Description:
The SCP is a green 7 foot tall humanoid creature. Its skin is made of tough scales. It also has a tail, a fin running from its back to its tail, claws, and strong forearms. Its nickname is fittingly "The Lizard". The SCP is bipedal although during hunting it may use all fours. Through various tests its been discovered if you remain calm, it will not attack you. It will only lash out if you make sudden movements or deliberately make it annoyed on purpose. If it does attack you the results are often fatal. Methods of killing include but are not limited to: clawing/biting the brain, frontal lobe, neck and torso, strangulation and decapitation. Although alternative methods have been observed. Attacks have a 90% fatality rate.
It also appears the SCP can regenerate lost limbs/digits/body parts through a process not fully understood by the Foundation thus far, however scientists have concluded its similar to normal lizards. This process takes 1 day on average to complete. The SCP has been regenerating as much as 78% of their body thus far. The subject is also cold blooded like normal lizards and can climb walls.
It entered Foundation custody on April,██th,201█. The month before on March █2th,201█ a media article was published by a representative for █████ Inc. Hunting Grounds in [REDACTED] Texas The article claimed there to be a shortage of food and that hunting would cease in 2 weeks. The hunters who remained all reported seeing glowing red eyes of a "lizard man" as they described it. Most of the reports claimed to see the lizard with a dead deer, and then proceeded to [DATA EXPUNGED] It. After the media reports could be given some credibility, the Foundation was dispatched immediately, calling in MTF Unit —— . Over the next week the MTF unit worked hard investigating and locating until they finally tracked the beast and detained it, re-naming it SCP-XXX. A false media article was also created, claiming it to be a hoax and making a undercover operative take the blame. After that it was almost entirely forgotten by the public and lives resumed to normal.
