Item #: SCP-3289
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: Scp-3289-A is contained in an artificially built cave as the crimson lotus seeds cannot float very high. This is required because the lotus seed can only fertilize in human tissue.
Description: Scp-3289-A is a lotus flower the colour of crimson that will sometimes drip a liquid that closely resembles blood but is instead a highly corrosive liquid capable of dissolving titanium in all but 5 seconds known as scp-3289-B. Scp-3289-A will ,about every 5 seconds, flap its petals and release floating seeds known as scp-3289-C.
Addendum: There have been several tests on scp-3289. Here are some of them now: the first test was on a D-class called James Nimo who was given a flask and a gas mask. he was given the gas mask because if anyone breathes in any of scp-3289-C then tiny versions of scp-3289-A known as scp-3289-E will sprout through the flesh of the victims until one sprouts in the victims oesophagus and choke them to death. he was also given instructions to collect some of scp-3289-B in the flask. he was then instructed to drink scp-3289-B within seconds he complained of feeling ill. Within a minute his extremity's had melted off. by 10 minutes he was no more than a puddle on the floor.
The next test was conducted with a D-class by the name Susie Jenna who was given tweezers and instructions not to actually touch the petals because that might bring the seeds into the foundation which would surely be the end of the foundation. Here's how it went: she went into the chamber while trying not to breathe for she was not given a gas mask. she tor a whole petal but had to breathe and very soon the first flower sprouted out of her arm she ran to the door but that was her worst mistake yet for that made her breathe more thus accelerating the death process she just reached the door before dying after 12 hours a guard equipped with a gas mask retrieved the sample.
the petal was studied and studied until they found that its composition was no different to a normal lotus flower aside from the glands that must produce scp-3289-B. The scp-3289-E are incapable of producing seeds so there will only ever be one scp-3289-A.
There have been 2 termination tests with scp-3289-A. The first 1 was with a flame-thrower. A researcher with a gas mask brought a flame-thrower she torched scp-3289-A until it was literally a pile of dust. The next day the lotus was back and the dust gone. The second termination test had a large amount of C4. it was detonated. a deafening bang. Scp-3289-A was completely gone with no evidence it ever existed. by the end of the week scp-3289-A was back. There is no escape.
