Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4XXX-A and SCP-4XXX-B are each to be kept in standard humanoid object containment cells in separate wings of Site 19 in order to mitigate the effect that a containment breach of one might have on containment of the other. SCP-4XXX-A and SCP-4XXX-B are to each have a rotating roster of D-class personnel assigned to them for 4-hour shifts at a time in order to maintain containment. In the event of a containment breach, all personnel at Site 19 should be ordered to accept any bananas offered to them by SCP-4XXX-A or SCP-4XXX-B.

Description: SCP-4XXX is the designation for two identical statues possessing identical anomalous properties¹. SCP-4XXX are human-sized replicas of the fictional character "Goofy", from Disney's popular "Mickey Mouse" animated series. While inactive, SCP-4XXX is effectively non-anomalous.

SCP-4XXX's anomalous properties activate upon entering a "banana event". Upon entering a banana event, SXP-4XXX will animate, and proceed to move in a straight line toward the nearest human (hereafter the subject), ignoring all obstacles, including walls. SCP-4XXX is extremely strong and durable, and can burst through even reinforced concrete with apparent ease. Upon approaching the subject, SCP-4XXX will manifest a banana in its hand, and offer it to the subject, while vocalizing the phrase: "do you want a banana?" in a monotone voice. If the subject accepts the banana, the banana event will end. If the subject refuses, SCP-4XXX will repeat the process of finding a subject and offering a banana, ignoring humans who have refused it during the current banana event. A banana event will always occur exactly ten seconds after the previous one has ended.

Addendum I: Incident CB-19-8329

The following is a transcript of footage recorded on camera 19-47821 during a large-scale containment breach at Site 19 on ██/██/██:

16:23 Camera shows an empty hallway in Site 19. One wall² is cracked but appears stable.

16:24 SCP-173 enters the hallway from behind the camera. It is shuffling forward slowly, and is leaving a trail of blood and feces behind it.

16:24 SCP-4XXX-B bursts through the wall of the hallway, causing it to collapse.

16:25 SCP-4XXX-B approaches SCP-173, and vocalizes the phrase: "do you want a banana?", while holding out a banana. SCP-173 does not react.

16:25 SCP-4XXX-B proceeds to exit the hallway through the area where the collapsed wall previously stood. SCP-173 continues down the hallway.

Two armed guards should be assigned to guard SCP-4XXX's chamber, and are to ensure that no personnel come closer to SCP-4XXX-A or SCP-4XXX-B than they are to each other. By containing SCP-4XXX-A and SCP-4XXX-B, they resolve each other's banana events and thus contain each other. They are therefore not to be separated under any circumstances. In the event of a containment breach, all personnel at Site 19 should be ordered to accept any bananas offered to them by SCP-4XXX-A or SCP-4XXX-B.
