Item#: SCP-XXXX
Class: Safe Reclassified: Euclid
Dead instance of SCP-XXXX-1 under a microscope
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 1 x 1m modified Bio-container reinforced with 5cm kevlar pads at Site 104, Bio Division. Security box should be pressurized at 750 psi as to prevent growth. Additionally, there should be a miniature air-lock system mounted to the side of the box. This airlock is used for feeding and extracting SCP-XXXX. As a potentially sentient parasite, extreme caution is advised when testing or feeding SCP-XXXX due to its nature and microscopic size.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a potentially sentient parasite of yet to be determined origins. SCP-XXXX is approximately 3.5cm long, and infects through orifices. SCP-XXXX moves similar to that of a bacteria, drifting through the air. Subjects exposed to the SCP-XXXX through physical contact with bare skin will slowly be transformed. The effects of SCP-XXXX are transformative, such as that of SCP-409. Subjects afflicted by SCP-XXXX are slowly turned into a paper-like substance.
This process will take place over the span of 27 days after exposure, advancing exponentially every day. During the first week, subjects report feelings of dry and itchy skin all over their body. It is noted as extremely irritating. During the 2nd and 3rd week of contamination the subject will report parts of their body losing the feeling of skin, and into that of a paper-like substance. The subject reports mild to extreme sudden migraines, with the side effect of gaining an amount of knowledge relating to the amount of pain experienced. Any knowledge gained during this time will be that of literature found in a common library, such as advanced Algebra and Calculus, or literary analyses of Shakespeare. During the last 6 days of contamination, subjects will continue to experience the previously listed symptoms, with the exception of the severity increasing exponentially. In the last 24 hours, the subject will experience no pain and will begin the final transformation. In this final transformation the subject’s body will start to transform into paper. The method by which the parasite does this is yet to be determined. Edit: This final transformation is confirmed to be the parasites method of feeding, absorbing all nutrients and minerals found in the subject. See test log 1. After the last 24 hours, the subject’s body will have been fully transformed into paper and ink words will begin to appear on the subject. After an additional 24 hours, the subject will be confirmed dead and the words around the body will have been completed. Upon further analysis the ink on the subject describes the subject life up until the point of contact with SCP-XXXX. Edit: Ink is confirmed to be SCP-XXXX's excriment, comprising of warped DNA from the subject. See test log 1.
Edit: SCP-XXXX should be fed on a bi-weekly basis with a meal consisting of 3 small mice. Subject must be fed within a month of last feeding to prevent potential containment breach.D-class personnel that feed SCP-XXXX must be wearing a level B hazmat suit to minimize risk of infection. Every feeding session should be overseen by at least 2 class B personnel. D-class personnel should be sterilized before and after contact with SCP-XXXX in a vacuum chamber. See test log 2.
Additional: SCP-XXXX was discovered in a underground lab in ████, Russia during a drug raid of the complex. SCP-XXXX was turned over to the Foundation after the related SWAT teams were afflicted by SCP-XXXX, gartering the attention of the Foundation. Foundation personnel administered heavy doses of class A amnestics to the police force involved as well as articles and news stories made to dispel any rumors of a new disease, or objects with anomalous properties.
Addendum: XXXX-A
Test Log 1: Subject was exposed to the effects of SCP-XXXX. The standard recorded process started and finished. However, after the death of the subject, they started to dissolve into what seemed like dust. After scanning the room with a strong UV to kill any remaining instances of SCP-XXXX, there were millions of instances found. Any other instances will be regarded to as SCP-XXXX-1. After testing, this has concluded that after killing it’s victim SCP-XXXX uses the body to reproduce.
Addendum: XXXX-B
Test Log 2: SCP-XXXX was left alone in its container for approximately 4 months. Towards the end of the 3rd month, SCP-XXXX was found attacking and ‘paper-ifying’ the walls of its containment unit. In a desperate attempt to get SCP-XXXX to calm down and stop attacking, research personnel, Dr. ███████ , found and threw a mouse into SCP-XXXX’s unit. SCP-XXXX immediately stopped attacking the wall and attacked the mouse, killing it at a much faster rate than its previous victims.SCP-XXXX was promptly moved into a temporary containment unit while the original was repaired. This testing concludes that SCP-XXXX could potentially be sentient, however it is believed that SCP-XXXX experiencing primal urges such as hunger. To prevent additional anger by SCP-XXXX, it should be fed 3 small mice on a bi-weekly basis.
While SCP-XXXX was in its temporary containment unit, the mouse was removed for testing. Strangely, SCP-XXXX’s ‘ink’ was still present, however the mouse's life was written in gibberish, and was indecipherable. The mouse was also found to be completely devoid of any liquids, nutrients, and minerals. While examining the ‘ink’, it was found to be a mixture of an unknown enzyme as well as mutated strands of the mouse’s DNA. After this rather long test, it is concluded that SCP-XXXX feeds on victims by draining them of vitamins. The ‘ink’ written on the victim describing their life seems to show up in the victim's native language. The ink is assumed to be excrement, with the enzyme being what dissolved the body, and creates secondary instances of SCP-XXXX.
//Request to change classification to Eulcid after Addendum XXXX-B
Approved
Request to terminate SCP-XXXX

SCP-XXXX could possibly even become an xk event should it get into the wrong hands. SCP-XXXX should be terminated as soon as possible.
