Item #: SCP-5123
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5123 is to be locked shut. Only level 3 personnel are to have the key. We must restrict access to new people we can't trust yet.
Description: SCP-5123 is a breadbox that when not used, looks relatively new. This breadbox supplies infinite bread. When the subject first opens it the box will have a fresh loaf of bread that seems to have just come out of the oven. If they take the bread it will taste like the best thing they have ever had. If it is closed the box and open it again it will no longer be fresh but it will just seem a day old. Even if they try to resist, after they eat the first loaf, they can't control themselves. After eating the loaf and closing and opening the box again the box will begin to age and the bread will start getting moldy. But the subject will keep eating it and repeating the process of opening and closing SCP-5123. But after days the subject will begin to grow mold on themselves. But they will not care, they will keep eating and eating and eating. Even when they are too sick to keep it in their stomach. If someone restrains the subject they will become aggressive and start viciously attacking whoever is restraining them. If the person who is restraining the subject is not wearing the protective gear they will become infected and become addicted to the bread as well.. SCP Members found SCP-5123 in a house in the woods with the corpses of a family all surrounding the box.
Addendum 1: 3 test subjects have been restrained. They all are locked in padded rooms and they never get better. If someone has to check on them they must wear protective gear for the subjects might try and attack the person.
Addendum 2: Our second test subject we decided to restrain when she was already beginning to mold. This apparently made the process of the molding speed up.
