Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an acoustic anechoic chamber. Once a week the Carcass of a cow, pig, sheep, or other medium to large sized animal is to be dispensed into the cell. SCP-XXXX is to be given a children’s dinner knife to eat with. SCP-XXXX does not require a bed, toilet, or sink. Every other month SCP-XXXX is to be transported to a temporary cell for a cell cleaning. Under no circumstances should personnel look directly at the face of SCP-XXXX.

Description: SCP-5167 is a thin humanoid about 2.5 meters tall, with a wingspan of about 2.3 meters. When discovered, SCP-XXXX had a nest in the ████ forest near █████ in the state of Maine, United States. SCP-XXXX was moving to a new location when captured. Missing persons data indicates that SCP-XXXX moves often, staying in one location for about two to four months.

Any person that looks directly at the face of SCP-XXXX will immediately exhibit a freeze-threat response. According to corroborated reports, SCP-XXXX induces an irrational fear in humans that escaping from SCP-XXXX is impossible, and, as such, results in an instinctual “freeze” response. Victims will remain in this state until they feel as if they are safe, most commonly after SCP-XXXX leaves the area. It has been noted that depictions of SCP-XXXX such as camera footage, drawings, and verbal descriptions have no effect.

SCP-XXXX hunts in phases.

Phase One-

Phase one lasts 3-4 days. SCP-XXXX goes through phase one after moving to a new location or after finishing phase four. During phase one, SCP-XXXX will observe local human populations, and sleeps in its nest about every 34 hours for 5-8 hours at a time. If SCP-XXXX has not made a nest, it will sleep on the ground. It is unknown what SCP-XXXX does when there is no human population near it’s nest.

Phase Two-

SCP-XXXX will pick a human target, preferring humans with high amounts of fat. SCP-XXXX will stalk the target obsessively for 3-5 days, forgoing sleep. During this phase SCP-XXXX will learn to mimic the voices and sounds of people the target interacts with on a daily basis. Towards the end of phase two, SCP-XXXX will utilize these mimics to confuse its target.

Phase Three-

SCP-XXXX will now attempt to lure a target towards it’s nest using the learned mimics. If SCP-XXXX does not have a nest at the time, it will try to lead the target to where the nest will be. SCP-XXXX behaves patiently with targets, attempting to lure them for 3-5 days. If the SCP-XXXX’s lure works, it will kill the target by strangulation or by breaking their spine; then proceed to Phase Four. If SCP-XXXX fails to lure the target, it will return to its nest. SCP-XXXX will then release a scream at 140 dB, mimicking a person emotionally close to the target. Should SCP-XXXX's target approach the nest, SCP-XXXX will terminate the subject via its default methods of strangulation or spinal fracture and proceed to Phase Four. Should SCP-XXXX still fail to lure the target towards its nest, it will proceed to Phase Three-A."

Phase Three-A- SCP-XXXX will become frantic. In Stage Three-A, SCP-XXXX will attempt to kill the target in any way possible. SCP-XXXX will run to the target, no longer trying to remain hidden. SCP-XXXX shows a disregard for stealth, and will kill anyone that gets in it’s way. OncXX fnds the target, it will kill them Via its standard methods, SCP-XXXX when then brutalize the corpse by utilizing a nearby sharp object to lacerate the target's abdomen and remove its skin to form a hole. SCP-XXXX will then place its orfice near this laceration and consume the victim's blood. It will then proceed to Phase Four.
Phase Four- SCP-XXXX will pick up the victim’s body and carry it to the nest. Once at the nest, SCP-XXXX will skin the victim. SCP-XXXX will then use the body parts to build or improve it’s nest. Improvements include: padding the ground; creating makeshift walls; creating a tent-like structure to protect it from the sun. SCP-XXXX will then begin from again from Phase One.

Addendum: Alex ████, sibling to an SCP-XXXX victim is aware of SCP-XXXX's existence and is actively searching for it. It is believed that Alex ████ has no knowledge of the veil, and frequents conspiracy sites such as Parawatch.
