Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is cordoned off from civilian access through the erection of construction barriers. Two security guards posed as plainclothes law enforcement personnel are to patrol the premises and deter any trespassers from entering or damaging SCP-XXXX in any way.
The entrance to SCP-XXXX is to be padlocked at all times.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a spatial anomaly that exists within the boundaries of a cube-shaped abode (measuring 3m x 3m x 3m) situated in a forested area 4km away from Utsunomiya, Honshu Island, Japan. A single hinged metallic door serves as its sole entrance. The interior of the abode is unilluminated and its contents are imperceptible to the human eye. Subjects within SCP-XXXX are free to navigate outside of the abode's structural boundaries for an indefinite distance. A notable exception is SCP-XXXX-1.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a 1.1m x 0.5m x 1.3m hole that exists on an intangible vertical plane situated to the right side of the entrance. A white illumination measuring at ~450 lumens is emitted from SCP-XXXX-1. Further details are unclear as experimentation is currently ongoing to ascertain the true nature of the anomaly.
Discovery: Disappearances began to surface as early as 2012 near the residence. A local law enforcement team (consisting of three men) was dispatched to the forest on 03/12/2012, discovering the adobe. A wooden sign, severely decomposed, was hung on the entrance, reading:
いいえ。
Translation: No.
All three officers failed to report to their superiors and all communications were cut. An investigation was launched afterward as part of rescue efforts but failed to produce any meaningful results. Embedded Foundation agents took notice and disseminated false eyewitness reports dismissing connections of the disappearances to the adobe as well as the implementation of the current Containment Procedures. Following its acquisition and securement, schemes to explore SCP-XXXX have been forwarded to the Overseer Council for approval.
