Special Containment Procedures: SCP XXXX is currently contained in a locked room at Site 91's waste management complex. After testing showed SCP XXXX's potential as a cost effective method of waste disposal it was unanimously decided that SCP XXXX would be integrated into Site 91's waste management system as a way to help minimise cost and labor.

Description: SCP XXXX is a cardboard box measuring 40cmx40cmx40cm with the word "Lost" written on it in a black marker. Whenever a item or entity is placed within SCP XXXX the portion of that entity or item that is inside the confines of SCP XXXX will dematerialize following four seconds of inactivity. Entities who were only partially located inside of SCP XXXX during this process reported no pain and instead noted tingling sensation followed by a loss of balance and partial nausea¹.

Discovery: SCP XXXX spontaneously manifested by falling out of the sky in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, England on the ██/██/15. While SCP XXXX did not initially cause any damage, due to landing top first onto a house it slowly dematerialized a 40cm area of the roof causing it's discovery by a Miss Venetia Smith. The foundation was alerted when a series of posts about a "Magic box" surfaced on social media. Following further examination of the footage two foundation agents were dispatched to retrieve the object which was then transferred to Site 91 without incident.

Once SCP XXXX arrived at Site 91 Dr Hitchen was assigned to begin testing on the object.

Test A - 7/1/16

Subject: An Iron Cube measuring 5cmx5cmx5cm.
Procedure: D-4764 is to place the cube inside SCP XXXX and wait four seconds.
Results: the cube dematerialized after exactly four seconds leaving no trace. during the process no noise or visable process took place.
Analysis: The Item demanterialized exactly as displayed in the retrieved footage.

Test B - 8/1/16

Subject: A cup containing 500ml of water.
Procedure: D-4764 is to place the cup inside of SCP XXXX and wait four seconds.
Results: The cup dematerialized after four seconds.
Analysis: SCP XXXX appears to be able to dematerialize matter in multiple states.

Test C - 10/1/16

Subject: An undefined amount of liquid nitrogen.
Procedure: D-4764 is to be fitted with protective gear and is to be instructed to fill SCP XXXX with as much as they are able to do during the four second window.
Results: After the four second period SCP XXXX showed no signs of having come into contact with the liquid nitrogen.
Analysis: It appears that SCP XXXX is continually resetting it's internal environment resulting in any foreign objects being dematerialized.

Test D 17/1/16

Subject: A metal rod measuring 80cms in height.
Procedure: D-4764 is to place the rod into SCP XXXX to see if SCP XXXX dematerializes items totally only partially.
Results: D-2741 placed the rod into SCP XXXX as planned. After four seconds SCP XXXX dematerialized half of the rod before the other half fell in.
Analysis: SCP XXXX must only be able to dematerialize items inside of its box.

Test E 18/1/16

Subject: A tracker set in a vacuum sealed case.
Procedure: The Item is to be placed inside of SCP XXXX.
Results: Tracker system not detected.
Analysis: Items placed within SCP XXXX do not appear to move to another location.

+ Addendum

At approximately 6:00:00 BST a total of around 170,000 KGs of waste manifested above site 91 in a pile measuring 30 meters by 20 meters. All the waste was later confirmed to be that which had been sent into SCP XXXX however a single cardboard box was found on top of the pile with the words "and found" written on its right side².

Any matter that dematerializes from SCP XXXX instantaneously manifests inside of SCP XXXX-1. SCP XXXX-1 has been transported to the foundation's largest hazardous waste management facility and has saved site 91 a small fortune in waste disposal costs.

While SCP XXXX shortly had it's classification as thumial removed however the utilization of SCP-XXXX and XXXX-1 has saved site 91 from any financial difficulty caused by Incident-XXXX. Following this SCP XXXX continues to aid the foundation as the savings from it's waste material transportation has been substantial.
