Special Containment Procedures:
Any deaths caused by instances of SCP-XXXX are to be explained to locals of the site as a heating malfunction and all personnel sent to the site of an instance of SCP-XXXX are to be clothed in some variation of utilities worker's garbs along with a van from a local business .All houses, water treatment plants, and sewage systems within a 1 kilometer radius are to be swept for instances of SCP-XXXX, being dismissed as an infestation of Giardia intestinalis. All peoples affected by the instance of SCP-XXXX are to be immediately removed and taken to site number ███ , treated of any injuries sustained, declared dead to any relations and the local governing force, and sent to a different country than that of which they originated, with a new identity. All instances of SCP-XXXX are to be kept in the same granite cell after immediate containment. The cell must be covered around the outside with a layer of silica gel held in by a thin aluminum foil. The cell is to be suspended above the ground by multiple chains made out of granite and is to be completely surrounded by industrial strength air conditioning units. Burnt carcasses of various bovine are to be dropped into the containment cell on a weekly basis to keep the captured instances of SCP-XXXX docile. Any breakthroughs of the barriers are to be immediately contained using a D-class personnel given a claw tool at least 5 meters long.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a species of centipedes similar, to the Scolopendra heros. It generally varies in size from about 1.5 to 5 meters and is typically dark grey in hue. They are commonly found in water and waste pipes in residential areas, usually in faucets and shower heads. When water in the faucet which the instance of SCP-XXXX is resting within is turned on, SCP-XXXX will begin to vibrate madly and spin its abdomen pieces around, which will increase not only it's internal temperature but the temperature around itself too. This often will melt through the faucet and burn the user heavily, from which SCP-XXXX will feast upon on the burnt flesh and attempt to scramble back down into the pipe.
Addendum:
Any attempts to make direct contact with SCP-XXXX will always result in lethal burns, as it will latch onto any out stretched limb and crawl all over the body. Due to the nature of water filters and personals wells being more common nowadays in a majority of countries, sightings of SCP-XXXX have become increasingly scarce in high risk areas such as rich suburbs and boarding schools, which has greatly decreased documentation upon the subject. Areas in which instances have been sighted in the past are to be kept under great scrutiny and checked upon bi-monthly for signs of specimen returning or developing way to bypass modern water filters. Cities █████,██████, and ███████ in India are to be kept under extreme scrutiny and sightings are to be explained as a happenstance of punishment from Shiva.
