SCP-4153

Object Class: Safe Euclid Neutralized

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4153 is to be stored in a relatively clean 10m x 10m x 10m room on top of a wooden desk. SCP-4153 is to be cleaned thoroughly at 1-week intervals.

Item Description: SCP-4153 is a large non-impressive looking desktop computer in a 1996 ATX Matte Gray Computer Case. However, the internals of the case contain all of the current best hardware. Every time a new, superior, piece of hardware is released for commercial use, its counterpart in SCP-4153 is replaced with said part. SCP-4153 consists of SCP-4153-1 and SCP-4153-2. SCP-4153-1 is a large non-impressive looking desktop computer in a 1996 ATX Matte Gray Computer Case. However, the internals of the case contain all of the current best hardware. Every time a new, superior, piece of hardware is released for commercial use, its counterpart in SCP-4153 is replaced with said part. SCP-4153-2 is a confirmed sentient and intelligent entity that replaces said parts. SCP-4153-2 is capable of communication via text editing software, and appears to enjoy communicating, and appears to have a special preference for Head Researcher ███████. There is no current known way to contain SCP-4153-2.

Testing Log:
Test SCP-4153-1:
Researcher ███████ removed the cover of SCP-4153 five (5) minutes before Intel revealed their latest CPU. Once it was revealed, Researcher ███████ glanced away from the computer, when he turned back, the CPU was replaced.
Note: Maybe whenever a part is replaced, people can't look at the part itself getting replaced. I will need to do more tests. -Researcher ███████

Test SCP-4153-2:
Researcher ███████ placed his head in a brace, facing towards the open computer. When GeForce announced their newest GPU, Researcher ███████ sneezed forcefully, his eyes being closed. When he opened them, the GPU was replaced.
Note: Lets try recording the computer digitally next time. -Researcher ███████

Test SCP-4153-3:
Researcher ███████ turned the computer on, and played ██████████████ while video recording the open side of the computer. When The newest RAM was unveiled by Corsair, the computer shut off. When researcher ███████ turned it back on, a Microsoft Word file was pinned to the desktop. The file read: "Sorry I had to shut it off. That's a good game, but I have to make my PC better. -█████████" When viewing the footage, all watching will blink, look away, or sneeze. When looked through frame-by-frame, the site directors computer shut off, and when it was turned back on, the file was deleted and the SD cartridge containing the video was gone. Site personnel have yet to locate said cartridge.
Note: Holy [Expletive Deleted]! This confirms that there is a sentient creature replacing the parts, that they are capable of communication, and the parts actually get replaced instead of morphing into the new ones! -Researcher ███████

Test Communication Log SCP-4153-4:
Researcher ███████ typed: "Why can't we see you when you replace the parts?" into a Word file right before a new motherboard reveal. When he opened it, the words were replaced with: "I don't know. I just go to replace the parts when I have to, and then I go back."
Note: We have established communications people! This means an upgrade in object class, and it is an entirely different anomaly then we originally thought! -Researcher ███████

Communication Log:

Researcher ███████ sits down at the computer before a new part is released. The following transcript is communicated entirely via a text editing document.
███████: Hello SCP-4153.
The part is released and the computer shuts down. Researcher ███████ turns the computer back on.
SCP-4153: Hello. Is that the name you wish to call me?
Researcher ███████writes in the document
███████: That is what we call you, yes.
At this point, SCP-4153 changes the document without replacing any parts, and without shutting the computer down.
SCP-4153: Alright then. Just so you know, my real name is ████ █████████.
███████:Okay ████, where are you when you are not here?
SCP-4153: I don't know exactly. I only know how to get from there to here.
███████: Speaking of, how exactly do you get in… here.
SCP-4153: The door. Where else?
███████: But the door is a bulkhead, and is constantly sealed.
SCP-4153: I enter when others do.
███████: Okay then. How come we don't see you?
SCP-4153: How come I can't see you?
███████: So we are invisible to you as well? Strange.
SCP-4153: Yes. However I found the address for a place called Site-██. I could see a hairy primate that sat at a desk.
███████: Well, I am afraid we are not hairy primates, although we are pretty close.
Researcher ███████ chuckles to himself.
SCP-4153: Well, I hope to speak to you again soon, but I have to go.
███████: Wait, where are you going?
There is no further contact from SCP-4153-2 that day

Communication Log SCP-4153-5:

Researcher ███████ enters the room one day after the events of Communication Log SCP-4153-4. He sits down to see that SCP-4153-2 has responded, presumably when he just entered.
SCP-4153: My home. Master sends me to make his computer the best of all, and when it is complete, I will bring it to him. I do not have much time. He has grown suspicious of me staying longer than usual. I had to crawl in through the air vents to send you this message. He will come after me. I enjoyed our conversations, ███████. Goodbye. (And by the way, you look amazing.)
Next to the monitor is a physical photograph of Researcher ███████, taken from his desk. After this incident, no further contact has been achieved with SCP-4153-2, and is assumed neutralized. The hardware of the computer does not continue to be updated, however may be in the future, as SCP-4153-2 spoke of other entities. Personnel are prohibited from taking the computer to their office as a "souvenir". Researcher ███████ has expressed mourning and has shown signs of depression, as he has appeared to form a "bond" with SCP-4153. A mental test is scheduled for Researcher ███████.

Addendum SCP-4153-1:
SCP-4153 can be accessed by any researcher Researchers of level 3 clearance or higher, after being searched, for general purposes. See Addendum SCP-4153-2.

Addendum SCP-4153-2:
SCP-4153 and SCP-076 are to be contained at separate sites. After Resarcher ██████ tried to cross test them without permission, all personnel entering SCP-4153's containment chamber are to be searched for any copies of SCP-076, or any other computer based SCPs.
