An SCP-4637-1 instance during a period of inactivity
Item #: 4673
Object Class: Safe
Threat Level: Green
Special Containment Procedures: The ████ Farm has been purchased by private Foundation assets and now serves as the home for several Researchers and Agents in charge of containment/study. The connections between SCP-4673 and the outside are continuously monitored for any intrusion, inward or outward, and any creature within SCP-4673 that comes within 10 meters of an entrance is to be turned away with minimum necessary force. During Sigma events the population levels of all creatures within SCP-4673 should be monitored and possibly adjusted to maintain the current ecosystem.
Description: SCP-4673 is an extradimensional location located alongside the town of ███████, Ohio, United States. SCP-4673 is accessible via two drainage culverts under the ████ Farm, as well as travelling west-to-east along a ½-kilometer track in the orchard on the property behind the main farmhouse. The approximate physical boundary of SCP-4673 from within lies 22.3 kilometers from the main entrance location in the orchard. Humans and drones that travel beyond this radius have an uncertain chance of being teleported back to the real world at the edge of the ████ Farm, being teleported into one of the two drainage culverts leading between SCP-4673 and the outside world, returning to the point of origin, or disappearing entirely.
SCP-4673 is home to several types of anomalous fauna, all but one of which have no normal Earthly analogue.
| SCP-4673-1 "Wooden Scarecrows" |
Vaguely humanoid creatures composed of varying types of wood. Instances are capable of movement at high speed, regrowing severed (but not burned) limbs, low vocalizations, and appear to have moderate intelligence. |
SCP-4673-1 instances remain in packs of 4-10 when moving, but will periodically separate from their pack and remain motionless for extended durations, sometimes days at a time, waiting for SCP-4673-2 instances to land on them. When several SCP-4673-2 have landed on them, the SCP-4673-1 instance will immediately entrap them with fast-moving, poisonous creeper vines. SCP-4673-1 instances appear to use SCP-4673-2 as a primary food source. |
| SCP-4673-2 “Moldcrows” |
Similar in size and shape to Corvus corax, but covered in an unidentified mold and possessing larger, sharper beaks. SCP-4673-2 instances are not harmed by the mold growing on them, and it is generally impossible to remove the mold from an instance without severely injuring it. SCP-4673-2 instances display little intelligence. |
SCP-4673-2 can sometimes be found singly or in pairs, but commonly appear in groups of hundreds at minimum. They sometimes hunt SCP-4673-4, but the majority of their nutrition comes from consuming deceased instances of SCP-4673-1. |
| SCP-4673-3 "Lindwurms" |
Snakelike creatures averaging 3.5 meters in length, covered in scales comparable in strength to light vehicle armour and possessing two three-jointed arms ending in large claws. Most instances are shades of green and brown, and approximately one-half of observed instances possess vestigial webbed wings. SCP-4673-3 instances display little intelligence. |
SCP-4673-3 are mostly found at night, separately from any other creature within SCP-4673, and actively flee from SCP-4673-1. SCP-4673-3 are known to nest and lay eggs underneath the buildings within SCP-4673. The only observed pack behavior between multiple SCP-4673-3 instances is in defense of their eggs, which they will readily attack all intruders to protect. |
| SCP-4673-4 "Wood-eating Wolves" |
Large quadrupedal lupine creatures bearing a passing resemblance to Canis Rufus, though averaging 230 cm in length. SCP-4673-4 possess unusually powerful jaws and teeth that are capable of biting through or gnawing upon the limbs of SCP-4673-1 instances. SCP-4673-4 display significant intelligence and may be capable of advanced communication between instances. |
SCP-4673-4 exclusively travel in packs of 4-6, and are usually seen hunting SCP-4673-1. For an unknown reason, SCP-4673-4 rarely attack inactive SCP-4673-1 instances, preferring to prey upon isolated members of moving groups or to force larger groups to split apart, at which point they will attack the weakest members. After killing an SCP-4673-1 instance, SCP-4673-4 will gnaw on its limbs for some time before abandoning the body to SCP-4673-2. SCP-4673-4 appear to innately fear SCP-4673-2, as they will flee and seek a place to hide upon seeing or hearing and incoming flock and do not willingly approach any SCP-4673-1 with SCP-4673-2 nearby. |
There are four buildings within SCP-4673, three of which are near-identical copies of extant structures on the ████ Farm.
The main farmhouse in SCP-4673 has no anomalous attributes other than being home to numerous instances of SCP-4673-3. A heavy layer of dust covers all surfaces, and the electrical system has no power. Appliances supplied with power via generators function normally, but neither the television nor the radio are able to connect to outside signals, instead producing loud static with occasional random phrases in Romance and Chinese languages.
The stables, located 0.8 km from the main house, are home to a miniaturized weather system that causes near-permanent rainfall and moderate temperatures within the stables regardless of external conditions, with sporadic lightning and large amounts of fog and mist during Sigma Events. Due to the considerable precipitation, large numbers of SCP-4673-1 instances commonly stay inside the stables and are believed to reproduce within during Sigma Events.
The grain silo is entirely non-anomalous but is in a state of moderate disrepair, allowing SCP-4673-2 to enter and exit through holes in its upper walls. As such, it is commonly home to many instances, sometimes several hundred at a time.
The fourth building, which lacks a real-world counterpart, is roughly comparable to an underground mausoleum with a small hut over the entrance. Directly inside the entrance is an antechamber with no unusual properties. The corridor presumably connecting the antechamber to the main chamber, however, is home to four SCP-4673-1 that exhibit behavior unseen in other instances. While normal instances ignore researchers and do not react to most attempts to interact, the SCP-4673-1 within the corridor are highly aggressive and impede all attempts to pass them with extreme force, ignoring and regenerating injuries as severe as severed limbs or bullet damage to the torso in under a minute. While the contents of the far chamber are currently unknown due to the aggression with which the SCP-4673-1 instances guard it, scans have revealed that the local Hume level drops significantly along the corridor, reaching as low as 0.3 Humes within 2 meters of the far door.
Three times over the last month a period of unusual behavior, lasting between three hours and two days, has been observed across all SCP-4673 inhabitants and certain aspects of the overall anomaly. Given the recurring nature of these events, they have been officially recognized as part of the anomaly's behavior. During Sigma Events,
- SCP-4673-1, including inactive instances, will enter a level of high activity and enter the stables or the mausoleum. While the activities of SCP-4673-1 within the mausoleum are unknown (as during this time all instances within the structure adopt the behavior of the four "guardian" SCP-4673-1), the fact that the number of SCP-4673-1 that leave the stables at the end of a Sigma Event exceeds the number that were present at the beginning suggests a form of reproduction, though it has not been directly observed.
- SCP-4673-2 will group together in flocks of several hundred and continuously circle over the inner region of SCP-4673 at an average radius of one kilometer from the point of origin. At this time they do not interact with any SCP-4673-1 or -4, and instead will randomly enter rigid formations and appear to dive-bomb unseen targets.
- SCP-4673-3 will seek out the highest available location, scaling vertical walls and climbing trees but not piling on each other. Once each instance has reached the highest point available to it, all SCP-4673-3 will collectively begin producing vocalizations similar to the rattling of rattlesnakes, organized to produce harmonies similar to a percussion-heavy orchestral theme. The nature of this "music" changes in each event and has so far been similar to Beethoven's symphonies, Hurrian Hymn No. 6, and music produced by the Beatles.
- SCP-4673-4 will flee beyond the 22.3-kilometer boundary and enter long grass or tree cover, becoming impossible to locate or observe by any available means. Three instances, however, will remain in the inner area and instead pace around the three largest concentrations of SCP-4673-3 for the duration of the Event.
- Other behavior: The radio in the farmhouse will begin to continuously play music making heavy use of brass and strings but with no specific style. None of the music recorded so far corresponds to extant pieces. The weather system in the stables converts fog and intermittently produces lightning, and the grain silo's interior becomes entirely dark.
Update Regarding Behavior of SCP-4673-1 and SCP-4673-2 Instances
- SCP-4673-1 now roam SCP-4673 during Sigma Events, but retain the aggression of the "guardian" instances within the Mausoleum. All Foundation assets are to evacuate SCP-4673 as quickly as possible at the beginning of Sigma Events.
- SCP-4673-2 now consistently flock in groups of 50-100 around all entrances to SCP-4673, even during Sigma Events. While the rest retain previous behavior, the changes in behavior have reportedly unnerved staff and instances have occasionally dive-bombed unaware personnel passing through the main entrance. Caution is advised.
In light of new developments, object class upgrade to Euclid is pending, with alert for possible Keter-level behaviors.

SCP-4673-1 instances appear to use SCP-4673-2 as a primary food source. All SCP-4673-1 instances currently react with violence when a human comes within 2 meters, and attempt to subdue the targets of their aggression and subsequently drag them into the mausoleum. Nine personnel have been lost in this manner; destruction via high-caliber bullets and incineration is a high priority for all SCP-4673-1 instances that have captured or engaged personnel. Attempts at significant population reduction have proven counterproductive, as they prematurely trigger Sigma Events, after which the SCP-4673-1 population has returned to its original size. |

Similar in size and shape to Corvus corax, but covered in an unidentified mold and possessing larger, sharper beaks. During Sigma Events, all SCP-4673-2 will react with immediate hostility to any humans attempting to combat SCP-4673-1 and dive-bomb them, using extremely sharp beaks and talons or cut or gouge out eyes and exposed flesh. While ranged weaponry is effective, their high speed and numbers make anything short of explosives or flamethrowers impractical. |
| SCP-4673-3 "Lindwurms" |
Snakelike creatures averaging 3.5 meters in length, covered in scales comparable in strength to light vehicle armour and possessing two three-jointed arms ending in large claws. SCP-4673-3 will rarely deviate from previous behaviors and teleport out of SCP-4673 to capture a human from the outside and drag the body back in. In this behavior, affected SCP-4673-3 instances display far greater intelligence, strength, speed, and durability than normal. |
| SCP-4673-4 "Wood-eating Wolves" |
Large quadrupedal lupine creatures bearing a passing resemblance to Canis Rufus, though averaging 230 cm in length. Those SCP-4673-1 that do not enter either structure roam the grounds of SCP-4673, sometimes spontaneously appearing outside the anomaly. When outside the anomaly, SCP-4673-1 instances display vastly increased speed, strength, and growth rates to the extent of being able to catch up to, stop, and rip apart armored cars with rapidly-growing roots. Such instances will attempt to collect multiple humans and eventually drag them into SCP-4673's mausoleum. As instances do not display vastly increased durability against fire and explosives outside the anomaly and suffer a major reduction in healing/regeneration rates, flamethrowers and incendiary-payload rocket launchers are advised for expedient neutralization.
- SCP-4673-2 will group together in flocks of several hundred and continuously circle over the inner region of SCP-4673 at an average radius of one kilometer from the point of origin. The nature of this "music" changes in each event and has so far been similar to Beethoven's symphonies, Hurrian Hymn No. 6, and music produced by the Beatles is consistently similar to "menacing" music from movie soundtracks, albeit higher-pitched.
- SCP-4673-4 will flee beyond the 22.3-kilometer boundary and enter long grass or tree cover, becoming impossible to locate or observe by any available means form into packs of precisely 21 each and attempt to breach containment via the point of origin. While relatively easy to repel with high-caliber bullets, attempts to deploy fire-based or explosive weaponry against them result in injured instances rapidly mutating to become larger and faster. Three instances, however, will remain in the inner area and instead pace around the three largest concentrations of SCP-4673-3 for the duration of the Event.
- Other behavior: The radio in the farmhouse will begin to continuously play music making heavy use of low brass and cello, with a style commonly described as "creepy" or "unnerving". None of the music recorded so far corresponds to extant pieces. The weather system in the stables converts to a fog seemingly intermixed with VX nerve gas and intermittently produces lightning. At this time, the grain silo's interior becomes entirely dark, and is impossible to exit without outside assistance.
On 15/08/19, three days after an major change in the behavior of SCP-4673-1 and -2, an extended radio transmission was detected on the 1420 MHz hydrogen frequency, originating from within SCP-4673.
00:00: Sounds similar to audio renditions of radio emissions from Saturn's magnetic field.
01:46: The voice of an adult male says "Hello? Is anyone out there? I need help. Please!". Speaker's voice expresses considerable distress.
01:53: Several seconds of silence.
01:56: Sounds of a large object falling and breaking wood or bone underneath it. This is immediately followed by the voice from before screaming for nearly a minute.
02:49: A different voice is heard saying "The place outside of worlds."
02:52: The sounds from 00:00 resume.
04:35: The initial male voice says "Please, help me. I need you to find me. Please!"
04:44: Extremely loud audio distortion begins.
05:57: The second voice is heard saying "The mind alone cannot escape."
[This transmission loops for 46 repetitions before changing to a continuous audio distortion.]
