1 instances from the same show ██████ and breached containment resulting in ██ fatalities including SCP-████ and the escape of multiple SCPs1
