Crabbicles' SCP Sandbox

Item #: SCP-XXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-3124 is to be kept under 24/7 surveillance at Research Site-45. SCP-XXX is to be kept in it’s own room, no smaller than 5m x 5m x 7m, and kept in a 50cm x 50cm x 50cm container made of military grade reinforced glass. SCP-XXX is not to be removed from it’s containment unit without 2 level 4 clearance, and anyone entering it’s containment unit should have no currency of any form within their possession under any circumstances.

Description:

SCP-XXX is an anomalous object resembling a typical piggy bank. It is made of what appears to be porcelain, but after further testing SCP-XXX appears to be extremely dense and hard, virtually impervious to any form of scratching, fracturing, and even dulling of colour and lustre. SCP-XXX appears to be infinitely large on the inside despite only weighing 360 grams. If anything other than any form of coin currency are attempted to be inserted into SCP-XXX they are immediately ejected back out of the coin slot at a velocity of exactly 1 m/s.

SCP-XXX accepts any denomination of currency, but only coins. When a coin is inserted into SCP-XXX, it causes a random event to occur in a random location on Earth. Currently the potential outcomes of SCP-XXX have been observed to be limitless. After the event has been started, SCP-XXX appears to re mint the coin, removing any previous details and replacing it with a small image of whatever event has occurred. The new coin is then ejected out of the coin slot of SCP-XXX at a velocity of exactly 1 m/s. The events appear to have some correlation to the value of the currency inserted. Research was stopped in 1980 after the insertion of a United States 25¢ coin caused the eruption of Mount St. Helens. SCP-XXX was immediately moved from Storage Site-64 to Research Site-45 for more secure housing and further observation. SCP-XXX is currently suspended from any testing without 2 level 5 clearance personnel present. For full list of SCP-XXX related events please see [ACCESS DENIED.]
