Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, The Foundation decided not to contain SCP-XXXX on any sites, and instead, remotely monitor its activity. Unless instructed otherwise, all Foundation agents should avoid the cities found in the route of SCP-XXXX. Cover stories shall be made regarding the instances of SCP-XXXX-1, classifying it as a very dangerous and addictive drug, that can easily cause fatalities. These stories are to be forwarded to the affected cities and to the media. Citizens affected by SCP-XXXX are to be administered Class-A amnestics after questioning.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity with the appearance of an Arabic male. More specifically, SCP-XXXX appears to be a traveling spice trader, with traditional Arabic robes covering much of its body. SCP-XXXX has numerous bags filled with vials that contain instances of SCP-XXXX-1. These vials can also be found tied all over the body of SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX seems to roam the regions between North Africa and the Middle East.

SCP-XXXX is known to sell vials of SCP-XXXX-1 to people. Instances of SCP-XXXX-1 appear as finely grounded spice. SCP-XXXX requires no food or water to survive. Instead, SCP-XXXX survives by turning people into instances of SCP-XXXX-1.

When an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 is consumed, the subject gains some of the experiences and memories that the source of SCP-XXXX-1 had. Subjects also experience the feelings tied to those events with great intensity. The feelings usually last for about a minute, but the intensity of them does not diminsh after repeated consumption. The memories gained are usually the most special and important experiences of the source of the SCP-XXXX-1 instance. Subjects also reported to feel a taste that resembled the source of SCP-XXXX-1 when consumed.

SCP-XXXX seems to be drawn to people with interesting lives, who had experienced a series of unlikely or very special events, and preferes to turn these people into instances of SCP-XXXX-1. Other than events and experiences, interesting vocations, unusual hobbies and their combinations or special talents can also attract SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX can sense these people innately, and will appear in an approximately 10 km radius of the victim. It can be noted that 1 - 3 days before approaching the victim and turning it into SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX can be seen trading with other people in the vicinity. Fame and wealth seem to be less interesting to SCP-XXXX, as famous and rich people in the region frequented by SCP-XXXX remain unaffected by the entity.

SCP-XXXX follows a route consisting of numerous cities and villages, stretching from the western coast of Nort Africa to the Middle East, starting from the latter. Appearances of people meeting the criteria of SCP-XXXX can cause deviations in the route, and can cause the entity to appear in cities out of order. It seems that instead of backtracing from the end of the route, SCP-XXXX starts from the beginning each time. SCP-XXXX rarely leaves this route, as Foundation personnel only detected a few reports from Europe, and none from other continents such as Asia, America and Oceania. This lack of reports seem to indicate that SCP-XXXX has no knowledge of these continents.

SCP-XXXX seems to lure in its victims with its extraordinary, and possibly anumalous charismatic personality and persuasive skills. The anomality of these skills is further reinforced by the interview found in Addendum XXXX.2. When SCP-XXXX finishes the transformation of its current victim, it crumbles into a pile of the newly acquired SCP-XXXX-1 and dissappears. It is currently unknown where exactly SCP-XXXX goes after disappearing. SCP-XXXX reappears if a person meeting the its criteria appears in cities or villages near the previous incident, or if it needs to turn a victim into SCP-XXXX-1 in order to survive. SCP-XXXX avoids hunting in the same location twice in a row. SCP-XXXX seems to be able to survive months without the need to transform a person into SCP-XXXX-1.

Addendum XXXX.2 indicates that SCP-XXXX is capable of disappearing when endangered without the need to transform a victim. The difference is that instead of crumbling into a pile of SCP-XXXX-1, it crumbles into sand.

Addendum XXXX.2: The following operation was suggested by Dr. Bradbeer, in order to lure out SCP-XXXX for questioning and capture. Along with Dr. Bradbeer and four Foundation agents, a Class-D personnel was included in the party, who was considered to meet the criteria of SCP-XXXX. The Class-D personnel survived a bear attack and a car crash on his birthday, and he robbed numerous convinience stores, often with fatalities.
