Special Containment Procedures: While the precise location of the nest cannot be found because of cognitive abilities, SCP-5930, SCP-5930-1 and the building both SCP’s inhabit is kept within a 60x60m cube, surrounding it completely with titanium, tungsten and graphene walls. These walls must be [Data Expunged] meters thick. At least 20 personnel are to be on site-1010 with 2 class-D personnel on standby at all times. Any cracks or holes within the containment chambers are to be immediately reported to Dr. Noodle.
Description: SCP-5930 is a nest of creatures that have taken the form of fire ants. The exact location of the nest is impossible to find because of the mysterious cognitive ability of the nest, which can mask it if seen from the blind eye. Memory of this nest is forgotten 3 seconds after initial contact. This anomaly was found after a sudden drop in human activity around the area. After Agent-[REDACTED] found the nest, they immediately experienced it’s cognitive abilities and lost all memory about the location of the nest. The last point of contact was made after he made a remark of how there were ants carrying bodies into a fridge in the apartment. Shortly after contact was lost with Agent-[REDACTED], whose corpse was later found within the apartment, half eaten. For unknown reasons SCP-5930 seems to be more passive around the apartment they were found in. The origin of these creatures are currently unknown. The ants have been found to constantly look for food, most commonly fried food. SCP-5930-1 is an apartment in [DATA EXPUNGED], Switzerland roughly 10 metres wide, 7 metres long and 2.5 metres tall. The apartment is home to a colony of SCP-5930, the apartment seems to be able to pacify SCP-5930 of all harmful abilities other than it’s cognito-hazardous properties.
Breach log:
On the [DATA EXPUNGED] approximately [DATA EXPUNGED] SCP 5930 escaped containment through a small crack within the tungsten walls, subsequently killing [DATA EXPUNGED] personnel at site-1010, SCP-5930 were able to be lured back to containment by placing the corpse of D-97426 inside the apartment, this caused the ant colony to enter a feeding frenzy and brought back any SCP-5930 that had previously escaped containment. The breach was sealed after [DATA EXPUNGED] hours and SCP-5930 behaviour went back to normal.
Updates in containment procedures:
Hourly spot checks are to be made to check for any cracks within the containment chambers. [DATA EXPUNGED] Class-D personnel are to be kept on site incase of breach in containment, the class-D personnel are to be executed, laced with pheromones and placed inside the apartment in order to send the ants into a feeding frenzy and lure back the escaped SCP-5930.
MTF unit Demos have been placed at site-1010 incase of further breaches. 05 council members are currently discussing changing SCP-5930’s classification to Keter, but a decision has yet to be made.
