Containment: Commercially available 500mL "Sea-Monkey Ocean-Zoo"

Food Source: Hand-fed by Dr. Kurtis.
Description: Colony 00 was recovered from a home in Gray County, Kansas.
Results: Members of the colony acted hostile upon arrival at Area-12, but accepted food. Hostility and noncooperation increased after Dr. Kurtis began harvesting eggs, culminating two days later in what can only be described as a hunger strike. All members of Colony 00 expired over the next 72 hours due to starvation.

Colony #01, "Progenitors"
Containment: 1000mL beaker
Salinity: 30%
Food Source: Hand-fed by Dr. Kurtis once a week.
Environment: Beaker left on lab table, with full view of surroundings. After one week, junior researcher Siegmund added a layer of aquarium gravel.
Description: All eggs harvested from Colony 00 were transferred to the beaker. As suggested by Mr. Siegmund, the colony was left with a full view of the lab in an attempt to have them imprint on Dr. Kurtis.
Results: By the sixth week, the colony seems to have successfully imprinted on Dr. Kurtis. members of the colony now move to the far side of the beaker as feed is dispensed. Observation indicates that most, if not all, prostrate themselves during feeding. Some hostility was observed during the eighth week at the commencement of egg harvesting, but the colony became more compliant after two more harvests.

Addendum: By week 10, the colony was transferred to a 5gal (20L) aquarium.
