CONTAINMENT PROCEDURES: I mean the final procedures are send a D-Class with good behavior to go let off some steam and do some bonkers shit and then once they're been arrested by regular police have them brought back into Foundation custody.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT: they need to figure that out midway, so there needs to be an initial sad attempt at containing the SCP-XXXX-X instances before they realize that 1. They just demanifest afterward and 2. It doesn't stop it from happening

Oooooh okay so they figure out the containment procedures because a D class escapes and does some Florida man b.s. with a safe SCP, which leads to the lead researcher to do some crazy bs and figure out that's the trick.

Page Layout (Optional): Fairly standard bare-bones article since this is my first time. There will be an incident log of SCP-XXXX-1 manifestations, as well as a revised Containment Procedures notice at the end of the article.

Elevator Pitch: Florida Man is the expression of the collective unconscious id.

Central Narrative: Otherwise non-anomalous humans are spontaneously manifesting in Florida and causing all sorts of nonsensical mayhem for a while before spontaneously de-manifesting. While the activity itself is fairly innocuous, the demanifestation represents a serious veil breach. The Foundation gets to work trying to determine the cause and in the meantime keep the situation under wraps. This does not go well.

Turns out, Florida is a sort of "heat sink" for the collective id of humanity. Once it reaches capacity, it releases a manifestation that proceeds to get involved in some sort of manic cathartic hijinks to bring the id levels down to acceptable levels. Once the head researcher figures this out (likely by accident), the article ends with new revised containment procedures: D-Class personnel with records of good behavior and cooperation with the Foundation are allowed loose on supervised shenanigans in order to keep the "heat sink" at acceptable levels, effectively ending the random manifestations.

Hook/Attention-Grabber: While there are a number of SCPs which have containment procedures that are heavily reliant on D's, I think this one does so in a more light-hearted manner and tells a feel good story about cooperation between the D-Class personnel and the Foundation as a whole. I also like the idea of an SCP that's all about catharsis - the mounting stress as personnel attempt to keep the situation contained before figuring out why it's happening, juxtaposed with the actual containment procedures which essentially amount to "Just get someone to blow off some steam every X days, we all work too hard anyway."

As of Incident-XXXX-2 on ██/██/████, all information regarding SCP-XXXX is restricted to personnel with Level 5/XXXX clearance. Due to its extensive power requirements, SCP-XXXX is only to remain on during pre-approved anomaly identification sessions. Access to SCP-XXXX for other purposes is approved on a case-by-case basis by the active HMCL Supervisor, currently Dr. Samantha Albrecht. Following the events of ██/██/████ (See Addendum XXXX-2), SCP-XXXX is to be informed that communications have concluded after each session to prevent distress during shutdown sequence.
