SCP-XXXX-2 at location of discovery

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in in a 4m x 4m x 2m room designed for ease of repairs. SCP-XXXX-1 is to be fed one standard human ration placed on a cheap and disposable platform daily. During feeding, personnel are to remove roughly 3 Litres of water from SCP-XXXX-2 and replace it with clean water.
Half of the foundation issue filter media in SCP-XXXX-2's internal filter is to be replaced with new filter media every week.

Description: SCP-XXXX consists of two objects, SCP-XXXX-1 and SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-1 is a 6 cm long male Siamese fighting fish1 with blue/purple fin colouration. Of not is the organism’s reluctance2 to eat standard aquarium fish foods. and is to be fed regular human rations instead. The main anomalous property of SCP-XXXX-1 is that any matter in immediate contact with SCP-XXXX-1 spontaneously disappears from reality, with few exceptions3 and is observed to “swim” through the air and any solid material in its way. However, SCP-XXXX-1 usually only does this when searching for food, when agitated or if there are poor water conditions in SCP-XXXX-2.

SCP-XXXX-2 is a 60 Litre aquarium and the contents therein4, which at the time of acquisition included aquarium substrate, several plants, the internal filter, and several fish of the species Kuhli Loach5. Of note is the fact that parts of SCP-XXXX-2 are largely unaffected by the anomalous effects of SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 interacts with most of SCP-XXXX-2 normally, except for the glass. Which SCP-XXXX-1 appears to phase through without removing it. How water introduced into the tank becomes immune to the effects of SCP-XXXX-1 and how SCP-XXXX-1 interacts with the air immediately above the water within the tank (such as when that air stops being “part of” SCP-XXXX-2) is currently under research.

Addendum: idk, planned on having a woman call in to pest control about a fish that is eating her lunch and about damages to the house. With a standard amnestic use and cover story of a rat infestation. With the skip being the child of the mother being implied from description/containment. But ech, I feel unsure about the execution
