This is my first Idea of my first SCP, I’ve read SCP’s for about a month straight prior to creating this one, I’d like to get it to the review stage if at all possible, and if i need to change things or if any person is uninteresting enough to warrant critique, I’d like to know. Thank you.

The following excerpt is a direct quote from the personal research log of one Doctor Henry █████. It is meant to act as a precursor to the rest of this file, as SCP-XXXX researched has ceased.

“Henry █████, research log day 74. The date is ██████, the testing of SCP-XXXX will stop today due to its unsafe nature and the severe risk it poses on the populations of the world. I’ve put in a request for immediate lock down and the foundation has approved my request. They will begin sealing this containment chamber and this entire facility in 30 minutes. I deeply regret the choices that have been made up to this point and continue to regret the choices I am currently making. When I was first assigned to be the primary researcher of SCP-XXXX and it’s inherent affects, I was overjoyed, I was being promoted from my previous work as an assistant tasked to taking care of SCP-999 as it roamed around. I soon realized that I was not up for the task, I have consistently and unwaveringly failed in every aspect of the word. In the first month following SCP-XXXX’s capture and subsequent transfer to this facility, I personally led 7 men to their deaths. Some would say D-Class personnel are monsters and you shouldn’t feel sorry for them, but I personally got to know these men. I believe that going forward the foundation should refrain from so brazenly sacrificing the lives of these men. These men had families, wives and children that they were snatched away from. But, I am getting off topic. It is my understanding that SCP-XXXX is wildly dangerous and possibly immortal. Any attempt to cut, smash, burn, electrocute, melt, or otherwise harm SCP-XXXX has been to no avail, apart from encounters in various tests that occurred prior to its transfer to this facility. It is my belief that if given the opportunity SCP-XXXX might have the ability to destabilize governments or destroy civilizations. It is not to be underestimated. I am afraid my time is now running out, as is the time of all staff currently operating at this base. I am the only one who knows it is being sealed today and all of us with it. I’m sorry. God I’m so so sorry. Forgive me Maria and tell the kids…”

Special Containment Procedures:

SCP-XXXX is known to escape conventional containment due to its perceived high intelligence and ability to create tools out of its own bones and viscera. Special containment procedures have included sealing its body in ice(breach), trapping its body under a sizable hydraulic press(assisted breach), and constant nervous system overload(current containment procedure). It’s current containment procedure consists of an electric chair reformatted with technology that electrically overstimulates its nervous system using needles(7.6 cm long, 4.23 mm diameter) inserted into specific points in it’s spinal cord and brain. This can be turned off using the Two-Man rule in which two authorized members of staff go to designated safe rooms on either side of the base. They must then turn two keys and press two buttons simultaneously to allow the deactivation of the neural overload system.

SCP-XXXX is also known to have low level psychic ability which has grown in its previous containment. Due to this, SCP-XXXX has been transferred to its own facility in the tundra of ████████████, Russia. Facility 23-B is a large quarry approximately 3 km deep with nearly perfectly vertical walls that are 1 km away from the main base on all sides. This facility has since been designated “The Cut” by certain foundation staff.

Description:

To the naked eye, SCP-XXXX is a humanoid male approximately 2.12 meters tall. It has no discernible features on its face or body similar to a mannequin. It’s skin is a pale pink color similar to that of Caucasian human skin and it has the appearance of a heavily malnourished man, with its skin seemingly stretched tightly across its muscles and bones. It has never been seen to wear clothing. It’s body is constantly and inexplicably in motion as if every molecule of its body is constantly vibrating. This motion can be impeded seemingly with no discomfort to SCP-XXXX and no adverse effects to the environment surrounding it.

SCP-XXXX does not need food or water to survive and when food is presented to it, SCP-XXXX will proceed to pick up the food and hold it in front of its head as if staring at it for anywhere from 3 minutes to 2 hours at which point it will become disinterested and place the food back on the plate it was presented on.

It was clear early on that SCP-XXXX is an extremely curious creature. Several items have been given to SCP-XXXX to see what it would do. With simple items SCP-XXXX would do the same thing it has been seen to do with food. With more complicated items such as complex puzzles, complex tools(telescopes, compasses, astrolabes), and clothing, it will first study the outside of the item and it’s possible functions then when every other option has been perceived, SCP-XXXX will dismantle the item piece by piece and study each individual piece. Often times if given the same item twice, SCP-XXXX will actively ignore the item the second time unless it seems significantly different from the first time he saw it. SCP-XXXX has been given restrictive access to higher forms of technology(smartphones, computers, tablets) that are not connected to the internet and have no way to be, and after studying every function, it will realize it is hindered and become frustrated, violently destroying the object.

As of now not much is known about the origins of SCP-XXXX, but it is believed that it is a member of an extradimensional race of creature that the SCP Foundation has run across before with a similar lack of anatomy or facial features. Based on this, it was inferred that SCP-XXXX was either trapped here by fellow members of it’s race or chose to stay here willingly to explore and discover all that our universe has to know.

*UPDATE*

On ██████ at ████ pm, facility 23-B(aka “The Cut”) will be filled with molten metal, sealing SCP-XXXX and all current personnel alive in solid steel. This is the consequence of a request put in by Doctor Henry █████ following an experiment in which it was discovered that given a complex enough structure, SCP-XXXX could separate the atoms of an item in an attempt to learn more about it.

The following is the capture report of SCP-XXXX, it describes the event in which one of our foundation MTF teams tracked and contained SCP-XXXX.

Capture Report #XXXX-A: "Initial Capture of The Curious Man"

Description:
The following is taken from a debriefing on the events that took place leading up to the capture of SCP-XXXX as stated by SGT. Harold ██████.
"On ██████ at ██████ pm(eastern time), myself and my team got a report that described a strange humanoid creature with a noticeable lack of facial features or genitals. it was reported by multiple eyewitnesses to be wandering around the woods of a semi-urban section of ███████, Missouri. We were sent to go and investigate the disturbance and what we found was wildly disturbing but nothing that isn’t normal for one of these operations. our team consisted of 14 men, all highly trained in dealing with paranormal and metaphysical threats. My men and I surrounded a field in the middle of the woods, in the center of the field there was a pile of all different types of flowers and plants from the surrounding area. They were picked apart and splattered with blood, next to them was a pile of dead animal carcasses that seemed to be ripped apart by a being with extreme strength. That’s when first contact with SCP-XXXX occurred, the creature was sitting in a pile of organs next to two corpses comparing them to one another, one was a small girl, maybe six or seven, she was completely mutilated. The other was an older boy, 15-17 is my guess, the creature seemed to have just started to tear him apart. That’s when my team realized the animal pile wasn’t just animals, it was children too. It was at this point the creature turned its faceless head towards us, we raised our weapons and warned it to come with us or we would shoot. After many attempts to communicate with the creature, it stood up and started very slowly walking towards us, we told it to stand down 3 times before I ordered my team to open fire. Before we could even blink, SCP-XXXX had made it clear across the 35-40 meter field and he started to rip the arms off of Ryan ██████, the only reason any of us survived was due to the bravery of Jonah ████. It was at this moment that Jonah realized we weren’t going to be able to bring this thing in or live through this encounter without something big, so before any of us could stop him he ran at the creature with a live grenade and when it exploded, pieces of Jonah were scattered across the field. SCP-XXXX was thrown into a tree and seemed to be temporarily disabled, that’s when we ran up and started to put the creature in binds. We then carried him out to the containment vehicle on the main road approximately half a kilometer away from the field. We finally made it to the containment vehicle, only for the creature to break loose and kill 3 more of us(Tyler ████████, Dylan ██████, and Phillip █████). We were only able to recapture him when a semi truck drove past on the main road where the creature was standing and hit it, crashing with a large explosion. The driver died on impact and SCP-XXXX was torn apart by the signifigant force of the impact and explosion. We carried pieces of SCP-XXXX to the truck placing them in ammunition containers, then we sped off for the nearest base where they encased it in ice after it had reconnected itself and healed damaged parts of it's own body."

The following are significant test reports documenting breakthroughs regarding the fundamental understanding of SCP-XXXX.

Object Test #09: “Baseball”

Description:
A baseball was placed on the floor in front of the neural overload chair in the containment chamber of SCP-XXXX. Shortly after, the power to the chair was cut. SCP-XXXX stood up, stayed still for 3 minutes, then he turned his head to face the walls the then floor as if he was looking around the room for a moment, spotted the ball, and picked it up, he turned the ball in his hand for 10 minutes. He then started throwing the ball around the room, the final count for how many times he threw the ball was 42. He then proceeded to pick at the stitching until it came loose then he pulled out the stitching and studied it. He then peeled off the leather casing of the ball and studied that as well. When he was done he studied the rubber core of the ball for about 20 minutes and then he dropped the ball and sat back down in the chair.
Significance:
This is the first recorded event we have of him pulling an object apart to study it. So far he has yet to attempt to study the chair, possible reasons for this are that he is afraid of the chair or possibly that he is satisfied with the amount of items we are giving him to study. We wish to test this more in depth once we have developed a fail-safe for his containment.

Object Test #22: “Laptop”

Description:
A laptop was placed on the floor in front of the neural overload chair in the containment chamber of SCP-XXXX. Shortly after, the power to the chair was cut. SCP-XXXX stood up, stayed still for 3 minutes, then he looked around the room for a moment, spotted the laptop and proceeded to pick it up and look at the outer casing. He then opened and closed it several times possibly to test the hinge. When he was ready he pressed every button once eventually getting to the power button, when the laptop booted it took him 10 minutes to figure out how to use it. He then opened every application of the laptop. After spending 4 hours or so looking through everything he could. He spent around 30 minutes seemingly trying to figure out why the internet browser was just an error page. He then threw the computer against the wall in a fit of sudden rage, then he almost instantly calmed down and sat back into his chair.
Significance:
This is the first time SCP-XXXX has exhibited any sort of emotional response and, although it’s rage, this is an incredible breakthrough. He also seemed to exhibit increased strength when he threw the laptop, as it shattered into pieces when it hit the wall. We have ordered D-Class personnel for testing, they should be arriving by helicopter shortly to “The Cut”.

Human Test #01: “Garret”

Time: ████ am
Description:
Garret ██████ was led in front of the neural overload chair in the containment chamber of SCP-XXXX. Shortly after, the power to the chair was cut. SCP-XXXX stood up, stayed still for 3 minutes, then he looked around the room for a moment, spotted Garret and proceeded to approach him. Garret became noticeably uncomfortable and started to squirm, then SCP-XXXX reached out to touch Garret. Garret immediately recoiled and ran for the door and started to bang loudly on it. The creature walked up behind Garret and started to touch him, Garret started hitting the creature and flailing around. SCP-XXXX put up with this behavior for a moment then he seemed to grow aggravated and in a split second he reached out and snapped Garret’s neck. Garret went limp and fell to the floor, SCP-XXXX then proceeded to pick garret up and feel around his body. It was then that our on-site MTF team entered the room and attempted to force SCP-XXXX into his chair, the chair was activated and SCP-XXXX was contained. SCP-XXXX killed 2 of our MTF members in the process.
Significance:
I feel great remorse for having allowed this test but we needed a baseline. Now we know almost certainly that if hindered, SCP-XXXX will act out aggressively. In future tests we will make it clear that our D-Class personnel MUST stay calm under all circumstances.

Human Test #7: “Cindy”

Cindy ██████ was led in front of the neural overload chair in the containment chamber of SCP-XXXX. Shortly after, the power to the chair was cut. SCP-XXXX stood up, stayed still for 3 minutes, then he looked around the room for a moment, spotted Cindy and proceeded to approach her. Before Cindy was allowed into the confinement chamber she was given specific instructions not to panic like the others, she listened. SCP-XXXX began to run his hands over her and at first she seemed terrified but eventually she calmed. SCP-XXXX removed her clothing and she didn’t fight it. She seemed as if she had started to enjoy this, he looked around her body and began to investigate her reproductive organs, starting with her ██████ and then her ██████. This is when SCP-XXXX started to stick his hand into her ██████, she didn’t seem to disagree with what SCP-XXXX was doing at first, possibly due to the lack of physical contact she received in her own confinement as a D-Class. He seemed to explore her for around 15 minutes before we noticed her face twist into a painful look as SCP-XXXX ripped a handful of organs out of her, first it was her ovaries which he studied intently as if to compare them to the memory he had of the small female child we found him studying in the field he was captured in. He then pulled out every organ in her body until he reached her heart, which he studied more intently than any of the other organs we’ve seen him investigate. It’s possible this is due to the fact that she had a cardiac disease on transfer to our facility. It was then that the MTF team rushed in and handled the situation, this time with no MTF casualties.
Significance:
This was the most gruesome and vile test of an SCP I have ever seen, we knew that SCP-XXXX was curious but we had no idea he would learn so quickly about reproductive stimuli or that humans have inner organs. We are assuming that his race is not dissimilar to ours in this regard, which is likely why he did what he did. I feel sick making this report, that woman, and what he did to her. This is madness, and this will be the final human test I will be performing with SCP-XXXX.

*FINAL TEST*
Object Test #34: “Crystal”

Time: ████ pm
Description:
A clear quartz crystal was placed on the floor in front of the neural overload chair in the containment chamber of SCP-XXXX. Shortly after, the power to the chair was cut. SCP-XXXX stood up, stayed still for 3 minutes, then he looked around the room for a moment, spotted the crystal, and picked it up. He seemed almost bewildered by it as he studied the outside structure, almost like he was entirely confused as to what it was and how it worked. He threw it multiple times in an attempt to destroy it out of frustration. SCP-XXXX sat back in his chair then stood up again picking up the crystal. He then sat on the floor and stared at the crystal for nearly 17 hours with no movement other than the normal vibration. Then our cameras started malfunctioning, SCP-XXXX was making the crystal float. The crystal floated for 12 more hours before the whole room started to shake, on first glance in the room we noticed nothing, then we saw the crystal completely atomize into thin air, our MTF team rushed in and were killed one by one. We then locked down the room as SCP-XXXX got distracted ripping apart the MTF team’s corpses and their guns and other items to study them. We will now start to feed him D-Class personnel until we can get the base on priority lock down.
Significance:
This is not a breakthrough, it’s an apocalyptic vision. I don’t know what comes next and I am terrified that this thing will eventually get bored and dissolve the earth to atoms. We need to permanently contain SCP-XXXX so that he doesn’t gain the ability to kill everything on Earth. I’m going to make my final research log now.
