SCP-XXXX pacing in its chamber.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a standard humanoid containment chamber, adjacent to a viewing room. SCP-XXXX is to be monitored 24/7 from the adjacent viewing room. When swapping monitors, one entity containing an endoskeleton is to be dropped into the subject’s containment chamber from a chute on the ceiling. The designated monitors must swap places before SCP-XXXX has completed deboning the entity.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity approximately 2 meters in height. The subject is wearing white attire, and has a plastic bag tied around its head. The subject carries a brown handbag, which also appears to be anomalous.
SCP-XXXX can translocate while not within a 4-meter radius of a person or within a line of sight. As of 04/19/2018, translocation distance and position are unpredictable.
SCP-XXXX actively seeks entities containing endoskeletons. Once acquired, the subject will begin deboning the organism and storing the bones in its handbag. Storage size of the handbag is currently unknown (See addendum). While deboning, SCP-XXXX is unwilling to translocate and can be left unmonitored. SCP-XXXX will debone an organism until every bone has been collected.
Addendum: SCP-XXXX’s handbag has been documented containing over 492 deer skeletons. The bag has been documented as a spacial anomaly and requires further testing.
Test A – 02/09/2018
Subject: D-9968
Procedure: Remove the brown handbag
Results:D-9968 was killed and fully deboned within 47 seconds of contact with SCP-XXXX.
Analysis: Procedure failed, implementing loss prevention procedures.
Test B – 02/10/2018
Subject: D-9969
Procedure: Remove the brown handbag. D-9969 is hooked up to a harness and is armed with a 4-amp taser.
Results:D-9969 was attacked by SCP-XXXX. D-9969 successfully electrocuted SCP-XXXX with the provided taser, and was simultaneously pulled out by the harness. D-9969 sustained injuries that resulted in the loss of his thumb.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX reacts strongly to electricity.
D-9969's left hand x-ray post-attack.
SCP-XXXX when first spotted 17 miles off the shore of ████, Japan.
Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Truculent
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be stored in a 3x3x3 meter airtight steel container with internal water sensors, submerged .25 nautical leagues under the ████ Ocean in Bunker ████. SCP-XXXX's container should be anchored down with four steel cords, each 5 inches in diameter.
Because SCP-XXXX is not sentient, breaches in containment are rare and almost exclusively due to human error, sea life, or deep sea natural disasters and/or effects (Such as earthquakes or erosion). In the event of a breach in containment, a team of trained Class D scuba personnel will be flown out to make any necessary repairs to the container or re-contain SCP-XXXX. If the Class D personnel fail to re-contain SCP-XXXX or repair its container, Mobile Task Force Gamma-6 is to be deployed on-site and take extensive measures to keep SCP-XXXX secured and contained.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a meteorite with an unknown language written in fine print in each crater. It has a volume of approximately eight cubic meters, is gray in color, and is has been dated to be over 2 billion years old. When SCP-XXXX is exposed to specific gaseous elements, (including oxygen, hydrogen, radon, and ████) it adds one proton to each atom (for example, oxygen would be converted into a stable fluorine atom). It is not yet confirmed where SCP-XXXX acquires these protons.
Addentum XXXX-01
Elements that have been converted directly by SCP-XXXX are not affected for a second time after the conversion (If oxygen is converted to fluorine, the same fluorine cannot be converted into neon by SCP-XXXX, etc.)
Addentum XXXX-02
While in a sealed room full of oxygen, subjects exposed to SCP-XXXX often begin to feel light-headed within the first five seconds of exposure. Soon after, subjects begin to hallucinate and turn red from oxygen deprivation and a fluorine inhalant overdose. The record survival time of any Class D personnel is forty nine seconds. Further experiments have been run on SCP-682. Results show SCP-XXXX has no effect on SCP-682 (Except for increased Epinephrine levels present in SCP-682).
Dr. ████ Test Log XXXX-01 - 12/09/██
Element: Oxygen.
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was placed in an empty 1000 cubic meter airtight room (An unused lot in Site ████) pumped and with pure oxygen.
Results: The oxygen content in the room rapidly decreased, along with a rapid increase in fluorine.
Analysis: The room was deprived of oxygen and filled with fluorine within ten seconds. At this rate, it could completely fill the entirety of New York City with fluorine in less than two days.
Dr. ████ Test Log XXXX-02 - 12/12/██
Element: ████.
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was placed in the same empty 1000 cubic meter airtight room pumped and with ████.
Results: The ████ content in the room immediately turned into a very dense gas, which emits a strong electromagnetic pulse.
Analysis: All power to the left wing of Site ██ Bunker ████ was lost, and auxiliary power generators were immediately activated, and were immediately shut down again by the gas. SCP-████ was brought on-site to neutralize the gas and get the facility back in working order. There will be no further testing between ████ and SCP-XXXX until approved and relocated by an O5 council member.
Dr. ████ Test Log XXXX-03 - 12/16/██
Element: Radon.
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was placed in an empty 1000 cubic meter airtight room (Again, an unused lot in Site ████) pumped and with pure radon.
Results: The Room almost immediately began to solidify into francium, rendering the facility gas sensors useless.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX converted the radon at the same pace as oxygen. Results were one in the same with previous hypotheses (The room was heated to 30°C to melt the francium to a liquid state, and was drained into multiple storage containers (Over a period of one week) for later testing. SCP-XXXX was recovered and placed in a steel water tank and sealed off. Further tests will take place in a smaller facility building (located on Site ██) to prevent prolonged removal of metallic substances).
Dr. ████ Test Log XXXX-04 - 12/23/██
Element: Hydrogen.
Procedure: SCP-XXXX was placed in an empty 10 cubic meter airtight room (Testing facility in Site ████) pumped and with pure hydrogen.
Results: The hydrogen rapidly turned into helium (In approximately 0.1 seconds), as expected.
Analysis: The room was deprived of hydrogen and filled with helium (which allows for a quick and cheap way to acquire helium, besides waiting for the nuclear decay of uranium).
Incident Report I562-C
██/██/██, Site ██, Bunker ████
At 9:13:02 pm, a Japanese fishing boat named 真実 (Truth) pulls in SCP-XXXX 17 miles off the shore of ████, Japan, and radios in about their finding.
By 9:18:54 pm, communication to the boat had been lost, and the 海上保安庁 (Or Maritime Safety Agency) had been deployed.
9:25:03 pm, the Maritime Safety Agency had discovered the boat had been abandoned, and the net used to hoist in SCP-XXXX appeared to have been cut open with a knife, allowing it to sink to the ocean floor.
9:43:12 pm, all bodies were recovered, and the autopsy proves they died from a fluorine inhalant overdose.
10:19:19 pm, SCP-XXXX was recovered and stored in a large household fish tank.
6:53:11 am, SCP-XXXX had been transported to the SCP Facility.
2:05:40 pm, SCP-XXXX was relocated to Site ██ in Bunker ████.
This is a work in progress SCP and is open to critiques, tips, corrections, and pointers.
Item #: SCP-2XXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2XXX should be locked in a standard humanoid containment room with a palladium-based metallic glass sunroof, located in Site-███. Two cameras equipped with thermal detection and should be placed in the opposing corners of the ceiling, continuously panning the cell. A set of speakers should be placed in the remaining two corners. There should be no artificial or "man-made" visible light shining into SCP-2XXX's cell. In the event of a camera malfunction, 2 Class D personnel will be escorted to SCP-2XXX's containment room and will be given instructions on how to fix the cameras by on-site engineers through the cell speakers. During the day, the cell will be lit up by sunlight through the sunroof. In the event of a failure during the night, the selected Class D personnel will equipped with a gas torch (hooked up to a gas line leading outside the cell) with a tempered glass bulb.
Description: SCP-2XXX is a humanoid figure, roughly 3 meters in length, weighing approximately 62 kilograms. SCP-2XXX's joints on its appendages are inverted, and are facing the incorrect direction in relation to humans. Its flesh is mostly dark blue and black, with some rings much like Lampropeltis triangulum (Milk Snake) along its vertebral column. Its eyes are roughly twice the size of the average human's eyes, and resembles those of a snake. Its mandibles can unhook from its upper jaw, allowing its mouth to expand up to 5 times its normal size. The life form has been observed running on its hind legs, at speeds ranging from 15-███ KPH. Aside from running, SCP-2XXX has been observed crawling at high speeds on all four appendages, near doubling its max recorded speed on its hind legs.
Multiple x-rays have been taken for SCP-2XXX, all returning inconclusive. The creature sheds its epidermis every 6 months, allowing for much safer testing of the creature's DNA and organic makeup. Tests have shown a very dense amount of carbon in the epidermis, which has been concluded to be the reasoning for the inconclusive x-rays.
SCP-2XXX is observed to be provoked upon seeing man-made visible light. During the time SCP-2XXX is provoked, it is referred to as SCP-2XXX-1. Any living subject that is seen by SCP-2XXX wielding a flashlight, lantern or any other man-made light source have been observed being swallowed whole by SCP-2XXX-1, being torn or ripped into multiple segments, and paralyzed from the neck down, in which case SCP-2XXX-1 will place its victim's body in a pile, which it uses as a nest or bed. (Studies have shown that natural light sources such as the sun, fire, and light produced naturally through organic chemical reactions (such as those from Lampyridae (Lightning Bugs) or Arabidopsis (Mouseear Cress)), do not provoke SCP-2XXX, and are therefore used to help light up the cell, and the observation rooms surrounding it). After exposing SCP-2XXX to man-made/artificial light, it's state of "rage" will not subside for a maximum of one minute and fifteen seconds after the light is turned off, or until its eyes are completely covered by an opaque material.
(It is also to be noted that SCP-2XXX has been observed to growl, hum, and mimic sounds heard from other creatures.)
Interview
Interviewed: James G. Iacovelli
Interviewer: Dr. Isaiah █████
Foreword: Mr. Iacovelli is a spelunker who was one of the first to witness and survive an encounter from SCP-2XXX-1 while illegally exploring an unmapped region of Lechuguilla Cave, NM.
<Begin Log, 16:00, 11/██/199█ >
Dr. Isaiah █████ : So, Mr. Iacovelli, what persuaded you to leave the marked trails and trespass into an unmapped portion of the cave?
James G. Iacovelli (visibly nervous): W-Well, my best friend ████ and I heard someone faintly wheezing and groaning, like t-they where in distress or s-something, s-so we went to see if someone needed help.
Dr. Isaiah █████ : What did you do after that?
James G. Iacovelli: I helped him up to a n-narrow opening about ten feet high, where we noticed the sound was coming from, t-then he pulled me up with him. We shuffled and ducked our way through the c-crack, and appeared in an open tunnel, which was pitch black. We could still hear the noises, so we yelled out to see if anyone needed help. That is when the sound stopped, and it went silent. Then ████ and I turned on our headlamps to see if we could find the source, which is when ████ pointed his h-headlamp directly on it. It quickly swiveled its head around, staring ████ down with those beady eyes. It stood up on its…on those god damned hind legs… and…and it fucking grabbed ████ right by the hips and scarfed him down whole.
Dr. Isaiah █████ : I see…so how did you escape the creature? As shown by numerous tests it has a max speed of ███ KPH. This truly seems like a near impossible feat.
James G. Iacovelli (Seeming to have calmed down): I ran for the crack while it was distracted with █████, and I dumped my bag. It began chasing me, squeezing its body through the opening in the rocks. I began throwing everything I had at him, including my water bottle, camera, and most notably my headlamp. It immediately reached out and caught my headlamp. It crushed the battery with its thumb, and threw the remains at my shoulder, fracturing my scapula. I tore off my speckled t-shirt and threw it over its head, covering its eyes. It seemed to calm down, and then it finally laid down silently in the cave floor. I ran out of the cave to get a signal, and called the police. I pointed them inside, and described what had happened. They nervously and hastily called out another unit to assist them. An unmarked black transport vehicle arrived, which I could only assume now as property of the SCP Foundation. A group of five tactically armored men exited the vehicle, with patches across their backs that read Omega-7. They quickly went into the cave, and didn't return for over an hour. Eventually, two men and that thing returned from the cave (The t-shirt was still draped around the creature’s head), and they forced it into the back of the vehicle, abruptly driving off.
Dr. Isaiah █████ : Thank you for sharing your experience, Mr. Iacovelli. I assume you do know the laws concerning the sharing of information not yet declassified by ██████████?
James G. Iacovelli: Yes, doctor. Thank you for inviting me.
<End Log, 16:10>
Closing Statement: James G. Iacovelli was escorted outside of the facility to the private parking area. He was transported home by an on-site security unit, and since has not been in contact with the SCP foundation in over a decade.
